Hello, again!
Busy getting your taxes mailed off or have you already done that? ha ha Hopefully, you have already filed and gotten a refund!
The QKR Stampede challenge theme for this week is a fun one! Snail mail (or anything postal related). QKR Stampede has lots of fun digi stamps that would fit this category perfectly! I chose Digi # 3501 Snail Mail for my card.
Sometimes it is fun to make just a silly card to send someone. What better way to bring a smile to someone who may be having a bad day.
Head on over to QKR Stampede's Blog to join in on the challenge!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Some "Tweet" Thank You Cards
Happy Saturday!
Hope your weekend is going fantastically and you are enjoying your down time. I thought I would do a surprise post today with a couple of thank you notes I made yesterday. I wanted to use a couple of new dies I had gotten thanks to a card my friend Leslie posted a while back. I loved it so much, I had to have the dies she used. The Elizabeth Craft Birds die she used was out of stock, however, so I grabbed a Dies R Us Chirping Birds die instead. The other one finally came in & I ordered it too. Once I started making my cards, though, I actually liked the substitute die better! In fact, if you remember it, I am posting a really cute birthday card I came up with on the Dies R Us challenge blog on May 15th. This first card is made with the Elizabeth Craft Birds die & Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig.
The next card is made with the Dies R Us Chirping Bird die, Memory Box Stitched Clouds & the Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig. Which bird do you like best?
This bird actually has legs, which I cut off to sit him on the sprig.
Back to the drawing board! Have a lot more ideas that need to be made into cards!
Enjoy your weekend!

Back as Promised!
Hi, gals!
As promised, I'm back with another fun birthday card using another Sue Wilson die. This time it is the Mini Gemini Collection-Dorado & I am just as in love with it as I was with the one I shared yesterday. I ADORE lacy, feminine cards & these borders are perfect for creating a gorgeous edge on anything you do. I also grabbed the Sue Wilson string flowers for this one & some of my favorite paper....gingham.
A cute button brad in the middle of the flower & I was done. Another quick birthday card! Don't think I have given up on coloring! I haven't at all...but sometimes it is just fun to grab a handful of dies & see what you can come up with!
Back to the drawing board! Still have a pile of dies I want to play with! So don't be surprised if I pop in again before Friday! Do something creative this week! You will feel 100% better if you do!

Surprise!!
Happy Monday!
Yes, I don't usually post on any days except Wednesday & Friday, but now that I am not doing the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog on Wednesdays, I have a lot more time to create cards just for ME! Here is one I created with a new die I have been drooling over for ages....Sue Wilson's Gemini Collection-Vela. LOVE her border dies. They all come with 3 dies so you can cut the border out of the bottom of your paper or you can cut the die as a complete & separate piece. I added a Cheery Lynn butterfly and a pretty oval & presto, it was done! Pretty enough to send to anyone, but nothing that takes you half a day to create!
I'll be back again tomorrow with another birthday card I created from another new die. (The die fairy was very good to me this week!) ha ha
Have a wonderful week!

QKR Stampede Challenge #185 - Foolish Thoughts-Something Funny
Happy Friday & Happy April Fool's Day!
Can you believe today is April 1st already....and also my cat's birthday, by the way. ha ha A fitting day for him to be born! Anyone who knows me well, knows the story but I will share it again for those who don't. I found him on a farm after following the ad they had placed in the paper. I can't tell the sex of a cat by looking at it & there were 2 of the cats that looked exactly alike, (both tuxedo cats) so I picked out the one I thought had the best disposition and asked the owner what sex it was. She didn't know, but another gal who was there looking for a cat that day lifted up the tail & announced it was a female. Since I was still grieving my last cat who had been a male, I decided having a female would be a complete change & happily took "her" home. I named "her" Emily. That following Monday, I took her in to the vet to be checked out. Everyone there was so happy for me & my new fur baby because they knew how devastated I had been to lose my Persian after 16 years. We had all cried the day he died. The gal behind the counter held her arms out for me to hand her over when I took "her" out of the carrier. She immediately started in on how beautiful she was and asked me what I had named her. I said I had named her Emily! She cuddled "her" for a minute, then lifted up the tail, turned to me and said "Oh, honey, you don't have an Emily.....you have an Emilio!" Hence, the reason Brady's April 1st birthday is perfect for him.
On to the real reason for my post today! ha ha The QKR Stampede theme for this week's challenge is to post a card with something funny. I thought Digi# 13310 Sneaking Away & #13410 Bear it All were perfect for this challenge! Who doesn't need a good laugh when they are forced to wear these ridiculous hospital gowns!
Head on over to QKR Stampede's Blog for a chance to win some great digi stamps!
Enjoy your weekend!

Kick up your heels & dance!
Happy Wednesday!!
The month is almost over and spring is just around the corner! If that doesn't make you want to kick up your heels & dance, then maybe this darling dog from Sassy Cheryl's digi stamps will do it! Just like I knew the minute I saw the digi that it was going into my cart, it was the same thing with the Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Melody die! Into my cart the minute I saw it! I'm afraid I got a little carried away....ha ha I've already done 4 different birthday cards with this puppy and this die & am still going strong! I will show you what I mean & list the additional dies I used on each card. I used the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Square Stackables die on these first 2 cards (in addition to the Happy Birthday Melody).
For this happy little critter, I chose the Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders die to cut it out.
And last, but not least, I used the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Oval Stackables for this one.
By changing the die you cut your image out with, you can change the whole look of a card. The same is true for the paper you choose for your background! Use your imagination & see what you can come up with!
Don't forget a new challenge begins on the first of the month. Leave yourself a reminder to head over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog to post YOUR creation and you could be the gift voucher winner at the Dies R Us Store!
This is where I usually wish you all a great week & say I will be back next week. But next week, there will be a brand new Inspiration Team to inspire you all. I have loved my time here & will miss it, but I will still be around & you can still visit me at my blog anytime. I'll still be creating cards & using all the beautiful dies we all love so stop on over to see what I am up to!
Remember to always leave some time in your week to do something creative! It feeds your soul!

Hi, again!
Are you busy making your Easter cards & getting ready for Easter? Hard to believe it is only a little better than a week away! So today's QKR Stampede challenge will be perfect for you as the theme this week is Easter Cards! It's a perfect chance to share one of your beautiful cards for a chance to win some awesome digi stamps and have a lot of fun while you are doing it!
I chose Digi # 24132 Easter Artist for my card. Couldn't resist that goofy rabbit! He looks like he is saying "Well, here is the egg I colored....do you like it?" I know how he feels! ha ha I feel that way with every card I finish.....
I may not get another post in before Easter, so if I don't, let me wish everyone a beautiful Easter! And while we are all decorating eggs & enjoying chocolate rabbits, don't forget the reason for the real joy of the celebration!
Happy Easter!

Flowers for your birthday!
Hello, friends!
It's Wednesday again, and time for my weekly post. If you are like me, you love flowers & with the weather getting warmer each day, I am already thinking ahead to the days we will see flowers replacing the snow drifts! So to start the spring celebration, I decided a couple of birthday cards featuring the Tattered Lace Flower Cart was just what the doctor ordered! I actually made three cards with this same die. For these first 2 cards, I mounted the beautiful flower cart on a Spellbinders Floral Oval. A Spellbinder Ribbon Tag for both and some flowers from the Sue Wilson Petite Peony Cluster for the floral card & I was done! The Floral Oval is currently out of stock but you could easily use any of the dozens & dozens of beautiful oval dies you can find in the store!
Here is my favorite of the first two cards. I really liked the clean lines of the black & white!
This was another version I created with some cute floral background paper. This version is a bit more "girly" than the first and perfect for lots of my friends who are real flower lovers.
Be sure you check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. There is still time to enter the current challenge & win a gift voucher to the store!
See you again next week with something fun! Until then, have a fabulous week!

This is the third card I made. Since I have been collecting dies, I have pretty much ignored the baskets & baskets of Martha Stewart punches I have collected over the years. I pulled out one of the around the corner sets to make this pretty background for my last card. I had forgotten how time-consuming it was to do these punches! ha ha I am so used to laying down a die & sliding it through my machine that I forgot you have to line these up & punch & punch & punch! Boy, have things gotten easier with dies!
See you again next week with something fun! Until then, have a fabulous week!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 183 - Add a Sentiment
Hello, everyone!
Yes, it's time again for another challenge! Today's challenge theme at QKR Stampede is "Add a Sentiment" and with all the great images & sentiments at the QKR store, I soon found just what I wanted! I chose digi # 16814 Fishing Boy & # 12401 Fishing Is.....for my card.
I thought this would be a great birthday card for the fishermen out there! Although I hope they are a little more adept at the sport than this guy seems to be! lol
Head on over to the QKR Stampede Blog & post an entry of your own for a chance to win some fabulous digi stamps! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Enjoy your weekend!
