Every dog has it's day!

I know I was going to get back to Christmas cards tonite, but I forgot I had to make a birthday card for a gal at work.  She is a big dog lover, so hopefully, this card will hit her spot.  I may have to make another to keep for my stash! Popping the dog & dog dish up really helped.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.  Only 4 days left until the long weekend!  Yeaaa!!

A productive weekend!

Someone told me once that you should always do the things that you hate first & get them over with.  I decided to try that & spent the whole weekend making the dreaded "man" birthday cards.  As anyone who makes cards will confess, these are our least favorite of ALL cards!  You can't put flowers or glitter or cute animals with smiling faces on them! (Well, I have to confess, I did find a way to add glitter to the fishing bobber... It just didn't pop without the glitter!

Since I had to make some birthday cards for family anyway, I just kept going.  A welcome break from all the Christmas cards I have been doing.

Hopefully, there are still lots of golfers out there.

And if the  men don't golf, let's hope they are all fishermen.

And I don't think there are guys anywhere who don't love old cars.

Now, I think I'm cleaning up my huge mess & calling it a day.    Tomorrow I'll start back on the Christmas things.

Are you tired of Christmas yet?

Well, Melissa, here are some more Christmas cards.  Just for you!
Should have taken the plastic wrap off, but you get the idea. The buttons are what caused the wrinkles in the plastic.
I'm having problems tonite getting things just where I want them, but am too tired to start over. Thank Heavens tomorrow is Friday!!  YEAAA!!

It's still Xmas at my house!

Well, I only got 14 Xmas cards done this weekend, but that is a start & I'm still fired up yet which is a good sign. When i start getting burned out, I'll take a break & work on my Halloween cards!
Here is one of the Xmas cards. It is hard to see when you scan them, but the santa is popped up with pop dots so he is dimensional.

This one didn't scan well.  Unfortunately, in my haste to get everything into plastic sleeves & boxed up as I go, I forgot to scan it before I put the plastic on so the lines across the face of it are from the plastic wrap.
The last is one of my hedgehogs.

Someday when I have more time, I'll figure out how to photo them so they show better. This will have to do for now. And I'm calling it a night.  The laundry is calling my name! Such an exciting life!!

Is it Christmas yet?

I'm beginning to think by the time I get enough Xmas cards done, I will be sick of Xmas.  Nah!  It will never happen.  Christmas is still my favorite holiday.  I haven't gotten many cards done today.  It was one of those days where your good intentions just didn't happen.  I'll have to double up my efforts tomorrow.
Here are a couple of the latest Xmas cards I just finished.  This one is a little trio of penquins I'm hoping will hit someone's Christmas spot.

This next one is from a digital stamp I just got.  Hopefully, there will be some doggie lovers in the crowd. I finished a cat version too, but it didn't "grab" me so it didn't make the post.
Back to the drawring board to see what I can come up with.

Oh, Martha!

Oh, Martha, why do you have to keep making such irresistable punches?  Another one jumped into my cart tonite and begged me to take it home.  Which resulted in me making Xmas cards to see how cute it was instead of making the 12 birthday cards I need for work & for me.  Darn, Martha!  She needs to spend more time on her yacht so I have more time to work! Or invite me along since I'm sure I've paid for most of it!

The color doesn't show up well just scanning them in, but you get the main idea.
I then used the rest of the paper to do a landscape version
Wow, I'm not sure what happened here, but this one is actually the same color & paper as the one above. Although the washed out version is pretty wild in  itself!  Oh, I do love technology!
Tomorow nite I promise to get back to my birthday cards.

Christmas in August

Ok, much as it pains me to be making Xmas cards instead of Halloween cards (which are always my favorite) I am working on cards for November.  Since the 5 I made Friday nite are already boxed away, & I didn't make any Saturday, these I made this afternoon will have to do.

This one is a hedgehog from my old stash of stamps.

Since I was using old stamps, my friend Gail pulled this little gingerbread boy out of the drawer & wondered why I had never used it before.  Now that I see how cute it turned out, I wonder myself.  Good thing Gail pulled it out!
I popped the center gingerbread boy up with pop dots but the scanner doesn't show it too well.

This little guy was another old stamp & again, it is hard to tell the snowballs & bird are popped up.
Enough for today.  I am off to do laundry.  Don't I lead the most exciting life you have ever seen!

Get Well wishes

Well, it seems there are a lot of folks having foot or knee surgery this month.  I needed a card for one of them & here are the 3 I came up with.

Now to decide which one to send....

Holiday cards

Yes, I know, I should be working on things for the November craft show & Halloween cards won't sell in November, but I just had to try the new Martha fence punch!  You know how I am...

Then to make myself feel better, I thought I had better do at least one Xmas card for the stash so I pulled out one of my all time favorite stamps from Plum Purdy for this snowman.

Now I'm calling it quits and heading for a fudge bar that is calling my name.  I believe it is saying "Hey, Fatso!"

New Post-New Look!

Well, people, what do you think of the new look?  I do SO love brick red! Do you think this is more in keeping with my "real" personality???

I did 3 new cards last nite and will try to share 2 of them in the middle of my post (if I have read the instructions correctly) but I am more than somewhat technology challenged so cross your fingers.

Well,  so far, it appears to have worked!  I'm not uncrossing my fingers just yet though.
The card on the left, obviously is a thank you card and the miserable little piggy is a get well card that would be perfect for anyone with "swine flu"  or just a plain old miserable run of the mill cold.

Keep tuning in to see what new things I can figure out next time!

I'm on a roll!

Here we go. My third post for the day! Hurray for me!

This one is a Xmas moose. Everyone needs one, don't they!

Xmas Cards

Let's try the Xmas cards again.

Sunday Post

Hi,

Thought I had better add something to my poor neglected blog. I've been so busy making cards I haven't had time to share any. Here is a "girly" birthday card I made yesterday. I also did a c a couple of Xmas cards. Got to change subjects so I don't get into a rut! I'll post the Xmas cards as soon as I figure out how to add more pictures. I'm having a problem trying to add more than just one image at a time. I need my grandson Josh here! He is my "go to" person for anything computer related!

Hi everyone,

I have been on vacation all week & so busy having fun with my grandson that there was no time for making cards. Back to business! Here is one of the dreaded "guy" cards we all hate to make. Done with a Mo Digital Pencil image (which I adore) and made on Memory Keepers paper.
