Hello again!
Is everyone still groaning with all the food you ate yesterday? I LOVE getting together with family and friends anytime, but there is some so special about Thanksgiving, isn't there? It's a time to sit & think about all the riches we have (and I'm NOT speaking of monetary riches) and the blessings we have been given. My grandmother used to say she was "rich"......NOT "wealthy" and then she would smile & say "there is a difference, you know" & I would hear her tell me how rich she was in all that REALLY mattered. So I hope your day was "rich" with blessings!
On to our challenge! The QKR Stampede challenge this week is "Anything But A Card" and boy, did this one stump me for awhile! I'm so used to doing mostly cards, that I confess to having a bit of panic wondering what I could come up with. The answer was right in front of me.....literally, right in front of me! I looked at the empty can of peanuts I had just finished & was going to throw away & decided it would be a perfect container for a gift of candy at Christmas! I've been trying to eat less candy & eat things that are healthier for you & nuts seem to fill that bill. I may have to eat a lot more of them now, because the container turned out so cute, I plan to make quite a few to give out now! And I know exactly what I am filling them with too! My new favorite candy......(yes, I know I said I wasn't going to eat as much....I didn't say I was stopping!)......Werther's Original Creamy Caramel Filled Hard Candies! If you have never tried them, DON'T!!!!!!! The outside hard candy layer is really thin & melts almost immediately & then you get the inside creamy caramel which is the best I've ever tasted! They are awesome and addictive! Heed my warning!! ha ha Anyway, my cute little container was done with digi # 22301 Winter Moose. Isn't he just adorable?
The lid was already green, which looked pretty much like Christmas ! You can't see the other side of the sentiment (Merry Chris-moose to you) but there is a cute fir tree there. One word of warning, however, be sure the person you are giving this container to has NO peanut allergies & is aware that the container once held peanuts! There are a lot of people who are affected by peanut allergies!
This is the top of the peanut can now. How cute is that moose? I can see him on Xmas tags, Xmas cards, more containers......Hop on over to the store & see what you can find! And be sure to join in on all the fun from this week's challenge too! There are some really crafty ladies out there & I can't wait to see what we get!
Happy Crafting!

How "Tweet" ....
Happy Hump Day everyone!
Bet you are all frantically running around right now getting last minute pies baked and getting ready for the big Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow aren't you? I can smell the turkey cooking just thinking about it! YUM!
Once the dinner is done, though, you are going to go into panic mode when you realize just how close Christmas actually is! If you are like me, you have been working on cards for awhile now, but are nowhere near done. Here is my latest card to share for today's Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.
I used a cute digi from Dearie Dolls for my image and the following dies: Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two, Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco B & Impression Obsession Fir Trees. If you are short on time, you can easily add another die cut or just a sentiment to the oval.
Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog once tomorrow's dinner is over & you are sitting around relaxing! And treat yourself to an early Christmas present by visiting the Dies R Us Store & getting some of their fabulous dies, embossing folders or stamps! They also have gift certificates, gals! The perfect gift to give or to ask Santa for yourself!
Catch you again soon! Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm "SNOW" in love with you!
Hi, gals!
Just a quick post today. I want to share another darling Sassy Cheryl snowman with you. This one is giving some love to his little puppy friend. I printed this digi on some of the same paper I used for the background & fussy cut his hat & scarf to match.
The dies I used on this card were Impression Obsession Pine Branch and Spellbinders Heirloom Rectangle. Both of these can be found at Dies R Us!
I hope you are having a great week! Catch you again tomorrow!

QKR Stampede Challenge #114 - Bling It On!
Hi, everyone!
I hope you have had a wonderful week! I'm sure everyone is getting busy with preparations for Thanksgiving next week, but I'm sure a lot of you are still sneaking in some time to work on cards, aren't you? Yup! Me too! Once you get that addiction.......ha ha
Today's challenge at QKR Stampede is a fun one! It's "Bling It On!" I know how much we all love to add some bling to our cards so this should be a challenge everyone wants to participate in. I decided to do a Christmas card for mine, killing two birds with one stone! The digi I chose was #9802 Fresh Cut Tree. Have you ever seen a cuter beaver!
After I colored him with my Prismacolor brush markers, I fussy cut him out so I could create the exact scene I had in my mind. I actually debated on whether to put him "inside" in a room setting or outside & my friends who were stamping with me the day I colored him voted on "outside" so this is the result. I had so much fun coloring him, I'm thinking I may still do an "inside" version too!
I hope I've given YOU some ideas and got you thinking about things you might do for this fun challenge! Head on over to the store too! Even if you decide not to enter the challenge, you don't want to miss all the adorable digi's they have!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving next week, and try not to eat too much!

Dear Santa!
Happy Hump Day!
Today I'm sharing a Dear Santa card that I made with some beautiful embossing folders & dies that are available at Dies R Us. We all know about the awesome selection of dies, embossing folders & stamps that they carry, but Sizzix has several sets that contain both embossing folders AND matching dies! What more could a gal ask for!! I used Sizzix Ornament Set #2 for the card I'm sharing today.
This is a shot of the beautiful embossed front with a Mo Manning digi image in the center.
I also embossed the inside of the card as well. The embossing you get with these folders is gorgeous & highly detailed.
This is a closeup of the detail .
And this is a shot of the 2 embossing folders AND the 4 dies that come in this set! You are only limited by your own imagination!
Head on over to Dies R Us now & check out all the other goodies they have! And don't forget the daily Inspiration Blog and the twice monthly Challenge blogs either! And to make things even MORE exciting, if you head to the Dies R Us Facebook page, you can enter our celebration event for a chance to win one of 3 gift vouchers we are giving away to celebrate 1,000 followers! Here is the link where you will find all the instructions to enter! https://www.facebook.com/diesrus

The theme for this challenge is Christmas, so that leaves you with a wide open field of possibilities, ladies! Put your thinking caps on & come up with something for the challenge! The winner gets a $10 gift certificate to the Dies R Us store and life doesn't get much better than that! It's my all time favorite place to shop!!

I used a glitter paper for the sky background as well as for the snow & I added some Scribbles Shiny White paint to the trees for added depth & that snow look. These are the dies I used & all of them are available at Dies R Us! Memory Box Manor House (they also carry several other houses if you like one of those better), Cheery Lynn Christmas Light Swag, Impression Obsession Small Snowflakes, Impression Obsession Fir Trees & Taylored Expressions Picket Fence Border.

QKR Stampede Challenge # 113 - I'm Thankful For...
Happy Friday!
Time for another QKR Stampede Blog Challenge! The theme for this week is "I'm Thankful".....boy, was this hard to decide what to choose for my card. I finally settled on friends! I am thankful for so very many things in my life....God, family, health, friends, (furry family), living in the USA....the list is endless! I have been blessed with so many truly wonderful friends in my life. Some of them, I have never met except through my blog and the emails we exchange, but nevertheless, they are treasured friends. Some of them I see every week and they are almost like additional sisters. So to celebrate friends, I chose digi # 23502 Best Friends & #17014 Friends Bring Memories.
Now it's YOUR turn! Head on over to the QKR Stampede blog & join in with a card showing what YOU are thankful for! I can't wait to see what you choose!
Catch you later!

Happy 90th
Hi, again!
Well, today I'm going from Christmas cards to birthday cards! I just finished a couple of cards for my uncle who is turning 90 on the 16th. He is dad's "younger" brother! ha ha His daughter is having a big party for him & wants all of us to send cards. I made two, one for me to send & one for dad.
This is the one that I will give him. I found a great sentiment for the inside too. This image is from Bugaboo.
I'm not sure what happened to this one. The red just didn't photo well for some reason, but this is the one that I made for Dad to send. The image is from Mo Manning. The inside message says "Don't worry about age. Old will always be 10 years older than we are! Happy Birthday!" I thought that would be perfect since Dad is 92!
Catch you again tomorrow! Have a great day!

A White Christmas!
Hi, gals!
Well, it's Wednesday again & time for another post from Dies R Us! Today, I'm sharing an all white (well, actually an off-white) Christmas card! I love the look of all white or all cream cards. Don't get me wrong, I love the brightly colored cards too, but there is something so beautiful about the white ones.
Here is my card for today. I used only 3 dies for this card: Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poinsettia, Impression Obsession Twig Wreath and Cheery Lynn "Merry Christmas" Sentiments.
Here is a close up of the beautiful poinsettia!
I made this a 6" square card and used some gold card stock for matting. You can see all the actual details on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog. Be sure you go there daily, as we have some fantastic designers who will leave you with some great ideas for your own cards!
Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Store too! You know how addicted to dies I am and I get them all at Dies R Us! They have the best selection, the lowest prices AND the lowest shipping rates of anyone!!!!
Have a great week & I'll be back with some more ideas later!

The Moose is Loose!
Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone has remembered to vote already or will do it on the way home from work tonight! Mid-term elections aren't as exciting as Presidential elections, I know, but they are still important!! If you don't vote, you can't complain about the outcome! Lol I voted early, so I CAN complain! And loudly! ha ha
Today I have a fast card to share. I had colored up this cute moose digi from QKR Stampede to use on something else & thought I would grab him for a card instead. I recently got a gorgeous snowflake die from Impression Obsession that looked so beautiful in the photo I knew it would be my favorite when it came. Well, I was wrong! It IS beautiful, but it cuts out so many fine layers that putting it together again on a card takes just forever. I've resorted to using just parts of the inside by themselves or just the negative snowflake that is left when you cut it out. Which is what I did here! When I get more time, I will share some cards done with the whole snowflake!
For the border, I pulled out some of my neglected Martha Stewart punches! With all the beautiful dies available now, I don't use these as often as I did. I'm going to remedy that, however, and try to remember to grab them more often.
Have a wonderful day! I'll see you tomorrow with another Christmas card for Dies R Us!
