Happy New Year!!!
It's hard to believe the year is over already & another one is about to begin. My prayer for all of us is that it will be a better one & be filled with many blessings!
I'm sure some of you will be going out tonight to ring in the new year, but I'm happy to curl up with the Kindle & read a good book while I munch on goodies! A sure sign of old age, I'm sure! ha ha
Now that Christmas is over, it's time to start thinking ahead to the Valentine's you will be making. I'm starting with a Penny Black cupid stamp I've had for years. It's a cat, of course! And one of my favorites!
I used only 2 dies on this & that was all it needed to frame it perfectly. Cheery Lynn Sweetheart Frame and Impression Obsession Cupids are all you need for this card.
I've been working on several Valentine cards today & will share them in my next few posts. Dies R Us has some absolutely amazing dies which make it so simple to create just incredible cards. Check it out!
And don't forget that a new Dies R Us Challenge begins tomorrow on the Challenge Blog. Head over there to join in the fun & for a chance to win a gift voucher to the store!
Stay safe tonight!!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 119 - Santa or Snowman
Hello, everyone!
Are you completely exhausted from the hustle and bustle of the holiday? I hope Santa found you all & that you got to enjoy the holiday with family and friends. I imagine, like me, you LOVE Christmas, but are also a tiny, tiny bit glad when it is over & things can get back to normal again. Well, this may be the perfect time to take a few minutes for yourself, pull out some of those new goodies that Santa left you and join in on this weeks challenge at QKR Stampede. The challenge theme this week is Santa or Snowman so you have tons of options! I chose digi # 13004 Winter Friends for my card.
I loved this little snowman and his friend. This card could easily be used as either a Christmas card or even as a thank you after Christmas is over. I added some holly corner dies which don't show up as well in the photo as they do in person.
Get your thinking caps on & decide what you are going to enter this week! Go to our challenge here or the QKR Stampede store here!
If I don't chat with you before next week, have a safe and fun New Year's eve! I'll be staying home with my feet up, munching on snacks, reading my Kindle or working on cards! Lol
Happy New Year!

Thank You Santa!
Merry Christmas, dear friends!
I hope you have all your shopping done, & are ready to relax & enjoy the blessings of family & friends for a couple of days. I know all of my stamper & card making friends are hoping Santa has brought them some new toys (or at least a gift card to buy some new toys!).
Today I am sharing a quick thank you card which is super easy to make & will really make anyone who gets it feel special. It's made with just 3 dies: Memory Box Puffy Clouds, Impression Obsession Plane With Banner & Cheery Lynn Winter Neighborhood Border, all of which can be found at Dies R Us!
I got so caught up in this card, I made it in several different versions & am STILL making new ones! My daughter wanted 10 once she saw it! I'm including some of the versions just so you see how fun it is!
If you are doing thank you cards for other occasions, you could do the houses in different colors, snip off the trees, etc. to change the entire look of the card.
I want to wish all of you a wonderful, happy, healthy & blessed Christmas! I am so grateful for all of you & so many of you have become my "second" family! Merry Christmas!!!!
Hugs,
Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge # 118 - Lots of Layers
Hi, again!
Well, the countdown to Christmas is on, isn't it? I hope you have had a great week & have found some time to work on all the projects you wanted to finish before Christmas. Hopefully, you still have a few minutes to stop & join us in this weeks challenge at QKR Stampede. The challenge theme this week is "Lots of Layers" and I chose digi # 15910 Bundled Up for my card.
I loved this little guy! All bundled up against the winter with so many clothes on he can probably barely move! ha ha How many times did we bundle our own kids up just like that before sending them outside? This brought back a lot of happy memories.
Take a few minutes to unwind, relax and send us your card for the latest challenge. You may be the winner of some new stamps just in time for Christmas!
If I don't chat with you before next week, have a wonderful & blessed Christmas! Stay warm & safe & take a few minutes to reflect on all your blessings & the true meaning of the holiday.
Merry Christmas!

Fast & Easy!!
Hi, everyone!
Wow, there is only a week left until Christmas Eve! Are you one of those people like my daughter who has been completely done for weeks or are you like me & still working on last minute things? If you still need last minute Christmas cards I have just the thing for you today! It's fast, easy & beautiful! And uses only two dies!
The dies used are Poppy Stamps Blooming Poinsettia and Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves, and both can be found at the Dies R Us Store! (Along with hundreds of other "yummy" things!)
As a side note, this would also make a great "Thank You" card by just substituting the Merry Christmas sentiment with a Thank You sentiment!
Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Inspiration & Challenge Blogs too! We just started a new challenge on the 15th & you might be the winner of a gift voucher!
See you again soon!

Time for one more card!
Hi, friends!
Well, we are getting down to the home stretch for making & sending Christmas cards, aren't we? I couldn't help sharing just one more with you today! The Dies R Us Challenge which starts today is "Anything Goes" and I just had to share one more card! I adore all the dies I used in this card & if your cards are already done for this year, you might want to think about making it for next year! The dies I used for this card are as follows: Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Background, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Outline & Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves.
I wanted you to see a closeup of this gorgeous poinsettia! Combined with my favorite leaf die, it makes quite a statement on a card!
I know you are all busy getting ready for Christmas, but I'm hoping you will take a few minutes to join in the challenge for a chance to win a gift voucher! Wouldn't that be awesome! Who has to wait for Santa?
And gals, if you are lucky enough to get gift cards from Santa, don't forget all the wonderful shopping at Dies R Us! If you have been checking our daily posts at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, you probably have a huge wish list of things you want!
Happy Crafting!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 117 - Trim the Tree
Hi, all!
Another week gone already! If you are like me you are hoping you get everything done before Christmas gets here! And if you are like me, you are probably still working on getting those Christmas cards done. The challenge this week at QKR Stampede will help you with that AND give you a chance to win some free digi stamps! What a deal!!! This week's challenge is "Trim the Tree" and what a perfect theme for your Christmas cards! I chose digi # 16402 Tangled Santa and #9407 Decorated Tree for my card.
I LOVE this card! It turned out better than I hoped when I first got the idea. I fussy cut my Santa & put him in front of the adorable tree. You can't see it in the photo, but I used a lot of Wink of Stella on it too for some extra glitter & shine. The die I used for the frame is one of my favorites, Spellbinder Mystical Embrace and I used Spellbinders Elegant Ovals for the tree die. Both of these can be found at Dies R Us.
Stop on over to QKR Stampede & check out all the great stamps! They carry both regular and digi so there is always something to please everyone! Then head on over to the challenge & join in on all the fun!
Until next time,
Sherri

Silent Night!
Happy Hump Day, Ladies!
It's time to share another Dies R Us posting with you today! I know it is getting down to "crunch" time as far as card making goes. At this point, you don't have a lot of time and using dies is not only the fastest way to go, but often the most beautiful. I used only 3 dies for this card: Impression Obsession Small Deer, Impression Obsession Fir Trees & Impression Obsession Small Snowflakes. All of these can be found at Dies R Us! (Along with so many other fabulous dies you will have a hard time deciding which ones you have to have first!)
This is a closeup of the snowflake I created using just 3 of the 5 dies in the set. I also used a Wink of Stella pen on the snowflake and the white trees for extra shine & sparkle!
Be sure you check out the Dies R Us Inspiration and Challenge blogs! The Inspiration blog will give you daily ideas and the challenge blog is a great place to enter your cards for a chance to win a gift voucher to the store!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 116 - Rainbow
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a terrific week & your weather is good, or at least getting better! It's time for the weekly QKR Stampede challenge again & this week's theme is "Rainbow" so you will have to put your thinking caps on! We have all been in the Christmas, fall/winter mode for awhile so I had to think a bit before I came up with my own design! I chose digi # 15805 - Stork. I fell in love with this bird! And now that I've made a card with him, I can see him becoming my favorite baby card digi! What do you think?
I have to admit it took me most of the day yesterday to come up with this card. I tried numerous dies for the background & none of them were just what I wanted. And at first I planned to put the rainbow kind of behind the square, but that didn't look right either. I finally opted for the rainbow on top of the background die and covered the "ends" of the rainbow with clouds. I have another stork already colored up in pink and think I will do some in mint green or yellow too. This is the second stork digi I have from QKR & if you need baby cards, they have adorable stamps!
Are you ready to put your thinking cap on now & come up with a rainbow themed card for the newest challenge? Good luck!! You may be the next winner!
Catch you later,
Sherri
