Dies R Us Challenge - Frame It!

Hello, everyone!

Wow! Has this month just flown by or is it just me?  And each day is bringing us closer to the start of spring and the end of winter, snow & ice! Hurray!!!!!!  You all know how much I HATE winter! It will never be my favorite season!

Well, it's the 15th of the month so that means it's time for another Dies R Us Challenge! Today's theme is a fun one: "Frame It!"  And that gave me the perfect chance to pull out some of my favorite dies that don't get used as much to play with.  I created this fun scene with the following dies: Impression Obsession Bushel of Apples, Poppy Stamps Weeping Willow Archway, Elizabeth Craft Designs Hello & Poppy Stamps Rustic Wagon.

Doesn't this make you want to grab a basket and find the nearest apple tree?  Since this wasn't an apple tree, I'm guessing they were finished with their picking and parked their wagon under the willow tree for a rest.  Hey, if I can make up a scene, I can create my own story for it!  ha ha

I have a lot of people who come to my craft shows looking for cards that are blank inside just so they can send a handwritten note to someone.  Bless their hearts! In this day of text messages and emails, handwritten notes are becoming a lost art! And I love the joke I've seen on Facebook that says "one day we will all be able to use cursive writing to send notes to each other when we are in the nursing home & nobody will know what they say!"  And that's probably true.  Cursive writing is becoming a lost art.  Everyone these days prints or types.  How sad!

Well enough rambling....grab your favorite frame dies and see what lovely card you can come up with! Who knows? You may be the winner of a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store (AKA Heaven on Earth).

The link to the challenge blog is here.  Get those creative juices flowing!

Hugs,
Sherri

  4. Yes, you can make up your own scene, your own story, do whatever you want! That's the joy of crafting. I haven't seen that wagon before and it's so cute! What an amazing collection you have. I would love to sit in that scene! Blank cards are wonderfully versatile. I make them for myself so I'll always have a card for whatever occasion. I don't mind writing my own sentiment inside. I've heard they don't even teach cursive in some schools anymore. Can that be true? What a shame!
