Rats! I forgot your birthday!

Hello, friends!

Time to use another old, old stamp that I still use a lot! It's a WhipperSnapper stamp I've had for years! And it's perfect for those times you forget a birthday!

I grabbed an old embossing folder to frame him.  I'm hoping this will help ease the horror of forgetting a birthday for someone!  We have all done it! And it's not a good feeling when you finally realize it!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Anything Goes

Happy Friday!

I can't think of any better way to spend a birthday than with a sundae as large as myself!  And I bet I could do serious damage on it before I gave up!  ha ha  I ADORE ice cream and add hot fudge & I'm in hog heaven! Or REALLY send me over the moon by adding caramel sauce! Can't remember the last time I had actual ice cream!

Here is my digi for today.  Bear with Sundae # 3001.

Doesn't he look satisfied?  And from the size of his stomach, I'd say he finished the majority of this dreamy snack! He is never going to get his fit body back if he continues to eat this much!

What kid wouldn't love a birthday card with a large frog on the front! And one with chocolate cake is even better! He has his fork all ready to take out a huge p[iece! 

I'm sorry I don't know whose stamp this is.  There isn't any name on the side of the wooden block, but I've had it for many, many years!  If anyone else knows, please let me know.

Well, it's not a camel for hump day, but how about two goofy ducks?  I love these stamps from Rosie's Road Show!  I've had them for years! They are tiny stamps, but by putting them on things you can create a cute scene. 

I thought this would be a great guy card! They don't go in for fussy things & this is about as simple as you can get!

Tomorrow we have another silly card.  I'm in a silly mood right now so be prepared!

Oops! Forgot your birthday!

Hi again!

Well, I think we have all been there!  You have great intentions of sending a card to someone for their birthday and a few days after it is over, you realize you never sent a card. Darn, I hate when that happens!  But if you have a cute card like this one, they may forgive you! The inside sentiment says "Heard you're celebrating a belated birthday this year. Bet all those other fools sent cards on time!"

Is your week off to a great start?  Mine is! I'm still working on cards for the upcoming shows so that takes a lot of my time.  And when I'm not doing that, I'm watching my beautiful fox come back & forth to my house looking for breakfast! There is never a dull moment here!

It's Your Day!

Hi, there!

Enjoying a relaxing weekend?  Me too!  Busy watching my red fox made her daily visits and working on cards for two craft shows.  Our weather here hasn't been warm enough to sit on a beach, but I'm sure it is somewhere! I found this darling image at All Dressed Up! I love their digi stamps & they have some really darling ones. 

She was a lot of fun to color up! And thankfully, I had just the perfect paper for her! I got it on sale just the day before at Joanne's Fabrics!  You know the rule....if it is on sale, you HAVE to buy it!

How many of you like to receive "funny" cards on your birthday?  Me too! So when I saw this cute frog in her itsy bitsy  teeney weeny yellow polka dot bikini  ( one of my favorite songs back in the day).....don't ask what day...I knew she was going into my cart. A Die-Namites Cattails die was all I needed to finish her.

The digi I used is Bikini Frog # 8204.  Love her!  The sentiment inside says "It's your birthday...walk on the wild side!"  And a bikini doesn't get much wilder than that!

For Cat Lovers!

Good Morning, everyone!

Today's card is one especially for all cat lovers.....which, of course, includes me!  How could you live without a cat!  Especially one as sweet & loving as my Brady!  It would be impossible! I adore dogs too, but have had a cat most of my adult life & can't imagine going to sleep without one cuddled up beside me.  This cute image is a favorite from A Day For Daisies.

Can you believe that April is almost half over already!  Where has the time flown?  But I have to say I'm really enjoying the warmer days!  Winter lasted WAY too long!!

Today's challenge at Dies R Us is "Springtime!" and I know that is something we are all happy to see!

An oldie, but goodie!

Yes, this is a stamp I bet a lot of you recognize and probably have!  It's an old Stamping Up set that I've had for many, many years and still hang on to.

This set has loads of stuff for the back of the pickup....Christmas trees, pumpkins, furniture....and it makes a great guy card without much coloring.

You have so many choices for subject matter, but I decided to go with Chubby Hen # 24230.  I knew just what I would do with her.  I pulled out my Cheery Lynn Designs Chicken Wire Frame & cut it out with my silver paper.  And for the inside I had a sentiment that says "Face it sweetie...You ain't no spring chicken, but Happy Birthday anyway!"

She doesn't look really happy for a "new mom" does she?  ha ha

Hedgehog golf!

Hi, friends!

Are you ready for a little chuckle?  This cute hedgehog should do the trick! He is a Penny Black stamp and I adore her hedgehogs!  In fact, my daughter bought me a stuffed one years ago & it has come with me to Nebraska . 

It may be hard to see him, but he sits on top of my stamp storage just to the right of my cat.

I have a lot of hedgehog stamps!  With my love for critters, they just appeal to me!  And real life ones are just adorable!

A Good Day Fishing...

Hello, again!

I bet you have all seen guys who are just addicted to fishing!  This is an old, old stamp with "Alias Smith & Rowe" stamped on the side and the name Conrad.  I've had it for years & years and still pull it out every now & then.

I added an Amy Design Fish & Bobber and a Die-Namites Cattails die to complete the scene.

I can understand this guy's reaction to another birthday! Once you hit a certain age, you have to stop counting how many there are!  At least there is chocolate cake & presents! 

This is a Mo Manning digi which I've had a long, long time.  I rarely use her digi stamps any more.  Her political views are kind of a turn off sometimes.  I'd rather include everyone.

QKR Stampede Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes

Can you believe Easter has already come & gone?  The spring is fast approaching and I can't wait! It's always my favorite time of year! I LOVE seeing the grass start to green up and the spring tulips and daffodils stick their heads up! And the trees start to explode with leaves! It's a time of new beginnings after a long, long winter.

Dies R Us Challenge - Anything Goes Using Dies Carried by Dies R Us!

Happy Easter, everyone!

Or maybe I should say Happy April Fool's Day too!  (Which also happens to be my cat's birthday!) And very appropriate too! I got him from an ad in the paper & fell in love at first sight.  I couldn't remember how to tell male from female, so I asked one of the other gals there & she declared "he" was a female!  I took him home and named him Emily! Well, luckily I had an appointment for Monday to take "her" in for a checkup at my vets!  The gal there took one look and told me "Oh, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, honey, but you don't have an Emily.....you have an Emilio!"  So Brady pulled his first April Fool's joke when he was just a little guy!

Enough of this! Time for the important things!  Today is the first of the month Dies R Us challenge & the theme this time is "Anything Goes" as long as you use only dies sold at Dies R Us!  Which should be a piece of cake because we sell dozens of companies & hundreds of wonderful dies!

Here is the card I came up with! I used the following dies:  Poppy Stamps Stitched Bloom Trio, Poppy Stamps Lorelai Leaf, Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped Rectangles, Memory Box Stitched Scalloped Circles, and Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Floral Frame.  And I love the end result!!
