Hello, friends!
Another weekend is almost here & it's time for QKR Stampede's weekly challenge. The theme this week is "One for the Kids" and it was hard to pick just one digi. I ended up with digi # 24142 Delirious Puppy. Since most kids like puppies, I decided it would be a good choice. Hope I was right!
Head on over to QKR Stampede to enter this week's challenge. If you are the winner, you will get your choice of some amazing digi stamps!
Good luck!

Tool Man's Birthday!
Surprise!
A Thursday post! I've been busy working on some cards for a craft show coming up soon & have extras to share now. I love this Art Impressions tool guy & he makes a perfect "guy" birthday card!
I got some great tool dies a couple years ago on vacation in Kansas City. They were Ellentina dies & although I had never seen the brand before, the tools were the perfect size for cards so I took a chance & bought them. I'm glad I did!
Catch you back here tomorrow for QKR Stampede's weekly challenge!

My "Red" Thumb!
Happy Wednesday!
Are you one of those lucky people who has a green thumb? Well, meet two adorable little hedgehogs that appear to have a "red" thumb! This is one of my favorite Penny Black images and perfect for a Valentine card. When combined with some of my favorite dies, I will let you judge for yourself! I used Cheery Lynn Two of Hearts, Memory Box Heart Chain Border (currently out of stock, but you could use Cheery Lynn Heart Chain Border) and Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders (also out of stock but you could substitute Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame).
Don't forget to check out all the fantastic valentine themed dies at the store! It will make your head spin when you see the great collection!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Share the love!
Hi, everyone!
Surprise! It isn't Wednesday or Friday and I have a post today! Well, that's because I have been working on some cards and have a few extras I can share. Today I have a Valentine! I debating on sharing this one because it is a little outside the "norm" for a Valentine. Most valentines are strictly hearts (or flowers) but I got the wild idea to use a new butterfly die and see what happened. I used the Memory Box Drifting Butterfly Frame, Memory Box Stitched Heart Layers, and Memory Box Heart Chain Border for this card. All can be found at Dies R Us....my FAVORITE shopping destination!
What do you think? Too bizarre for a Valentine or okay?

QKR Stampede Challenge # 175 - I'm Feeling Blue
Happy Friday!
Although the QKR Stampede challenge for today is "I'm Feeling Blue" (use lots of blue), I'll be willing to bet that most of you are feeling anything BUT blue! It's Friday!! Time for a nice relaxing weekend! I hope you all have a chance to join in the challenge for a chance to win some awesome digi stamps! I decided on digi # 15305 Expired Parking Meter for my card.
I thought this cute little elephant "cop" would be the perfect start to using lots of blue. And who hasn't had that "blue" feeling when they have come back to their car to see a parking ticket! ha ha
Head on over to the QKR Stampede Challenge Blog & join in on the fun!

Birthday Friends!
Hello, friends!
It's Wednesday again & my turn to share a bit of inspiration. Are you like me & already tired of winter? How about pretending that spring is REALLY close today? And what says spring better than puppies & spring flowers! The image I chose for today is from Bugaboo and I thought he would be perfect for a birthday card. I pulled out one of my favorite dies, Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval Stackables and added a new die I am now in total LOVE with, Sue Wilson Designs Petite Peony Cluster. I have a hundred ideas running around my head for this Peony Cluster die, from wedding cards to baby cards, so you may see it again one of these days!
If you haven't checked out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog, please do! There is still time to join in on the challenge that began on the 15th and you could find yourself with a gift certificate to the amazing store if you are the winner!
Be sure you are on our list to receive the newsletters too! Otherwise, you may not get all the notifications of the fantastic sales & special offers!
See you next week! Happy Crafting!

Dies R Us Challenge - Use Stitching....Real or Faux
Hi, everyone!
Can you believe the month is already half over? Closer to spring!!! YEAAAAA!!! Since the 15th falls on a Friday, I will have 2 posts today....this one and an additional post for QKR Stampede. Be sure you check both of them out!
The new challenge at Dies R Us just began today & it is to use stitching, either real or faux. I decided to go with a cute Bugaboo digi and add some stitching from my die and also from my pen.

I cut this digi out with Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers and added a border of paw prints from Frantic Stamper Reverse Paw Print Border. A quick & easy card suitable for anyone, but especially a guy because of the colors I used.
Head on over to the challenge & join in on the fun. You could be the lucky winner of a gift voucher!
And don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog as well! Monday through Friday you will find great ideas from our team of designers to get your creative juices flowing!

Welcome, Little One!
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
In the middle of this winter season, it is nice to think of something but snow & cold. And I can't think of anything more wonderful than welcoming a new baby to the world! One of our Dies R Us "family" just welcomed a new baby a few weeks ago & this was the card I sent. Since they didn't know ahead of time whether it was going to be a boy or a girl, I kept to generic colors suitable for either. Here is the card I sent.
I used the following dies on this sweet card: Memory Box Stitched Scalloped Circles (currently out of stock), Sue Wilson Italian Collection-Umbria and Marianne Designs Baby Buggy. Although we don't carry Marianne Designs dies as part of our regular stock at this time, we do offer them when we have our special European Die sales, so be sure you are signed up to receive our news letters! You don't want to miss any of our fantastic sales & special events!!
If you love the lacy look of this card and want to know how to duplicate it, it is very simple. I began by cutting a 5 1/2 inch card. Lay your Umbria die (or die of your choice) on top of the folded card, leaving the die hanging off the fold just enough to be sure parts of your die will still leave the fold intact. Once you cut your folded card, cut another Umbria die (or die of your choice) and glue that to the front of your folded card. This will cover the top edge & provide you with a beautiful card front.
Be sure to check out the fantastic store! I can't think of anywhere I enjoy shopping more than there! There is so much being added that you can't keep up with all the goodies!
Don't forget our Dies R Us blogs as well!
See you next week, everyone! Create something wonderful this week! It's the best way to brighten your day!

No Winter Lasts Forever!
Hello, everyone!
Is it just me or are you tired of winter already too? We got snow in November here in Iowa and yes, I know it is only January, but I want to see green grass, leaves on the trees & flowers peeking their heads up! And days full of sunshine!!!! So when a dear sweet friend gave me this awesome sentiment stamp from Elizabeth Craft Designs, I knew immediately that it would go on my next card! I chose a Mo Manning digi as my focal point and 4 great dies: Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval Stackables, Impression Obsession Cardinals, Poppy Stamps Holiday Winterberries & Impression Obsession Squirrels. We are currently out of the squirrel die, but you could easily substitute the Dies R Us Squirrels which are just as cute!
We just began a new challenge on our Dies R Us Challenge Blog on the first of the month! Hurry over to get in on all the fun & possibly win a gift voucher to the amazing store!
If you haven't signed up for the Dies R Us newsletter yet, you won't get notified of all the incredible sales & special events, so be sure you do that as well!
See you next week, everyone! Have a fantastic week!

QKR Stampede Challenge #172 - Feathers & Fur
Happy New Year!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful & safe New Year! As usual, mine was pretty quiet. A good book on my Kindle, some munchies and a cuddly cat snuggled up against me & I'm a happy camper! Pretty boring, but as you get older, boring isn't really that bad! Lol
The QKR Stampede challenge this week is "Feathers & Fur"....an unlikely combination which had me scratching my head for a few minutes. This is what I came up with using digi # 402-Geese and #24154 Cozy Kitty.
