View thru the window

Tonite I have something a little different.  A view thru a window.  I almost bought this die last week & talked myself out of it.  Saturday nite my friend Kathy brought it over to show me & now I HAVE to have it!  ha ha  And I was doing so well too!  I used some of the paper (Making Memories) from the "wall" to create a valance with one of Martha's punches. I used pop dots to pop it up. The flowers behind the window are another die from Memory Box.  So is the label with Happy Birthday on it.
I could see a lot of uses for this window so I'm hoping they aren't out of them yet!

Have a great week.  I'm off to finish watch Castle!  Love that man!

The wait is over!

Hi all,
I thought I had better get a card posted to put everyone at ease. I didn't realize until I talked to my daughter this morning that she was worried because I hadn't posted every day this week.  I have to blame my lack of posting on the cat.  Yes, the cat! For 4 nites in a row, he kept me up half the nite whining & carrying on because there was a moth in the house. Two moths, in fact! I managed to kill one but the other got away. Now, most cats probably ignore bugs, but Brady has a major meltdown if a cricket, fly, mosquito, moth or ant ever crosses our doorstep. There is no sleeping until the offending bug is safely dead. I'm sure it would have made a great video.  Me chasing a moth with my can of hairspray (better than a fly swatter) in one hand & trying to hold the cat back with the other. End result is you don't function too well on 3-4 hrs of sleep a nite & don't have the energy to come home from work & make a card!

Today's card is from Sassy Cheryl's & I colored her with copics.  The beautiful paper is from Michael's dollar bin.  I loved it so much I made 2 cards from it today & went back for more before it was gone.

Don't you love her smile?  And the big feet!  She just makes me laugh to look at her. Hopefully, the birthday gal she is for will like her too.

Well, I'm off to bed.  Hopefully, to sleep for a change! lol

Something different

Hi everyone,

Tonite I decided to try something different.  I made my first card from a "sketch" I found. I've never tried to design a card around someone else's card sketch before & it was actually fun.  This is what I came up with.

The paper is from Recollections. The stamped image from Hampton Art Hot Fudge Studio. I added a rose I made from the middle paper strip using C.C. Designs Rolling Rose die.  Nothing very fancy, but it could be a nice thank you, thinking of you or even a sympathy card, don't you think?

Time to quit & get a few things done.  Tomorrow is Friday!  Hurray!!!

Catch you all later.

Fly away home...

Happy Monday!

I thought I would share another birthday card tonite.  This is an image by Cheryl Alger that I originally purchased from Sassy Cheryl's, but I see is also carried at Squigglefly. I love her images.  I colored her with copics. The paper is from DCWV and the cute ladybug is a button I bought one day because I just couldn't pass it up.  I love ladybugs! Whenever I find one in the house, I always carry it outside to let it go.

I made this another step card so the birthday girl could sit it on her desk if she wanted to.

They are saying high 80's for the temperature tomorrow. And around 90 for Wednesday, then a small chance of seeing snow flakes this weekend.  I think Mother Nature must be going thru her change of life! lol

Pile on the birthday wishes!

Well, as you could see from Saturday's post, I am trying to catch up on birthday cards for the May birthdays at work.  This one will be for one of the gals who has 3 cats (hopefully in the same colors as these) and I decided this digi from Squigglefly would be the perfect choice for her card.

I'm sure she has seen her three "kids" in a kitty pile many times & I hope she loves this card.
I colored it with copics & the outside message "Pile on the birthday wishes!" as well as the inside message "Hope your birthday is Purrrrrrfect!" were both computer generated. I cut the outside message out with one of my new dies from Memory Box. The paper is from Recollections.

Have a wonderful week! I'm off to get ready for Celebrity Apprentice.  This bunch is about the worst I have seen yet. I don't think many in this group are leaving a good impression on the public. I've certainly changed my mind about a lot of them after watching their behavior! Apparently, their mothers never told them "if you can't say something nice about somebody, don't say anything at all." ha ha

1500 Followers

No, not me! ( I would be THRILLED to have even 100) Check out Mina's blog Pink Puds for the amazing blog candy she is giving away in honor of making 1500 followers.  Her coloring is amazing & so is her blog.

Off to color. I'll be back later with something to share.

Inspiration from across the pond..

Hi everyone,
Don't you love it when Blogger decides to update & change everything you are used to with no warning (or instructions)?  It appears they have changed the whole format of "posting" so we will see how successful I am at doing it with the new format.

Today's card is made with inspiration from across the pond. This darling Sara Kay image & cute rooster button were gifts from my friend Victoria who has an awesome blog "across the pond" as she refers to it.  I think the thing I have enjoyed the most with my blogging is all the wonderful new friends I have met. Stampers are among the most generous & amazing people you will ever meet. They are always ready to share their knowledge & talents with those just starting or less experienced.

I colored her with copics & the DP is from Recollections.  I had such fun with this card. It's going to be a birthday card for one of the gals at work.

I hope she enjoys it. With so many birthdays, it gets hard to come up with new stamps that nobody has seen.

Better get back to stamping.  I got some new goodies today & they are calling me to come & play!  I'll catch you all later.

One step, Two steps!

Ok, I know sometimes it doesn't take much to entertain me...lol But, I had so much fun making a step card the other day, that I just had to try it again.  For this one, I wanted to do a birthday card. We have quite a few female birthdays coming up this month at work. I was looking for a cute stamp when I came across this one I had printed out a long time ago. Before I got into stamping, I was into making cards using something called Hugware. For several years, I collected their images and still use them to make my address labels. A lot of their images could be printed either in color or as line drawings. This was one of them. I was so sad this year when they notified everyone that they had gone out of business. They had some awesome images & allowed a lot of crafters to make some wonderful things.

My first attempt to post this ended up aborting for some reason.  I'm blaming it on the computer devils who love to frustrate me! UGH!!

Anyway,  I colored this in copics & used one of my Martha Stewart punches to create a lace edging by punching both sides of a strip of paper instead of just one side. I hope the gal who gets this will enjoy it.

Enjoy your week & I'll catch up with you all later.

oops!

Hi everyone,

I hope you all made it past the stormy day & night we had yesterday with no injuries or damage. While we really needed the rain, we didn't need the severe weather with it! I'm sure the poor cat would add a big AMEN to that statement.  He likes storms about as much as I do.  If I wasn't too big to get under the bed with him, I'd probably beat him there when it gets bad.

Today's card is for one of my fellow workers.  He took a bad fall on the concrete steps into our building on Thursday & fractured his kneecap.  Ouch!  I thought this poor bunny from Hambo Stamps, who seems to have met with a similar accident, would be the perfect stamp for his get well card.

I'm not sure you can see it from my photography, but this was my first attempt at a step card.  He was colored with copics & the paper is from G.C.D. Studio.

Have a great week, everyone.  Catch you all later.

I'm back!

Hi everyone!

All my good intentions to post every night somehow never happened this week.  But I did manage to get a card done tonite to celebrate tomorrow being Friday!  I found this adorable image at Sassy Cheryl's and just had to download it.  I colored her with copics & the paper is from my stash.

Isn't she a hoot?  I thought she would be a great birthday, thank you, get well.....almost anything kind of card. Love her cheerful little grin, don't you?

Have a great Friday the 13th, everyone!  I hope nobody is freaked out by the date.  I live with a black cat, so Friday the 13th isn't any biggie at my house!  lol

Catch you all later.

HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter!

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Easter Sunday & are surrounded by all those you love. And I hope you have taken time to say a prayer of thanks for all of your blessings. Sometimes we get so caught up in the Easter baskets we forget what it is that we are actually celebrating.

This was the only Easter card I had time to make this year for me personally.  I did make several for a friend, but ran out of time for my own.  So for all of you that normally get an Easter card from me, this will have to do.  It is a digi I love from Angel's Landing and was colored with pencils & gamsol. The doily behind it is from Cheery Lynn and the flowers in the corners are done with a corner punch from EK Sucess I have had for years.  The paper is from Recollections.

Enjoy your Sunday & have a great week!  I'll catch you all later.

You are a classic!

Hi all!

Tonite I have a quick post with another "guy" card to share.  This one was super fast & easy. The digi is from TLC Creations and makes a great guy card.  I colored it with copics and added some corners with a Marianne Design die.  The paper is from my stash.

I hope your week is going well.  It's hard to believe it is half over already! Catch you later!

Thank you my friend..

Hi everyone,

It has been an overcast day all day today & several times it almost looked like rain.  Quite a departure from the hot & sunny days we have had lately.  And much cooler!  So in keeping with the weather, I thought I would share a thank you card featuring another adorable Mo Manning image.  I colored her with copics and the sentiment was computer generated to fit the image.

I guess it could be worse. Denver was supposed to be getting snow! And, of course, poor Texas was having tornadoes today, so I'll settle for boring, but gloomy weather any day!  I hope you are having a wonderful week, wherever you are!  Back tomorrow with something new to share.  Catch you then!

It's Monday again!

Isn't it funny how Mondays just seem to creep up on you?  One minute it is Friday nite & the next minute it is Monday again.  Just how does this happen!!  ha ha

I decided to share another birthday card tonite.  I made this one for those masculine birthdays that are always so hard to make anything for.  Why can't guys appreciate furry little animals or flowers & glitter the way we do?  lol    This happy little chef is from Digi Doodles & I colored him in copics. The flourishes are from Spellbinders & the paper from my stash.  I hope the guy who gets him will be pleased.

Enjoy your week!  Catch you tomorrow!

Who turned the oven on?

Hi everyone,
I needed a birthday card and this one seemed to go right along with the day. It feels just like someone turned on the oven when you step outside.  They are expecting records highs again today of over 90. It almost makes you think you could bake a cake outside today!

This is a Mo Manning digi I colored with copics.  I used Spellbinder dies for the matting & the paper is from Recollections.

It has been a crazy weekend.  I've been doing birthday cards,  Thanksgiving cards & am about to start on some Christmas cards. Variety is the spice of life, right?

Have a wonderful week.  I'll be back tomorrow with something else to share. Catch you then.
