May I be the first to wish everyone a Happy New Year! It's hard to believe another year has come & gone & Christmas is over. It goes faster every year. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday filled with lots of fun and family. And of course, that Santa found your chimney! He certainly found mine! With all the family here, I haven't had time to work on any new cards or even to post for awhile. Hopefully, now that things are less hectic, that will change.
Today I have a card I made with a new set of stamps from my sister. I'm using it for her thank you card.
These little mice are from an old Stampin Up set she found for me & I think they are perfect for sisters don't you? The background paper is from Recollections & the doily mat & fence were from Christmas dies.
Have a safe & wonderful New Year! I'll be back soon with something new made from all my Xmas goodies!
Catch you later!

Back to Basics
Well, it's back to basics for me today! I finished up the last of my Christmas cards & mailed them this morning. Thank Heavens! I didn't think I would ever get done this year. Now I can get back to basics & concentrate on building up a stash of cards for the rest of the year. On that note, I have a birthday card to share tonite that I made for one of the guys at work last week. He has a "challenged" cat named Bob. Bob, it appears, has some issues with his motor skills & is not great with jumping forward but can do quite well jumping straight up! I decided a cat theme would be perfect for his birthday card & I think he really liked it.
The paper is from Recollections, and the stamps were from an old Stampin Up set. I stamped the cat on the paper so I could paper piece the rug to match. It's colored in Prismacolor brush markers & the die was from Spellbinders.
I hope you all have a good week! And remember to count your blessings!!

A Day for Prayers..
I had a card to post tonite, but I think instead, I will just ask all of you to say an extra prayer for all those affected by the school shooting today. For some families, there will never be the chance to see their children grow up. For those lucky enough to survive, I'm sure it will be a difficult journey back to any sense of security. And for all of us, it will be a reminder to hold our loved ones a little closer & tell them again how much we love them.

Snowman frenzy!
Hi, everyone!
I suppose you are all done with your Christmas cards & have already baked a dozen different cookies! I'm behind yet! Hence, the snowman frenzy! These little guys don't take a lot of time to color so I'm hoping they can get me out of my dilemma. I made 4 of them last nite, and realized I actually like these little guys better than many of the cards I spent hours & hours on! Go figure!
Aren't they cute? This stamp was one I bought from Plum Purdy several years ago. She does mostly tole painting patterns, but did have a few stamps as well. All of the stamps I bought from her are still among my favorites & get used every year. The embossed background is from a new Stampin Up embossing folder. The wreath behind the little guy is from Impression Obsession & I colored them with Prismacolor brush markers. Hope you like them.

Brrrrr!.....
I think I can say that winter is officially here! The wind chill this morning was 17 below when I left for work. We missed out on the snow, thankfully, but I could have done without the wind as well! ha ha I am just never happy, am I?
I was going to post again yesterday, but my internet was down. The cable company had to make a trip out when I got home tonite & fix the cables, but I seem to be up & running now so I have my fingers crossed they found the problem.
I do have a card to share, but I want to start with something 1,000 times cuter! I just had to take these shots of Brady last nite. I stamp upstairs in my dormer & one end of it is still set up as a bedroom. Brady usually naps on the foot of the bed where I have a soft fuzzy green throw for him. Last nite, however, he decided to cuddle up with the stuffed cats propped against the pillows. He's big on cuddling so maybe he didn't want to miss an opportunity!
On to the card. I have another birthday card, but think I'll post one of the Xmas cards instead. This one is another Sassy Cheryl's digi. Hard to resist a bear talented enough to play a horn!

I love the paper. It just seemed the perfect choice for him. It was from a 6 X 6 Recollections pad. I added a Spellbinder die behind him for just a touch of color to pop him out & the twine seemed the perfect choice for a bow. Hope you enjoy it. Catch you all later! Stay WARM!!

A Winter Birthday!
Hi, everyone!
I hope you had a great Saturday! Our rain/snow forecast for this afternoon still hasn't materialized yet. Now they are saying it will come tonite. They have to actually guess right one of these days, so I did move the snow blower from the back of the garage to the front, just in case. I'm hoping it all comes in the form of snow. I don't want any ice UNDER snow! And there is a wind warning for tomorrow all day. I think winter has arrived!
Today I have a "winter" birthday card to share. The birthday gal's birthday is actually Dec 26th so that makes it hard. This year I thought I would go with a skating theme. The digi is from Sassy Cheryl's. I framed it with a glitter paper frame cut out with a Spellbinder die. The paper is from Recollections & the glitter snow flakes are from a Martha Stewart punch. The background was also created with Martha Stewart punches.

Let it Snow!
Yes, let it snow! But farther up north than here! We had our first snowfall today & I am already sick of it. It is really pretty right now, but I can live without that too. ha ha Bah, humbug! I just hate what it brings. Icy streets, sidewalks, snow boots, cold weather, shoveling, cold weather, shoveling.......
On to tonite's card. This little snowman is definitely happy to see it snow! He is another Sassy Cheryl's digi. The paper is from Recollections & the dies from Spellbinders & Marianne Designs. I added some dimensional paint & glitter to the fur on his suit.

Check out the blue shoes!
Hi, all!
Well, we've almost made it through another week. Our mild weather has turned a bit colder & we even had a brief rain shower go through this morning. Very little rain, but welcome all the same.
I have a simple little snowman card to share tonite. Check out his wild blue shoes! He is a digi from Sassy Cheryl's that I've used several times already. Love her snowmen! I colored him with Prismacolor brush markers & mounted him using Spellbinder dies. The flower is from my stash.
The paper is from Recollections. I'm beginning to love their paper selection. Ok, you can stop laughing! I know I love ALL paper! But then, I'm sure I am not the only paper hoarder out there, am I?
Better get busy. I have some images colored up that need to find a home & if I get time, I really need to start wrapping Xmas presents.

More windows
Hi, all!
Yes, I'm back with another variation on the window & wreath I posted the other day. I have a couple of new things, but don't laugh, I'm too lazy to set up the light box & camera & take a shot of them. Hopefully, tomorrow.

I couldn't get a shot of this that actually shows that I made the window "see thru" so that you could see the sentiment inside. I added a matching window to the inside as well to give it a more finished look.
Better get busy. A snowman is waiting for me to give him a home on his very own card!

What a difference a day makes!
Happy Monday, everyone!
I hope your week started off on a good note! As my post title says, I can't believe what a difference a day makes. Yesterday I had a touch of the flu & felt so lousy I spent the day wrapped in a blanket. Today I am back among the living again! Thankfully!!
I have a Xmas card I made Saturday to share tonite. I'm only half done with my cards, so you will undoubtedly be seeing many more offerings! lol
This is another Sassy Cheryl's digi & I decided to do it in non-traditional Xmas colors for something different.
The snowman was cut with a Spellbinder die & I used Martha Stewart punches for the pink mat & the background layer. Got to love Martha! He was colored with Prismacolor brush markers.
Next year I'm going to work on Xmas cards all year long so I'm not in a crunch at the last minute!

Thru my window
Hi, everyone!
I hope you have all been having a great week. Our weather has been just amazing for this late in November & the forecast for the next week is awesome too. Hope we get lots more of these warm days!
Today I have another Xmas card to share. I got the inspiration for this card from Pam Sparks, whose beautiful wreath card got me thinking about the dies I had stashed away too! I've got several ideas for this same wreath so you may see a couple of them in the future. Be forewarned! lol
I used a Memory Box die for the window & wreath & a Marianne die for the holly. The bow is a Spellbinder die & I used one of my Xmas embossing folders for the sides. The holly die Pam used was a bit finer, so I stayed with just a touch of holly on mine. I want the one she used now, of course!
I want to enter this in the Crazy 4 Challenges blog "Put a Bow On It".
Better get back to my other ideas & see what else I can come up with. Catch you all later!

Santa & his pal
Hi, all!
Tonite I have another Christmas card to share. I guess it is the season, right? This one is a Sassy Cheryl's digi that caught my eye a while back. I colored it with Prismacolor brush markers & used several Spellbinder dies to finish. The holly is from Marianne Designs & the buttons from my stash.
I don't think I will ever get caught up on my cards. This has been a busy fall. And speaking of busy, that's what I should be right now!

Here birdie!
Happy Monday, everyone!
The weather has taken a turn for the colder. It's 17 degrees outside right now. Brrrr!! I'm missing summer already & winter hasn't even officially started yet. Go figure!
I have another Xmas card tonite. This one is from a cute digi from Dearie Dolls. There are some adorable free images there & this was one of them.

Isn't she the cutest? I colored her with Prismacolor brush markers & cut her out with a Spellbinder die. I mounted her on some cute Recollections paper from one of their 6 x 6 pads. The snowflakes were cut with a Martha Stewart punch & the glitter Xmas tree was a foam tree from my stash. I hope you like her.
I'll be back tomorrow with another Xmas card. Right now I feel some Pistachio ice cream calling my name & I will have just enough time to get it ready before Castle comes on.
Have a great day tomorrow! Catch you all later.

Happy Black Friday!
Well, gals, 'fess up! How many of you were in line last night or this morning to take advantage of all the Black Friday sales? I only made one stop and that was Michaels, of course. About 95% of all my shopping will be on line this year. It's much easier than fighting the crowds!
As promised yesterday, I have another Xmas card to share today. This one is a digi from Wee Stamps. Isn't she adorable? I was going to do her all in pastels, but somewhere along the way, I got sidetracked & that gorgeous brick red I love managed to work it's way onto the card instead.

I am so far behind on my cards this year. Normally, I have tons of them done already, but it has been a hectic year. I'm going to have to kick it in gear!

Happy Thanksgiving
Hi friends,
I have nothing to share with you tonite. I do have a new Xmas card, but don't have the energy to get my camera out & shoot it. I'll post it tomorrow.
Thanksgiving is the time to reflect on all the blessings we have & I have many. I have a family I adore and am so proud of and friends I consider extended family. When you look at what is going on in the Middle East, you have to be thankful that you live in a land free of bombing & killing. Sometimes it is easy to focus on all the problems you may have & forget just how blessed you are.
I also wanted to take this time to thank all of my blog land friends for their kind words & many visits to my blog. I am gateful for so many things in my life, & I have to add that I have also been blessed with meeting many new people because of this blog & they are people I consider dear friends now.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Sherri

Merry Winter
Hi,
I hope you all had a great day. This was my first day back to work since yesterday's eye surgery & what a difference the surgery made! It was wonderful!
Tonite I have another Xmas card to share. Since I got a late start on everything, I've been trying to concentrate on Xmas cards to play catch up.

This was a really simple card to make. The image is from Sassy Cheryl again. She had so many I couldn't choose, so ended up with a lot of them one day! I mounted him on a snowflake background I made using a Martha Stewart punch around the page set. The paper is from Recollections & the bow is from my stash. I hope you enjoy it.

Hurray!!
Hurray! My second eye surgery is over! So far, everything seems to be going along well & although it feels like your eye is full of gravel, I know it will be better tomorrow. I'm not going to be working on anything tonite. Between hourly eye drops & exhaustion, I don't have the energy. I'm sharing a card I made this weekend from an image I colored earlier.
This is another Sassy Cheryl digi. I cut her out & mounted her on a Spellbinder die. I added white flower soft to her ear muffs, coat & boots. The flower is from my stash & the paper is from Recollections.
Thanks for all the well wishes on my surgery!

More Christmas!
Hi, everyone!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend! We are still enjoying warmer than normal weather here in Iowa & I hope wherever you are, you are having great weather too. After the horrible storms on the East coast, I think we can all appreciate the weather more than before!
I apologize for not posting much this past week. It was a busy week & to be honest, after looking at a computer all day, my eyes were strained enough that I was just too tired to work on cards. Hopefully, that will all change tomorrow when I get my other eye done. It has been challenging to say the least to work with good vision in one eye & have to wear magnifying glasses to read all day.
I did manage to put a couple of Xmas cards together from images I had colored prior to the surgery. Here is one of them.

My First Xmas Card!
Hi everyone,
As promised, I'm back today with my first Xmas card for this year. I've been so tied up with other things lately, I haven't had a lot of extra time, but I finally got caught up enough to begin Xmas.
This image is from Sassy Cheryl's and I have always loved snowmen so I couldn't resist him.

Better get busy. Have a lot to get done before Castle comes on! I can't miss that show. If you have never watched it, you should tune in.

More of the same
Hi everyone,
Hope you have had a great weekend! I didn't have a lot of time to work on cards this weekend, but I do have some more Thanksgiving cards I made using the same cute Sassy Cheryl image I posted earlier. I promise these are the last of the cards with this image! I had colored a bunch of them & it seemed to be a good idea to use them up so bear with me.
I made this one using a Spellbinder die & some ribbon from my stash.

On these two I decided I needed a break from a plain old card so I did an oval cutout for the one on the left & made a step card for the one on the right.
I did manage to make my first Christmas card yesterday, so I will share that with you tomorrow.
As cold as it has gotten here today, it really FEELS like it should be Christmas! We had a drop of about 40 degrees overnight.

Did you remember?
Did you remember to set the clocks back last night? And like me, did you think you were going to get an extra hour of sleep, but you woke up early anyway? Murphy's law! I hate daylight savings! How do you explain it to a cat who still wants to get up at the same time he is used to?
Today I have three cards, all done with a cute image from Sassy Cheryl's. I've decided to use this image for most of my Thanksgiving cards. It's amazing how different they can look just by changing the background paper.
Today I have three cards, all done with a cute image from Sassy Cheryl's. I've decided to use this image for most of my Thanksgiving cards. It's amazing how different they can look just by changing the background paper.
Here is the first one, done in browns. The background papers on all of them were from a DCWV Halloween paper pack.
Here is the second version, done in greens instead of browns.
And finally, the same gal in oranges.
I should have gotten a lot more done today, but I spent most of the afternoon cleaning & re-arranging my craft area. It looks amazing now! Let's see how long it lasts. I have a habit of getting so involved with the creating process, that I forget the "cleaning " process. ha ha I have never understood why I can't stand a single thing out of place downstairs, but in my stamping area upstairs, it is a different story. I seem to equate having fun with the amount of "stuff" I have on my desk.
Remember your prayers for all those on the east coast that have been so brutally affected by Sandy. And please don't forget to go vote on Tuesday! While you are praying for those affected by Sandy, please add a prayer that the country will make the correct decision on Tuesday as well. There is a lot at stake this year.
Catch you all later.

Frank
Hi,
I almost didn't post this card, but since I promised I would be back with my first coloring attempt, I thought I had better keep my word. For those of you who wear glasses (or contacts) have you ever tried to color without them? I'm guessing it must be similar to the effect you would have if you put your contacts into the opposite eyes! I was so unhappy with this image that I didn't waste much time on the card. But for my first attempt after eye surgery, I should be glad I stayed in the lines. Well, most of the time! lol

I think our little Frankie is from Sassy Cheryl's. If not, I will correct my post later. The paper is from Recollections & I added the little ghost & cobweb corners from my stash.
Today was my first day back to work after eye surgery. Needless to say, it was a LONG day. I think I hear the couch calling my name.

The Boo Crew
Boo!
I don't think anyone would be scared by this cute pair. I had colored several of these adorable Wee Stamp images up earlier & pulled this one out last night to see what I could do with her. I used some of my favorite gingham paper from Creative Imaginations instead of the usual Halloween paper. I mounted her on a Spellbinder cutout and added some embellishments from my stash.

What a Day!
Hi,
What a day, indeed! Yesterday was a pretty stressful day. I had cataracts taken off my left eye. Yup! I thought I was too young for that, but apparently, every one of us will get them & even small children can have them as well as some newborn babies. The things you learn! Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a worrier. First class! ha ha But after going through the procedure, let me stress that it was not as awful as I expected & there was absolutely NO pain! I now have 20/20 vision in that eye. In fact, I can type this post without my glasses on, which is something that was impossible prior to the surgery. Hurray!!!
On to my post. This is a card I did prior to the surgery. I wasn't sure what my vision would be right now, so I've been collecting some to post.

This is a Penny Black stamp & I colored her with Prismacolor markers. The paper is from Recollections & the doily she is on from Spellbinders. Another pretty simple card. I've needed so many lately, and had so little time I haven't been able to do anything too complicated.
Enjoy the weekend! Catch you later!

Witch in training..
Hi everyone,
This will be a really quick post tonite. I have a ton of things to do before tomorrow. Tonite I have a cute little witch to share from Sassy Cheryl's digi's.
I colored her with Prismacolor markers & used some great paper from Recollections, combined with one of the new Memory Box dies and a Martha Stewart fence & bat punch. Hope you like her!

Happy Birthday, Melissa!
Hi, everyone!
Today's card is one I made for my daughter's birthday, which is today, by the way. We celebrated yesterday since she is so far away. And next week is my grandson's 14th birthday, so this is a big month for celebrations. Since Melissa is not a fan of "kids" as much as she loves "critters", I knew I had to do a critter card for her. So I chose a Penny Black hedgehog. I had some great paper from S.E.I. and I stamped the image again on some of it so I could paper piece her dress to match the background. The die I used was one of the new Spellbinders that I am just in love with. I like the fact you can thread your ribbons thru it.
She was colored in Prismacolor markers, of course & the ribbon is from my stash. Happy Birthday, sweetie!
I guess I had better close so I can clean my mess a bit before the debates start up. Although I don't get political on my blog, I will say that I hope everyone will pay attention to the clear choices this year & vote for whichever candidate YOU feel is best. At least that way, we can't complain if we don't like the outcome!
Have a great week. I'll be back tomorrow with something new. Catch you later!

An Award!
Hi, everyone!
We survived another week! Yeaaaa!!! Now we can all spend the weekend catching up on our housework & card making. Emphasis on the card making, of course!
Tonite I had planned to share another Halloween card, but instead I have an award to share. My friend Karal of Karal's Creative Space has presented me with the Liebster award. I adore Karal & her cards will just blow you away.
ABOUT THE AWARD
Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," "Favorite," or "Dearest." This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.
RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!
Now of course is the hardest part. Finding 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers that I love & always check out. I have to confess, I have so little time right now that I don't follow as many blogs as I would like to, but those I do follow, I do out of love of their work (and their personalities). I have only 3 tonite and they are:
Carole Ann of CG'S Cards 4 U She always has fantastic cards to inspire me.
Victoria of Furry Tale Cards & Crafts Not only has she some awesome cards, but a cat who looks like mine!
Gail of Pop, Paper, Scissors Gail is my rock. My best friend & the one who always encourages me on.
Check out all these lovely ladies. Each has a different style but that is what makes it so much fun! We can all learn from each other & inspire each other to try new things!

Hazel
Hi again,
I hope your week is going well. Our beautiful warm weather has been blown away by some fierce winds & it has been a really "bad hair" day as a result. The skies look more like they are going to deliver snow than rain. Yuk!
I have another Halloween card to share tonite. This one is a cute digi from Wee Stamps & I colored her with Prismacolor markers. The paper is from Recollections & the bats & spider web are from Martha Stewart punches.
I hope you like her. Catch you all later!

Leftovers...
Hi,
Well, tonite, as the title suggests, we are having "leftovers"...These are two of the get well cards I made for my daughter's friend. Simple & not a lot of fuss, since they are going to a guy. ha ha
I love the sentiment with this one! Both of these cards are made with Art Impressions stamps. The paper is from Recollections & I used a Spellbinder label die for the sentiment.
This one has a cute sentiment as well. And so true! Anyone who has ever been in the hospital can attest to the fact that they wake you up continually. The dies on this one were from Spellbinders too.
I hope you have had a great weekend. We missed out on the rain. AGAIN! You would think it would stop here one of these days, but it just moves around us every time we get a chance of rain in the forecast.
Catch you later! Have a wonderful week!

Boo!
Happy Saturday!
I hope you had a great Saturday. The weather here was just extraordinary! The kind of a day you would like to bottle up & uncork about January. lol
Tonite's card is a Halloween card. I found this cute Impression Obsession stamp in Kansas City. The web around it is from one of my new Memory Box dies & the spider web across the bottom is from a Martha Stewart punch. The paper is from Recollections.
Have a wonderful Sunday! I'll be back again tomorrow!

Wash Your Worries Away!
Happy Friday!
I didn't think it would ever get here & I only worked 3 days this week! lol I could really get used to staying home!
As promised I have another card to share tonite. This is a get well card I made for a friend of my daughter's. I wasn't really going to buy a lot of stamps at convention. My main focus was on dies, but this hilarious stamp & it's sentiment just had to go home with me. They are from Rubbernecker & perfect for a silly get well card to cheer someone up. Sometimes a laugh will do more for us than a pill.

The look on this poor cat's face says it all. I kept the background in "guy" colors since it is going to a guy. The paper is from Recollections & it was an easy card to make. I popped the washer up on pop dots to give it some extra dimension.
They are forecasting rain for us tomorrow & we really, really need it. This has been the driest summer I can remember. Grass shouldn't "crunch" when you walk across it!
Back next time with a Halloween card. Have a great Saturday! Catch you later.

The Mystery Girl
Hi,
Well, tonite I have a "mystery girl" to share. I'm calling her a mystery girl because I have no idea whose digi she may be. This was an image given to us at the Kansas City convention last week. She was just too adorable not to color up, so here she is!
I mounted her with a beautiful Marianne Designs die. The flowers are made with a Heartfelt Creations stamp & the background paper is from Recollections. She is going to be a "Thinking of You" card for someone.
I'll be back tomorrow with something new. Catch you later!

Flowers & Lace
Hi everyone!
Flowers & lace. Two things I love! I thought I would combine them on today's card. The lace stamp is from Heartfelt Creations & so are the flowers. I stamped them out & cut them individually so they could be shaped to stand up. The leaves are a Spellbinder die that embosses.
This was a pretty quick & simple card to make. I can already see some different versions of this in my head, so I know I'll do it again. I'll be back tomorrow with something totally different to share.
I hope your week is going well. Only two more days to go! Yeaaaa!!

Elephants!
Hi, there!
Are you ready for elephants? Although the majority of my purchases in Kansas City were dies (my biggest addiction), I did fall in love with some adorable elephants. Crafters Companion has some real cuties & I had to have 2 of them. Here is the first one I colored up.

His name is Humphrey & who could resist him? I colored him with Prismacolor markers & cut him out, then mounted him on a cut out from one of my new Spellbinder dies. I love the ribbon slots in this one! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the corners.
Here is the other stamp I bought. All baby critters are cute, but baby elephants are even cuter. I cut these out with a Lifestyle square scalloped punch & added a Spellbinder lace to the lower corner & a new Marianne Design die to the left corner. The paper was from S.E.I.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my new "critters" and I will be back tomorrow with more. I've been on a roll all afternoon in between laundry, raking & a trip to the dr. for my flu shot! Who says it is hard to multi-task? I should confess, however, that all this frenzied multi-tasking has taken a toll on my desk. Don't believe me? Take a look & laugh! Or shudder!
I'll be cleaning my desk off now........Catch you tomorrow with more goodies!

Home Again!
I'm back!
For those of you who didn't know, I took a few days off work last week & drove to Lincoln to meet up with my daughter & drive to Kansas City for the CKC convention. This is the same one that we tried to attend 3 years ago & got rear ended the first night there. After a horrible night, we had to rent a car & drive home the next morning, missing the whole thing. So, we REALLY enjoyed the trip this time! I took card classes, of course, and Melissa took scrapbooking classes. But, I have to say, the best part for me was the awesome shopping both on the way down & at the vendor's booths there. We drove to our favorite stamp & scrapbooking stores in cities along the way. Well, not really on the way...but super stores worth driving the extra miles for. Needless to say, I have so many new goodies I don't know what to play with first.
Here is a card I made with a couple of the new stamps I got. I wanted to go directly to making things I could use my new dies on, but needed to do some guy get well cards for a friend of my daughter's so I wanted to get those done first before I started playing in earnest.

Isn't this just the funniest car? I loved it on first sight. This was from Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps. The paper is from Recollections & I colored it with Prismacolor markers.
Well, I'd better get busy. Lots of cards are calling my name right now & I think I need to answer the call!

Happy Fall Y'all
Hi,
Well, I had thought I was going to post yesterday, but got busy & didn't think of it until it was bedtime & I was too tired to climb the stairs again. Boo hoo!
Tonite I am sharing my first "fall" card. It's a cutie from Sassy Cheryl's digi's and I loved it the minute I saw it. I colored her with Prismacolor markers & used a Marianne Designs die for the foliage. The pumpkins were from Hugware & the paper was from my stash.
I have a lot to get done before bed tonite, so I had better get busy! Enjoy the rest of the week!

Thankful....
Hi,
Where did the week go? One minute it was Monday & then Friday and now the weekend is almost over! It was a busy week for cards at work, which didn't leave me much time to post.
I'm sharing 2 thank you cards I made yesterday with a new stamp/die set that Gail gave me. Don't you love getting gifts when it isn't even your birthday! The stamps & die were from W Plus 9 and I love them! Be sure you visit her website to check out the adorable cards she is making!
This is the first one. I mounted it on a doily made with a Spellbinder die & mounted that on a Martha Stewart punched mat. The heart & leaf were popped up with pop dots.

I'm off to clean my craft room. A chore I started yesterday. Well, I didn't actually start it. I came upstairs with good intentions, but made the mistake of checking my email first & saw the sale at Sassy Cheryl's digi's and it all went downhill from there. You know how it is once you start "browsing" a digi sale......lol
Have a great week. I'll be back tomorrow with my first fall card.

It's Retirement Time!
No, not me!! DARN IT! One of the gals I have worked with forever is retiring this Friday. I had to make a couple of retirement cards to pass around to the office & plants this weekend. Here is what I came up with.
This first one was done with some beautiful paper from The Paper Studio, a simple stamp from Stampabilities & a flower from my stash.
The 2nd one was done with a Penny Black stamp, a Martha Stewart punch set & paper from Recollections. I'm running out of retirement stamps that I haven't already used for work. lol
Hope your Monday was a good one. I'm off to "play" with a couple of new dies that I ordered in a weak moment. Why do they have to make so many darned cute ones! It's not fair!

Back again!
Hi,
I'm sorry I didn't get much posted last week. The week started out badly & just went downhill from there. Not only did one of our fellow co-workers lose his wife, but two of them! And one of our gals from an upstairs plant lost her father. So my week ended up just making sympathy cards. I have a ton of stuff colored up, but nothing finished yet. Hopefully, I can work on some of them tonight.
Right now, I have a belated birthday card. One of our new employees had a birthday Friday & I didn't know it was his birthday until Friday afternoon. Oops! Better late than never, right?
This cute little critter is from Whipper Snapper. I colored him with Prismacolor markers & added a bit of glitter to the candle. The paper is from Creative Imaginations & the sentiment was computer generated. The matting was done with Spellbinder dies.
I will be back tomorrow with a couple of retirement cards I made this afternoon. One of gals is retiring this week.
I hope you had a wonderful & relaxing weekend & are ready for a new week! Catch you later!

Cupcake anyone?
Hi everyone!
I hope your week is going well. I meant to post again last nite, but ended up working furiously on some sympathy cards instead. One of my co-workers lost his wife suddenly over the weekend. She was only 56. I made three cards to send to the different plants & to corporate so we could all sign one. Makes you want to hug the people you love & tell them just how much you love them. I try to do that anyway. Our family has always been a bit on the "mushy" side when it comes to that. And for that, I have always been so grateful! We all know how much we love each other.
So here is the card for tonite. I got a set of cupcake stamps that came with matching die cuts when Michael's had their last half off coupon. It was a Spellbinder/Hampton Art combination set. It cuts & embosses the stamped image. Pretty slick! Here is the first card I made with it.

Polly in the Flower Pot
Hi, all!
Well, this weekend just flew by, didn't it? If only the work weeks would do the same. lol I hope yours was an enjoyable one. I got caught up on some cards & even managed to rake one tub of leaves before I decided I had had enough. Apparently, I'm more stiff & sore from the fall last week than I thought. Why is it that kids can take horrific falls, get up & never even get a bruise? ha ha Does that mean we have to slow down as we get older? Nah!! Don't have time for that!
Today's card is a digi from Sassy Cheryl's. I have to admit, I LOVE their digi's! I thought this one would be a perfect birthday card for one of the gals at work. Yes, I'm still working on cards for co-workers. I'm trying to work ahead so I can start on my Halloween cards.
I colored this little cutie with Prismacolor markers. I added a button to the flower & a mini ladybug to the front. The yellow die behind her is a Spellbinder & the sentiment is from Stampin Up. I popped it up with pop dots. A touch of glitter to the sentiment package, the bows & pigtail ties & I was done. Hope she likes it as much as I do. It made such a cheerful card! The paper was from Recollections, by the way.
Off to relax a bit before bedtime. Have a wonderful week! I'm sure I will be checking in soon with more of the cards I did this weekend. Catch you later!
