It's Wednesday again, and time for my weekly post. If you are like me, you love flowers & with the weather getting warmer each day, I am already thinking ahead to the days we will see flowers replacing the snow drifts! So to start the spring celebration, I decided a couple of birthday cards featuring the Tattered Lace Flower Cart was just what the doctor ordered! I actually made three cards with this same die. For these first 2 cards, I mounted the beautiful flower cart on a Spellbinders Floral Oval. A Spellbinder Ribbon Tag for both and some flowers from the Sue Wilson Petite Peony Cluster for the floral card & I was done! The Floral Oval is currently out of stock but you could easily use any of the dozens & dozens of beautiful oval dies you can find in the store!
Here is my favorite of the first two cards. I really liked the clean lines of the black & white!
This was another version I created with some cute floral background paper. This version is a bit more "girly" than the first and perfect for lots of my friends who are real flower lovers.
This is the third card I made. Since I have been collecting dies, I have pretty much ignored the baskets & baskets of Martha Stewart punches I have collected over the years. I pulled out one of the around the corner sets to make this pretty background for my last card. I had forgotten how time-consuming it was to do these punches! ha ha I am so used to laying down a die & sliding it through my machine that I forgot you have to line these up & punch & punch & punch! Boy, have things gotten easier with dies!
See you again next week with something fun! Until then, have a fabulous week!

Wow! These are all gorgeous and, boy, do I especially love the center one with the pretty paper and the SW Peony Cluster. I hardly use my border punches anymore. Decisions will have to be made when I get busy on my stamp room redo project. That sure is a pretty punch you used, though!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Sherri, think my favourite is the Black & White one, looks so fresh looking.
ReplyDeleteNever use my punch`s either.
