Are you ready to start the week off full of vim & vigor, or are you wishing you could roll back over & go back to bed? If it is the latter, I hope you are retired & can do just that! ha ha
I always like to try new things & when a friend told me about the Cutting Cafe and all the cute cards you could get, I had to check it out. I don't have a machine that cuts things out like many of you do, but she assured me I could still cut them out by hand. Well, maybe it depends on what you choose for a pattern, but I obviously chose something too detailed. After struggling to cut out the base of a card that was supposed to have a trio of darling pumpkins on it, I finally gave up & just grabbed the pumpkins & made a couple of cards with them. All in all, they turned out pretty cute once I added a maple leaf corner die to the mix!
The second card I made into a Thanksgiving card. I think the "faux" stitching around everything helped them a lot.
I'll be back tomorrow with a birthday card & then I plan to spend a few days trying to de-clutter my craft area. I have gotten to that point where I just have no choice but to weed some things out! How do we collect so much STUFF! I could craft for years & not buy another thing except adhesive.
Enjoy your week!

Oh, wow, these are darling, Sherri! I don't have one of those cutting machines, either, and I can't imagine finding a place to put it or the time to sit down and fiddle with it. They do fabulous things, though! In the end, after your fiddling, you made two fabulously cute cards in those bright fall colors and pretty papers. Good luck with your stamp room. I'm gradually clearing mine out and leaving only the things I use most. Getting rid of all my dies. Hahahahahahaha! Just kidding! Hope I didn't shock you too badly. No, the dies are definitely staying!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Sherri, I love my manual die cutters, love my dies.. you`ev done a fabulous job and love the stitched detail.

These cards turned out so pretty, that I can't imagine that they would be even prettier as one trio. Love all the faux stitching.
