Rose Sympathy Cards

Hi, gals!

Nobody likes to make sympathy cards, but this rose stamp seemed like the perfect way to express your sorrow.  Combined with a gorgeous background die, they make beautiful cards.  I loved it so much I made several in different colors.

QKR Stampede Challenge - Anything Goes!

It's that time again.  Time for our weekly Friday QKR Stampede Challenge and as always the theme is Anything Goes!
I chose Digi # 8304 Hippo at the Beach for my card.  I fell in love with her.  It looks like she is ready to take a dip in the water and I hope there is nobody sitting close to the edge because I'm sure with her size she will get everyone sitting close soaking wet!

"Mr" Snow Guy!

As promised, here is the "guy" version of the Plum Purdy snow people! Just like the female version, he ALWAYS gets colored up every single Christmas!  I absolutely adore these stamps and I'm just sorry they no longer make stamps!  I'm just glad I came across them back when I was so in to tole painting!  I painted every single night and loved it!

My favorite snow lady!

This is an old, old stamp & one I color up every single Christmas!  I bought it from Plum Purdy (they were originally just making tole painting books) but did carry a few stamps, and luckily for me I got several of them!   This is the female version of the snowman and I will have the guy version tomorrow.

I love, love, love her!  And the "guy" snowman that goes with her is even cuter!
I'll have him for you tomorrow.

Christmas trees!

Happy Hump Day, gals!

This is an old, old, Stamping Up stamp that I have had forever.  One of those I just can't let go of.
It gets colored up every year somehow.

I just recently got this Lawn Fawn Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die and can't seem to get enough of it.  I've done tons of cards with it already and have more planned.

At present, I'd have to say it's my favorite die!

Dies R Us Challenge - Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

Can you believe how quickly the summer is going!  It's already time for our fifteenth of the month Dies R Us challenge and the theme is a really, really fun one! Planes, Trains and Automobiles!
What a fun theme! Kudos to Darlene for coming up with such awesome themes! I always look forward to seeing what they will be each time!  I'm never disappointed either!

I chose the following dies for my card: Frantic Stamper Steam Train, Frantic Stamper Convertible Roadster and Impression Obsession Plane with Banner along with Sue Wilson Stitched Lattice Frames.

No, I wasn't drinking when I posted this....I just can't figure out how to use the straighten tool in the new program I'm using now.  I thought I had it figured out but each time I tried to adjust it, it just got worse and worse.  I'm surprised it wasn't totally upside down.

Hopefully, your week is going well and has been a great one.  We can all use a stash of birthday cards and I loved this image!  Enough that I made two of them.  ha ha

What a difference colors make!  From pastel colors to super bright primary colors, color just changes everything completely!  I actually love both of these.  It is such a fun image to color up!

Happy Retirement!

Happy Monday, gals!

For those of you who are already retired, I'm sure you are loving it as much as I do.  And for those of you who have not yet done it, you will adore it! 

I found this cute and funny image for a retirement card.  The inside sentiment says "the only trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off!"  Lol!

I remember the day I retired.  It was such a combination of joy and fear.  Fear you wouldn't be able to handle the lack of pay check and joy that you didn't have to now. Along with that was knowing how much I would miss a lot of the gals I worked with!  Thankfully, I still keep in touch with lots of them!

Dies R Us Challenge - Nature

Hi, ladies!

Time for our first of the month Dies R Us challenge again.  Boy, the time flies doesn't it!
I grabbed some of my favorite "guy" dies for this card, including Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval Stackables, Die-Namites Cattails, and Cheery Lynn Fishing Boat Set.

There is something so relaxing about a day spent fishing.  I really miss the times we would go out.
