Howdy!!
Thought I would get with the theme of this week's challenge right off the bat! A cowboy theme sounds strange, I know, but once you go to the QKR Stampede store & check out all the cowboy themed stamps you will be hooked! I had a hard time deciding, but finally picked #24176 Little Cowboy!
This would be a great card to send a friend just to say hello! I can't think of anything more fun than going to the mailbox & finding a handmade card from a friend inside! That always makes my day special!
Head on over to QKR Stampede's store & choose your digi for this week!
Catch you later!

Serene Christmas Scene
Happy Wednesday, friends!
I know it might be hard to concentrate on Christmas cards when the temps outside are this high, but with all the amazing Christmas dies you will find at Dies R Us, this is the perfect time to get a jump start on them before all your favorite dies are gone! The selection right now is amazing & growing every day.
I gathered 4 of my favorite dies for today's card: Frantic Stamper Evergreen Forest Edger, Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval Stackables, Impression Obsession Pine Cone & Fir Branches, and Impression Obsession Deer Trio. At the present time, the deer die, pine cone and forest edger are out of stock, but if you don't already have some of these dies, just go the the store & type in "deer" and you will find 27 to choose from. Typing in "pine cone" will give you 11 and "forest" will give you 5 borders! You may actually find you like some of those better than the ones I chose! And remember, you can always put your name on our waiting list and be emailed when dies come back in too!
Below is a closeup of the beautiful embossing you get with the pine cone die! I popped the top one up with a foam dot for even more dimension.
Don't forget to visit our Dies R Us Challenge Blog! New challenges begin on the first & fifteenth of every month and you could be the lucky winner of a gift certificate to the amazing store!
Have a fantastic week and I will see you next Wednesday!

Have a Great Day!!
Hello, again!
It's hard to believe how quickly the summer has gone. It won't be long before school starts again and these beautiful days are a memory. I decided I wanted to capture a little of the summer magic for my card for today. Starting with an adorable digi image from Sassy Cheryl, I created this cutie with only 3 dies: Memory Box Tiny Tendril (which is currently unavailable, but any one of a number of other leaves would work as well), Elizabeth Craft Designs Bunch of Flowers 4 & Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Square Stackables.
I absolutely love the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Square Stackables dies! The "stitched" look is really popular right now and this set gives you 5 different sizes to play with. Check out the store for all the wonderful "stitched" effect dies!
Be sure you also check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog too! New challenges begin on the first and fifteenth of the month & you could be the winner of a gift card to the store!
I hope you got some great ideas today and are inspired to create something of your own! Enjoy the rest of your week & I will meet you back here next Wednesday!

DRU August 15th Challenge - The Great Outdoors!
Hello, everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying this fantastic weekend and getting outside to take advantage of the weather! Since today is the 15th of the month, it is time for a new challenge at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog and the theme this time is "The Great Outdoors!" You need to use at least one die & create a project showing what the great outdoors means to you! I decided to go with a farm scene! I LOVE the country and have always been envious of anyone lucky enough to live there!
I began this card with one of my favorite images from QKR Stampede. This cow just makes me smile whenever I see her and I could just imagine her deciding to "explore" HER outdoors a little!
The dies I used were as follows: Impression Obsession Cat Die (or DRU Cat Die), Taylored Expressions Picket Fence, Memory Box Puffy Clouds, & Memory Box Farm Tractor.
Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog which runs Monday thru Fridays and gives you lots of ideas! And, of course, the Dies R Us store as well for all the fabulous dies they carry!
Good luck, everyone! I can't wait to see what amazing entries you will post!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 152 - Day at the Beach
Hi, all!
Wouldn't you love to be at the beach somewhere right now? I haven't been to a beach since I was a tiny little girl! But I can still remember the smell of the water & sand! The challenge theme for this week at QKR Stampede is "Day at the Beach" and I wanted to do digi # 19901 Lemonade cat from Eureka Stamps.
I LOVE this cat! He has such a great attitude! I have a small confession to make, however.....As I started to color him, I debated on black or grey for the bottoms of his feet & decided I HATED the black so I re-colored him with grey feet which I loved. Not looking at the theme list, (and I DO know better) I went ahead & plopped him on a grassy hill to drink his lemonade. I took a photo of the card & was all set to post it when I noticed the theme was Day at the Beach.....NOT day in the woods! ha ha So, I started over & used the black feet anyway. The sand is from a jar of something strange I bought at convention last year & have never used. I hope it all stays together when the card is mailed & the poor recipient doesn't end up with an envelope of sand!
Enjoy your weekend!!

How Does Your Garden Grow?
Hi, gals!
Once again, it is my turn to share some inspiration with you & today I thought I would use some of the darling garden inspired dies carried by Dies R Us for a cute note card. If you haven't browsed the store for awhile, you will be amazed at the number of amazing dies that cover virtually any subject you can imagine!
I began this card with an adorable digi image from Mo Manning. After coloring her, I added the following dies to finish: Memory Box Stitched Scalloped Circles, Poppy Stamps Greenhouse Watering Cans, Memory Box Groundkeeper Tools & Taylored Expressions Picket Fence.
If you haven't gone to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog, be sure to head there & join in on the current challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store! New challenges begin on the first & the fifteenth of each month!
Until next week, have a fantastic week!

Enjoy your Birthday!
Hi, gals!
Time again for my turn at posting a little bit of inspiration. I'm keeping it very simple today! I have used only 2 of my favorite dies on this card: Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers (a must have die!) and Wild Rose Studio Olivette Corner (one of my favorite corners!). Since the digi image I chose was a simple one from A Day For Daisies, I didn't want to get too fussy with the card and let the image speak for itself. By adding just the right dies, you can turn any image into something fantastic with little effort on your part!
If you are new to using dies in your crafts, don't feel overwhelmed with the choices out there! Begin by adding some basic shapes to your collection and then add all the "bells & whistles" as you go along. Sometimes all it takes is just a photo of a card to make you realize you want a particular die! I can't tell you how many I have ended up adding to my own collection after seeing my team mate's cards!
Be sure you head over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog too! A new challenge just began the first of the month and you could win a gift card to the fabulous store!
Until next week, create something that makes you happy!
