QKR Stampede Challenge - Angels

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!  Are you still too full from all the turkey & stuffing? I promise myself every year that I won't eat so much and then it starts coming out of the oven & you smell it ........I guess we are all allowed one day a year to just indulge!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Give Thanks!

I'm back!!

For those of you who have wondered where my usual Friday QKR Stampede post has been for the past couple of weeks, I have been moving from Iowa to Lincoln, Nebraska!  What an adventure! After living in the same house for over 41 years, there was a lot of "stuff" that needed to be packed & moved or discarded or donated.  Made me wish I had taken my daughter's advice years ago to purge everything you haven't used in a year!  ha ha

This week's challenge is "Give Thanks" and is a fitting one for me!  I am really giving thanks for the loyal friends who helped me pack & move, especially Gail!  I don't know how I would have done it without all her help!  And then, of course, there was my own family who helped me unpack & put all of my "stuff" away!  I have been truly blessed!

I'm LOVING my new place!  Everything is on one floor & my craft room is gigantic! And even better, it opens onto a sunroom where I can relax between cards once the weather improves.

My digi image for today is #14515-Hunting Turkey.  I'm guessing among the things he is thankful for is the second ammendment!  ha ha

My new place is in a park-like setting with tons of Canadian Geese.  They tell me there are also deer and fox, but I haven't seen either of those yet!

Dies R Us Challenge - Tags (for anything)

Hello, friends!

Are you ready to start thinking of Christmas?  Well, it is never too early and if you are, then you may also be thinking about creating some gorgeous gift tags for all those presents under the tree!  The theme this week is tags and while you can choose any type, I decided to go with Christmas tags.

The dies I used were the following:  Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders and Tutti Scrolly Deer Edge.  I cut both from glitter cardstock.


I'm going to keep this post short because I am in the process of moving!  What an adventure!  And what a LOT of work!  I'll be moving to Lincoln, Nebraska where my daughter & her family live.
