Quiet Country Morning....

Hello, again!

While you are getting ready for your Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow, you can take time to picture yourself in this tranquil winter scene.  You can almost hear the birds singing as they sit on the fence by the water.  This card was made with the following dies: Spellbinders Elegant Ovals (currently out of stock), Memory Box Country Fence Oval FrameImpression Obsession Small Deer & Impression Obsession Cardinals.

The Country Fence Oval Frame is beautiful with just sky behind it, but I wanted to add some winter trees to complete the scene & give it more depth. I grabbed an old Stampin Up tree stamp for the background.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow!  I won't say not to stuff yourself, as I know we all will! If you are one of the lucky ones who also has Friday off, happy shopping!  I can't think of anywhere better to start Christmas shopping that the Dies R Us Store!

See you all next week!

A Christmas "Selfie"

Hello again!

What could bring a bigger smile to your face than 3 adorable snowmen taking a "selfie" for Christmas? I can't think of anything any cuter than this!  The digi is from Sassy Cheryl.  The dies are: Cheery Lynn Holly Corner & Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders. They are both available at Dies R Us!

I bet you are smiling now, aren't you?  That was my reaction the minute I saw this digi!

I'll be back tomorrow with something for Dies R Us!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Skating by with Christmas Wishes!

Surprise!

You aren't used to seeing a post from me on Mondays are you?  Well, I am finally catching up a bit & have so many Christmas cards made that I decided to start sharing some of them.

Today's card was made using a Sassy Cheryl penguin.  You all know how much I love & use her digi images, especially her snowmen, but her penguins are equally adorable!

I wish you could see the glitter paper I used and the Wink of Stella I added to the penguin, but in person, there is a whole lot of glitter going on!

The beautiful die is Memory Box Dancing Snowflake Frame and can be found at Dies R Us.

Catch you again tomorrow!

A Country Christmas!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I hope your week is going well & life is good in your corner of the world!  If you have looked at the calendar you know that Thanksgiving is next week & I'm sure you are already making plans for your celebration. And by now, you probably have your Thanksgiving cards already done & ready to drop in the mail.  So, with that thought in mind, I am sharing a Christmas card today!  It all started because I fell in love with the Memory Box Pinecone Frame.  I just knew I wanted to make some of my cards with this beautiful die.  After playing around with it for a bit, I decided to add some pine needles using my Impression Obsession Pine Cone & Fir Branches die which is one of my "go to" dies for winter.  Unfortunately, we are out of stock on this one at the moment, but you could easily substitute Memory Box Pine Needle Twigs if you don't want to wait.  To finish it off, I added a sentiment using Cheery Lynn Merry Christmas.  This is also a must have!  You get 2 sizes of the Merry Christmas sentiment and can decide which size looks best on your card.  It's so much easier to use a die for your sentiment than to finish a card & smudge the sentiment you try to stamp on it!

Here is what I came up with!  I thought it needed some of my favorite gingham paper to complete that country look along with a little burlap bow.  I hope you agree!

I know you are getting some wonderful ideas from our daily Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, but don't forget to drop in on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog too!  Share some of those fantastic ideas YOU have and you could be the winner of a gift voucher to our amazing Dies R Us Store!

Until next week, have a wonderful week!  Take some time out of your busy schedule to create something! Creative people are HAPPY people!

Dies R Us Challenge - Thankful

Hello again!

Time for another Dies R Us Challenge for Team B.  The theme for this one is "Thankful" so get creative & see what amazing cards you can come up with to incorporate the things you feel thankful for... ...pumpkins, harvest, falling leaves....family...

I decided to go for a Thanksgiving theme to kill two birds with one stone, creating one of my needed cards to fulfill the challenge theme.  I used the following dies:  Memory Box Stitched Pumpkins, Impression Obsession Wheat, Memory Box Grape Vine & Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers.  The last 2 dies are out of stock right now but should be back soon!

I love gingham papers and thought they would be perfect for the country feel of this card.  And with the stitched pumpkins, I went with stitched circles.  (LOVE all the stitching dies DRU carry!!)  The sentiment is from MSE.

Be sure you stop by the Dies R Us Daily Inspiration Blog where you will find lots of inspiration from our talented group of gals Monday through Fridays!  And don't forget the store for the largest selection of dies anywhere around! (And don't forget their embossing folders & stamps too!)

Head on over to the Challenge Blog & enter YOUR entry! You could win yourself a gift voucher to the store!

Happy Creating!

Snowmany Thanks!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I know a lot of you are already working on your beautiful Christmas cards.  I am too!  But I am also working on my Christmas thank you notes.  Yup!  From the time I was small, my mother always taught me that a gift of any kind deserved not only a verbal thank you, but a hand written one as well.  A custom I have passed to my daughter and she has passed to her son.  When I saw this darling digi from Sassy Cheryl, I knew he would be perfect for a thank you note!  He was easy to color and I needed only 3 simple dies:  Poppy Stamps Stitched Holly Leaves & Berries, Memory Box Stitched Star LayersLawn Fawn Large Stitched Square Stackables.

For those of you who haven't yet entered the DRU challenges, there is still time left to get in on the current one and a new challenge begins on the 15th!  Head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift voucher to our fabulous store!

I'll see you again next Wednesday!  Have a fantastic week and don't forget to do something creative!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 164 - Turkeys

Happy Friday!

Ready for a relaxing weekend or too tired from a long week to even think about it yet?   I just realized that Thanksgiving isn't really that far away & boy am I behind on my Thanksgiving cards!  Since today's challenge theme is "Turkeys" I decided this little guy would be perfect for my card!  I used QKR Stampede digi # 14515 - Hunting Turkey.  Have you ever seen a happier bird?

He looks totally at ease and without a care in the world!  But with that cute musket on his shoulder he probably thinks he is safe from the Thanksgiving table!

Head on over to the QKR Stampede Blog and join in on the fun!  You could easily find yourself the recipient of several new digi stamps if you are the winner!

Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello, friends!

Not only is it Wednesday again & my turn to post a bit of inspiration, but it is only 3 more Wednesdays until Thanksgiving is here!!  Time seems to be flying by at warp speed these days, doesn't it?  For those of you who send Thanksgiving cards, I found this darling digi image from QKR Stampede that just made me smile.  If I were a turkey, I would probably be looking for my musket too!  Lol !  I used three of my favorite dies on this card:  Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Leaves, Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers & Tonic Studio Acorn Swirl.  Unfortunately, all three of these are currently out of stock, but should be back soon.   If you don't want to wait, you can find replacement dies by just doing a search at the Dies R Us Store.

These Lawn Fawn stitched leaves are some of my favorites because of the beautiful stitching detail.  I have a closeup of the leaves below so you can see for yourself!  Even with patterned paper, the detail is easy to see!

Be sure you head to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  We just started a new challenge on the first and you could be the winner of a gift voucher to the store!  I can't think of anything more fabulous than that!

Hopefully, this post will have given you some ideas of your own!  I'll see you again next Wednesday.  Happy crafting until then!
