Your week is half over! It won't be long before you are enjoying your weekend, will it? I've been missing again, but not because I wasn't busy creating! I've been working ahead on some of my Blog posts for QKR. I've also found some of the most darling images there and have been making some additional cards with them. Be sure you check out the post on September 2nd to see the moose in the leg warmers! One of my favorite images ever!
Back to business...I have had my name on several "backorder" lists for a Tattered Lace Lacy Layers Squares die. I fell madly in love with it the minute I saw it, but of course, it was out of stock at every site that carried it! It finally came in on one of the England sites so I ordered it there! It is every bit as gorgeous as I imagined! Here are the first 2 cards I made with it.
There are 3 lace squares with this die, but I used just the 2 largest on the birthday card.
For this cute moose from QKR Stampede, I used just the largest one (which measures just a hair over 5 1/2 inches) & I also grabbed my holly corner from Cheery Lynn.
Back to work! I need to work on some Halloween cards! I did take a couple days off to try to organize my paper collection too. Oh, my! I am NEVER buying any more paper even if it is on sale! The joke with my friends when we go to Hobby Lobby or Michaels is that if you can't find me, head for the paper aisle. It calls me like a siren song! But, obviously, I have been drawn to that aisle WAY too many times! ha ha
Back later!

Yay, you finally got your die set and you didn't waste any time putting it to good use! It's a big one, too, and gorgeous. Perfect for any season, as you've shown here. Love the two together with your pretty vellum flowers, and my heart is stolen by the white on white with the uber-cute Christmas moose. I just received the holly corner die in my most recent order, so I'm happy to see how it looks on your card. I love the way the Tattered Lace die looks with the inner edges framing the image. Oh, gosh, how do you organize your paper collection? Mine is so out of control and I'll never use it all. I really need to stop going to the craft store.
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning cards Sherri, I also have this die and the others! Rectangle & Oval, they are all gorgeous, love that they cut the inner card, so you can do as large a card as you need.
ReplyDeleteFantastic moose image and lovely colouring..

Gorgeous cards Sherri! Love your new die, so versatile and I'm sure you will get a lot of use of it! And that moose it too cute...I don't remember seeing it!

A very beautiful die, I can see why it was on back order. Your cards are so pretty. I just love the moose. I can't wait to see the moose in leg warmers, I never noticed that stamp in the store, I will have to check it out. I hear ya, on not buying anymore paper. I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday. I bought a Christmas pad and I definitely had made up my mind to not buy anymore Christmas paper. How could I not, it had the cutest little Christmas trucks and plaid paper?
