Hope your weekend is going fantastically and you are enjoying your down time. I thought I would do a surprise post today with a couple of thank you notes I made yesterday. I wanted to use a couple of new dies I had gotten thanks to a card my friend Leslie posted a while back. I loved it so much, I had to have the dies she used. The Elizabeth Craft Birds die she used was out of stock, however, so I grabbed a Dies R Us Chirping Birds die instead. The other one finally came in & I ordered it too. Once I started making my cards, though, I actually liked the substitute die better! In fact, if you remember it, I am posting a really cute birthday card I came up with on the Dies R Us challenge blog on May 15th. This first card is made with the Elizabeth Craft Birds die & Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig.
The next card is made with the Dies R Us Chirping Bird die, Memory Box Stitched Clouds & the Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig. Which bird do you like best?
This bird actually has legs, which I cut off to sit him on the sprig.
Back to the drawing board! Have a lot more ideas that need to be made into cards!

Dang, Sherri, I love the Chirping Bird, but I love the other one, too. I suppose it depends on the look you're going for. Both are cute. Of course, I'll have to get those Chirping Birds now, too. Sheesh! Two adorable cards. Love how you added the clouds to the second one. Gee, and I just got some cute cloud dies, too...
ReplyDeleteAlthough Leslie makes gorgeous cards, I don't think you need an excuse to to buy a die or make a cute card. And these are really cute. And who doesn't need a stitched cloud or two?
