Easy, peasy!  Even if your guy doesn't have any favorite sports they all love nature.

Bunny Wishes!

Happy Sunday!

You know how I love "critters" and this one reminds me of the darling bunny that visits me every morning while I eat breakfast!  I can't believe how much he has grown since his first visit!  But then the birdseed and corn I have out for the birds seems to be a favorite with him as well.  He and Alvin (my favorite squirrel) take turns sitting in front of the kitchen windown chowing down!  Alvin gets so much stuffed into his cheeks that he actually looks more like a chipmunk than a squirrel! Brady ignores Alvin, but whenever the bunny comes he just goes nuts!  His tail goes 100 mph while he sits in the window watching him.

I'm waiting for my camera to recharge and I have more cards to take.  As I said earlier, I have been gearing up for a donation and these are all part of it.

See you tomorrow!

A whole year more incrediblerer!

Hi, again!

Don't you love that sentiment!  I laughed out loud when I saw it with the cute birthday stamp from Stamping Bella.  We all want to feel like a queen on our birthdays, don't we?

I just thought she was adorable! It's hard to see, of course, but I always use Wink of Stella on my images for that extra sparkle!

Hope your weekend is incredible and you are getting in some good relaxation!  We all need those weekends to unwind & recharge for the coming Monday, don't we?

See you tomorrow!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Down on the Farm

Hello, again!

Can you believe July is almost over already?  I've been trying to get outside & soak up the warm days while I can.  They disappear all too quickly!

The QKR Stampede challenge for today is "Down on the Farm" and although I looked at a ton of QKR Stampede digi's, I just had to grab # 16913 - Stack of Pigs.  I knew it would send a smile to someone who is going through some rough times right now.

I'm not sure why the camera angle makes the sides look wavy, but my photography skills leave a LOT to be desired!

Grab your favorite farm themed stamps or dies & see what you can come up with!  You could be the lucky winner of some new digi stamps!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Orange is the New Black!

Hi, everyone!

I couldn't resist the title!  ha ha   I'm not usually a person who uses much orange, but grabbed it for this cutie.  Stamping Bella has the cutest stamps around! I decided to make this one into a birthday card.  She just has such a happy little face!

I should have added freckles to her face!  I may do that before I package it up for the donation.

See you tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Cow #2

Hi, gals!

Time to share cow number 2!  Looks like he has stuck his head under the fence to get to the really "good" grass on the other side.  I'm sure I would do the same thing!  ha ha   He looks totally content doesn't he?  Good company, good food......life is good!

What is there about a card with a critter on it that immediately makes you smile?  My daughter loves only cards with critters....not people!  So I know on her birthday I have to be sure the card has a critter of some kind.

Enjoy the rest of your week, ladies!  I'll see you tomorrow!

Cow A Bunga!!

Happy Surprises!

Hello, everyone!!!  I'm sure you have all had unexpected "surprises" that have just made your day. Well, I had one the other day that just made my whole week!  I went to the mailbox expecting the usual junk mail & bills.  To my surprise, there was a fat padded envelope in my box.  I immediately searched my mind trying to remember what I could have ordered & forgotten about.  Nothing came to mind and when I pulled it out of the box, I saw that it was from one of my favorite people on earth! My friend Leslie had seen me post a card featuring a cow & explain how much I loved cows.  She had two cow stamps that she decided would have more love at my house than at hers & she shipped them off to me!  I can't tell you how excited I was!!  I had planned to color up some Stamping Bella stamps that afternoon, but went directly back & colored up both of these instead.  This is the first card & I will post the 2nd one tomorrow.

Isn't this the cutest cow ever?  I'm in love with him!  The inside of the card says:"An "udder" year older? Have an udderly  wonderful birthday!"

If you think this little guy is cute, just wait until you see tomorrow's!

With Sympathy!

Hello, friends!

Another week has rolled around & I'm sure you are all trying to get back in the "work" mode after a relaxing weekend.  Mondays were never my favorite day! ha ha

Here is the other new die I mentioned previously.  I LOVE lacy dies! It took me awhile to decide how I wanted to make this to take full advantage of the gorgeous lace work.

I'm watching Brady laying in the window & thinking a short nap sounds pretty good right now! I may have to grab my Kindle & head to the sunroom to finish as much of a story I'm reading as I can before I join him in a nap!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Brady is asleep in his window bed in the sunroom!  He can't resist these sunny days & his favorite method of enjoying them seems to be to nap through them! ha ha

If he is not napping in the window, he is laying on his yellow pillow on the floor lapping up the sunshine!  What a life!

Today I have a birthday card to share.  I got a couple new dies & of course, you have to try them out right away!

I thought this would make a beautiful card & I was right! LOVE this die!  I know.....I say that about ALL of them, don't I?  Lol!

I used the other new die on a sympathy card which I will share tomorrow.

Hugs,
Sherri

Wishing you a comfy cozy birthday!

Hi, gals!

Are you in full weekend mode and trying to get all your chores finished so you have time to relax and have fun?  I remember those days all too well!  Here is another combination stamp/die set I found.  I loved the sentiment & knew I had to get it.

I made these 2 quite similar except for the color of the lace & position of the couch & chair.
I needed some quick cards for my stash!  And these certainly fit the bill!

Enjoy your weekend!  Try to get at least a couple of hours in to just relax and enjoy yourself!

QKR Stampede challenge - Up Up & Away

Hi, friends!

I hope your summer is going well & you are enjoying the gorgeous weather!  If it is really hot & muggy where you are, you may want to find an activity that will keep you nice & cool inside.  I have just the ticket!  The QKR Stampede Challenge for today is "Up, Up & Away" and that leaves you with a lot of options.....planes, birds, angels, balloons.....flying pigs!  Yes, flying pigs!  I found this darling image # 24199 in the QKR Store and just had to use it!

He was so fun to color & I decided to go with the sentiment printed on a cloud.  I don't know about you, but I love cards that give me a chuckle!

Grab your favorite stamps, dies or whatever you can & come join in the fun!  The end result is a lot of fun, another card for your stash and a chance to win some free digi stamps!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!  And stay cool!

A Snowman Hello!

Hi, everyone!

I hope you are still in the Christmas mood!  It's hard to imagine it's only a little over 5 months away! This is a stamp set I found at Tuesday Morning for $3.99 and it has 2 different snowmen, some snowflakes, a sentiment AND a die to cut the snowman!  Again, this took very little time to color!

I grabbed the same snowflake frame that I used yesteray, but didn't add the glitter. They had a couple other stamp/die sets there that day & I'm sorry now that I didn't get one of each! Lesson learned!

I'll see you all tomorrow with our QKR Stampede challenge & then on Saturday, I'm back with some birthday cards.

Sherri

Warm & fuzzy wishes!

Happy Hump Day!

You've managed to survive half your week already!  I thought it would be fun to share a Christmas card to help you think about something else besides the beastly heatwave!  These cute little guys are from Stamping Bella again.  I grabbed one of my favorite snowflake frame dies for them too.  I sprayed it with spray adhesive & then sprinkles lots & lots of white glitter on it.  You know how I love my glitter!

There isn't a ton of coloring on this stamp & it went quickly! Even stopping to add the glitter!

While I was in the Christmas mood, I made another snowman card & will share that one tomorrow.

Hugs,
Sherri

An "Udder" Year Older?

Happy Tuesday!

I hope your week is going smoothly & you are not sweltering in the same heat wave that we are!
It has been beastly hot here with high temperatures AND high humidity! Thank heavens for air conditioning!

I got a fun new stamp from LaLa Land Stamps the other day & I'm having so much fun playing with it! I love silly cows! The sillier the better!  And I have a ton of fun "moo" sentiments to go with them all.  Here are the first 2 cards I made with this cute stamp.

I don't know why I have such a love for cows....probably watched too many episodes of "Ma & Pa Kettle on the Farm"......I'm sure you younger gals are saying "WHO????" right now.  And that's ok, because I say the same thing when I hear the names of a lot of today's musical groups!

I'll be back tomorrow with some fun penquins.

Hugs,
Sherri

With Heartfelt Condolences

Hello, everyone!

I love a sympathy card that gives you a feeling of tranquility and peace.  And this card seems to have both.  I love the soft color behind that beautiful tree branch.  I just wish we didn't need so many condolence cards!

I don't know why a simple card seems to be more effective than a fussy one.  Maybe with all the emotions you feel at a loved one's death, you just need something peaceful and calm.

The die I used on this card was a Poppy Stamp die called Schaefer Curve.  It is so gorgeous and can be used in so many ways!

I hope your week is off to a great start and just gets better & better every day!

Sherri

Free Hugs!

Hugs, everyone!

Sometimes all you need is a good hug & you will feel much, much better! I think that is true for everybody.  And when you can't give a hug in person, you can always send one on a card.  These cute friends from Stamping Bella have the hug thing down to perfection.

I'll be back tomorrow with a sweet sympathy card.  Unfortunately, we never run out of the need for those.

Hugs,
Sherri

Dies R Us Challenge - Use Sentiment as focus

Hello, everyone!

I bet you are all tired of the heat & looking for something to do inside where it is cool! I have the perfect solution for you.  Grab your favorite sentiment and create a card using that as the card focus and you could be the winner of a gift voucher to the Dies R Us store!  And believe me, you will LOVE shopping there!  It is always my favorite shopping destination!

For my card, I chose a new die I just got recently.  Taylored Expressions Thanks Cutting Plate.

Doesn't it make a gorgeous card?  No effort at all & you have a beautiful thank you card!  I'm a big believer in sending thank you notes and go through a ton of them every year.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend & I hope I see a lot of your entries posted to the blog!

Hugs,
Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - By the Seaside

Happy Friday, everyone!

Are you dreaming of a vacation by the shore and wishing you were there?  Well, the challenge theme for this week's QKR Stampede is "By the Seaside" and if you can't actually go there (like me) you can do the next best thing & make a card pretending you are there!  I chose to use QKR Stampede digi # 24321 - Heron for my card.  I have to admit that the final card is nothing like I had originally planned out in my head.  Again..... I was originally thinking of something with a lighthouse, but the image kind of decided for me.

I actually ended up liking this card a lot better after it was done than I thought I would.

I can't wait to see what YOU come up with!  Grab your favorite seaside stamps & dies & join in the fun!  You may be the lucky winner of some new digi stamps!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Ho Ho HO !

Ho, Ho, Ho, everyone!

Are you in the mood for Christmas yet?  Me neither!  But having some new Christmas stamps from Stamping Bella will certainly get you there!  I couldn't pass up this adorable Santa.

Some cute Santa paper, a corner holly die and you are done!  He colors up quickly and makes a great Christmas card!

Of course, I had to add some glitter to his bow before I could call him done.  You can't have a really good card until you have at least SOME glitter!  Right?

I'll be back tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge.  See you then!

Hugs,
Sherri

Penquin Love

Happy Hump Day!

I decided today would be a great day for a Christmas card.  I've always loved penquins and these two cuties just spoke to me.  How adorable are these little lovers!  This is another Stamping Bella stamp from my sale order.

It may not show up well, but I used white glitter paper for the snowflake frame for extra sparkle.
You know how I LOVE my sparkle!

Back tomorrow with another  Christmas card!  It's fun to work ahead on some so I'm not struggling to make them all when December comes.

Hugs,
Sherri

Let's Think Fall!

Hi, friends!

Are you already tired of all the heat & humidity?  Well, let's take a break from that & think about autumn for awhile.  I found another adorable Stamping Bella stamp on sale & had to have it.  Actually, I purchased several of them....who can pass up a sale on their favorite stamps!  ha ha

Isn't she sweet?  And I love the sentiment with her too! I'm using this as a Thanksgiving card.  Her cute hat just said Thanksgiving to me!

I'll be back tomorrow with a cute Christmas card.

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello, again!

Once again it is time for my favorite theme...."Anything Goes".....With so many fantastic images at the QKR Stampede store, there are always images I want that don't quite fit in with a specific challenge.  I had to have this one!  I chose digi # 502 - Hen Laying for my card.  I have some great "chicken" themed sentiments & knew just what I was going to use.

The sentiment inside says "Face it sweetie...You ain't no spring chicken, but Happy Birthday anyway!"

I love cards that add a little chuckle for the day.  I think laughing at yourself is one way to keep yourself young!  I had the perfect die for chicken wire and cut it in silver metalic paper.

Grab your favorite stamps and come play along!  What better chance to win some digi stamps and also to add to your stash of cards!

Enjoy the weekend!

Dies R Us Challenge Blog - Layers!

Happy July 1st, everyone!

Do you have your fireworks & sparklers ready?  It won't be long until the fourth is here and I'm sure there will be parties and cookouts all over the country to celebrate the big day! I don't know what kind of weather you have been having, but it has felt like July for weeks!

The theme for the Dies R Us challenge today is "Layers" and what a perfect chance to pull out your favorite dies & layer them!  I was going to go in a different direction for this challenge, but ended up deciding to do a Fourth of July card instead.  I have tons of suitable dies & they don't get as much use as they should.  Here is what I came up with.

I used the following dies for this card: Memory Box Starry Wreath, Die-Versions Independence Kids, Lawn Fawn Larged Stitched Square Stackables, Die-Versions Stitched Nesting Stars.

With such a general theme, just let your imagination run wild & see what you can come up with.  You don't want to miss a chance at winning that gift voucher to the amazing Dies R Us Store! If you have never been there before, you should go right now! It will become your favorite place to shop! They have the largest selection, the lowest prices & best shipping rates anywhere!

Hugs,
Sherri
