QKR Stampede #178 - Yummy Yummy - Include a Food

The QKR Stampede challenge for the week is all about one of my favorite things in life....FOOD!  ha ha The theme this week is "Yummy, Yummy- Include a Food" which gives you a wide range of choices.  For my card, I chose Digi # 8402 Big Apple.

I'm on a real roll!  Busy working on cards & trying to get extras done as well.  This digi is from Power Poppy & colors up beautifully!

I went over the whole flower with Wink of Stella for that extra sparkle!  I can't wait for the weather to warm up enough to see the REAL thing!

A Heart Full of Love!

Hello, again!

Can you believe Valentine's Day is only 4 short days away?  Time to get out your best dies & papers & come up with a beautiful card for all those sweethearts on YOUR list!  For my card today, I pulled out some of my favorite dies and came up with this card for someone on my list! The dies I used were Spellbinders Ribbon Banner Labels, Memory Box Ferrand Heart, Cheery Lynn Victorian Garden Doily Frame and Memory Box Heart Chain Border (which is currently out of stock).  You could easily substitute the Cheery Lynn Heart Chain Border too.

I just had to include a closeup of the Ferrand Heart die so you could see the beautiful embossing!

If you have already finished all of your Valentines, you may want to start working on your Easter cards! If you haven't checked out the awesome Easter & spring dies that the Dies R Us Store carries, you need to head there right now!  The selection is unbelievable!!  And getting larger every day!

Happy Tuesday!

I'm back again with some thank you note ideas.  We all need thank you notes from time to time & I knew I would be needing some so I sat down with a new die & "played" the other afternoon.    I used Sue Wilson Petite Peony Cluster for the flower spray and Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval Stackables for the sentiment.  I absolutely adore that flower spray!  It is just perfect for so many different cards and occasions!

I left the flowers off this one & used a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom instead.

Of "Corset's" Your Birthday!

Surprise!

A Monday post!  I've been working on some cards for a craft show this spring so I decided to share some of them as I finish them.  Today should be called "chicken" day....I have a lot of chicken stamps & pulled out a couple of them yesterday.  The stamps were both Art Impressions and some of my favorites.

I love the sentiment with these two!  It always makes me smile!

This guy cracks me up too!  Sometimes you just like to get silly, especially on your birthday!  It helps take the sting out of the birthday "number" as you get older!  I'm hoping it helps ME to smile today!  ha ha

Snapdragons!

Hi, gals!

I got this sentiment stamp a long time ago and forgot all about it until the other day.  I bought it the minute I saw it because it summed up how I feel some days!  I'm sure there are days you feel the same way too.
Both the sentiment & the frazzled are Crackerbox Palace stamps.  I also bought a great coffee sentiment to go with her too.

My photography leaves a bit to be desired today & doesn't show the stickles or the Wink of Stella, but you get the idea.

Hope you got a chuckle today!  We could all use more of those!

QKR Challenge #177 - Valentine Cards

Happy Friday!

Are you ready for a great, relaxing weekend?  I am!!  Bet you are too!  But before we get too relaxed, I need to tell you what this week's QKR Stampede challenge is.  The challenge for this week is "Valentine Cards" and since I'm sure most of you are furiously working on yours, why not hop on over to the challenge & play along?  You could win some awesome digi stamps if you are the winner. The digi I used was #10304 Choccolate Kisses.  What could be better than chocolate kisses?  Nothing!!

Seeing this cute little guy holding a heart shaped box of chocolates brought back a lot of memories for me, which is the main reason I chose him.  When my daughter was small, her grandfather always got her a heart shaped box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. It was always the high point of the holiday for her. Since she didn't like any of the chocolates with jelly inside, she would always push in the bottom of each chocolate before she chose it.  If I turned one over & the bottom was pushed in & it was still in the box I knew it was jelly filled!  ha ha  (Unfortunately, I don't like jelly filled either!)  Isn't it funny the things you remember?

Happiness Is......

Hi, gals!

Are you a coffee addict like me?  I can't make it through the day without my coffee! Especially since my daughter got me a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas!  Whoever invented K cups was a genius!  So when I saw this stamp at Hobby Lobby one day on sale for 50% off, I knew it would go with my coffee cup die and grabbed it immediately.

Have a great day!  I'm off in search of some Hazelnut coffee (my favorite!) to perk me up!  ha ha
