Paper Piecing Challenge

Hello, again!

Well, this is my second post for the day and one I have been looking forward to!  I LOVE this card. Sometimes you find an image that just speaks to you & this beautiful one from A Day For Daisies is one of my all-time favorites!  What a sweet face!  As with last week, I am posting twice because I am joining in the Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge for the week as a "step sister" with a paper piecing post.  The challenge this week is to use paper piecing or paper piercing on a card.  I loved this image so much I actually made two versions.  Here is the version I submitted for the challenge:

And here is the second version I created.  I went with black hair this time instead of red & a slightly different die setup.

I love them both!  There is such a sweetness & innocence to this image!  It's your turn now! Head on over to the Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge and join in!  It's always fun to try a new challenge!

Elephant Wishes!

Happy Wednesday!

I have a happy little birthday card to share today for the Dies R Us weekly Inspiration Blog.  This adorable little guy is a Wild Rose Studio stamp & I'm in love with him.  He was a birthday gift from someone dear to me!

I only used one die on this card!  Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval Bliss (which we are currently out of in the Dies R US Store).  You can't see the Wink of Stella clear glitter on the flowers, but in person it is even cuter.

Be sure you head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift certificate to our amazing, amazing store!  Anyone who knows me, knows how much I LOVE dies and there is no site anywhere that offers so many different brands and lower shipping than you will find at Dies R Us!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 127 - Critters

Hi, gals!

I hope your week was fantastic & you are ready for a wonderful weekend.   I've treated myself to some chocolate so I'm covered!  ha ha

Today's challenge is "Critters" and QKR has SO many adorable ones it was hard to choose.  I finally decided on digi # 14606 - Happy Dog.  Something about this happy little face just got to me!  I decided to make him an "inside" doggy.  All that long white hair would be too hard to keep clean if he was outside! And besides, anybody this darned cute deserves to be inside & pampered!

It's your turn!  Browse thru the awesome selection of  "critters" that you will find at the store & play along with us for a chance to win even more!  I can't wait to see what you come up with! Head on over to the challenge now!

Fluttering Butterflies

Happy Wednesday, ladies!

We all survived Valentine's Day....hopefully!  Or are you still eating chocolate?  ha ha

Now that we can concentrate on something else, I thought it would be the perfect time to get our stash of day to day cards replenished.  Today's card is a "thinking of you" card that uses one of my new dies.  I am totally in love with this Memory Box Fluttering Corner die and the Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly Small die goes with it perfectly!

I'm already planning a lot of other cards in my head for this gorgeous die!  You can find it at the Dies R Us Store, your one-stop shopping experience for the largest supply of die companies & lowest shipping rates around!  Trust me when I say this!  Those of you who know me well, know how addicted I am to dies & these really are the lowest prices around.

Catch you again soon!

Birthday Flowers!

Hi, everyone!

Surprise! Another post already!  I couldn't wait to show off this adorable little elephant from Wild Rose Studio.  He was a birthday gift from someone special & I wanted to do a good job with him.  I think this is the first card in ages I only used one die on & actually finished with one of my Martha Stewart around the page punches.   I hope you like him!

I'll be back tomorrow with something more for Dies R Us!  Catch you then!

Many thanks!

Hi, everyone!

Surprise!  I had a card to post for yesterday, but since I already had another one scheduled, I opted for posting today instead.  One of my dearest friends gave me an awesome embossing folder for my birthday & I just couldn't wait to make a card with it.  I combined it with a new die I had gotten and came up with this!

I used watercolor paper for the embossed portion as well as the die, since it was embossed too. A little gingham paper, gingham ribbon & presto!

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day!  Catch you later!

With a Flourish!

Hello, everyone!

Surprise!  I bet you were not expecting a Sunday post were you?  Well, the fifteenth of the month just happens to fall on a Sunday and today is the first day of our new challenge at Dies R Us!  The challenge theme this time is to "Use a Flourish" and I can't wait to see what wonderful things you all come up with!  If you have never joined in one of the challenges, please think about doing it!  First of all, it will make you challenge yourself to come up with something special and it will also give you the chance to win a gift certificate to Dies R Us!  There is nothing better than that!  They have so many wonderful things that you could literally just close your eyes & point to a spot on any page and find something you would love!

I only used 2 dies on my card for this challenge: Cheery Lynn Victorian Romance Flourish & Tattered Lace Baby Girl Booties.

Tattered Lace also makes a Baby Boy Bootie & you are going to want that one as well!  Trust me on that!

I hope this has gotten you inspired to try a card of your own & join in the fun!

Cardabilities Challenge

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!  I hope you have something fun & romantic planned (or at least have a day where chocolate will be involved!).  To celebrate the day, I am sharing a Valentine I made for the Cardabilities Challenge that Dies R Us is participating in today.  It was made with the following dies:
Impression Obsession Cupids, Cheery Lynn Two of Hearts, Cheery Lynn Heart Chain Border, Poppy Stamps Classic Ribbons, & Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves.

They had a really terrific sketch we were to follow for the design on this card.  Check it out & enter something yourself!

Don't eat too much chocolate today!  Catch you later!

QKR Challenge # 126 - Lovely Lace

Hi, again!

Friday FINALLY got here didn't it?   As I promised last week, I am back with another Valentine idea.  This week's challenge is Lovely Lace.  Just use lace on whatever your card or project is & you could be the lucky winner of some adorable digi stamps of your choice from QKR Stampede!  I decided on digi # 501 Honey Bear for my card.

I found some wild paper with flowers that matched the flowers he was holding & decided it would be perfect for a Valentine as the flowers are actually tiny hearts if you look closely!

Head on over to the QKR Stampede challenge, ladies!  We all have lacy dies, papers, or the real stuff laying around so this should be an easy challenge!

Catch you again soon with some new dies!

For my sweetheart!

Hello, again!

While I don't normally post twice in one day, I will be doing that today & again on the 25th.  I was asked by one of my team members to be a guest "step sister" at the Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge for 2 weeks.  It sounded like a lot of fun, so I decided to do it!  Today's challenge is to make a  Valentine for your sweetheart and use a rose.  This cute digi from Tiddly Inks just spoke to me!

Be sure to head over to the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge & join in on all the fun!

Catch you later!

Love Grows Here!

Happy "Almost" Valentine's Day!

You only have a few days to get those Valentine cards done & ready to hand to that someone special or even fewer days if you have to mail them!  I have another quick idea for you today that will allow you to create a cute card in record time.  I used one of my favorite Penny Black hedgehog sets, but you can use any image you like (or even just a sentiment) to create your card!  It takes only 2 dies too! Cheery Lynn Sweetheart Frame and Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two & you are in business!

My image was a hair too large to fit in my die so I fussy cut it and placed it on top instead!

Don't forget to check out the talented designers on the Dies R Us Blogs!  The Inspiration Blog is new every day Monday thru Friday and the Challenge Blog starts a new challenge on the first & fifteenth of each month for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

More Valentines!

Hi, all!

Well, I thought I was done with Valentine's Day, but then I found 2 more images I had colored & never made into cards.  I decided I might as well finish them & I'm glad I did.  This first little guy was a QKR Stampede digi that I fell in love with.  Such a shy little guy!  The beautiful embossed hearts were a gift from a sweet friend & provided the perfect touch.

This valentine features a favorite Penny Black stamp & one of my favorite dies from Spellbinders.

I think I'm done!  Unless I do more cleaning & find another colored image, of course!  ha ha

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

QKR Challenge # 125 - Anything But a Card!

Happy Friday!

I bet you are all looking forward to the weekend! Me too!  And I'll also bet you are all working on Valentines, aren't you?  Well, sometimes you want to give more than just a Valentine to someone (especially kids) so today I decorated a red paper sack for Valentine's Day in keeping with this week's challenge "Anything but a card."  It was a lot of fun & really didn't take a lot of time.  I colored up digi # 24190 - Cupid Bear and fussy cut him to add to the center of a lace doily.  A few more lacy dies and a Martha Stewart border punch & he was ready to go!  See for yourself!

Get your thinking caps on & see what you can come up with!  It's a great chance to win free digi stamps!
Here is the link to enter!

I'll be back again with more Valentine ideas!  Happy Creating!

Some Bunny Loves You!

Happy Wednesday, gals!

Today I'm getting away from the Valentines I have been sharing to post an Easter card.  I just had to make something with a gorgeous new egg die I got!  The dies I used were Die-Namites Spring Egg Scene and Spellbinders A-2 Fancy Ribbon Threader.  Both can be found at Dies R Us along with a tremendous amount of temptations of all kinds!

Can you see why I fell in love with this egg die?  I can't wait to try it in different colors & paper patterns! And it goes together so quickly, if you need several cards, they will go together in no time at all.

I hope this gives you an itch to start working on your own Easter cards!

Enjoy the rest of the week, ladies!
