Indecision...

Hi,
Ever have one of those days when you just can't seem to make a decision?  Do I work on cards tonite, or clean my messy craft room.....or fire up my Kindle for a game of Words with Friends?  Do I post a flower card, a guy card, a critter card....you get the idea!  I think I'll pass on the cards & fire up the Kindle.  It's so cold outside it just seems like a curl up on the couch kind of night.

So, let's go for a flower card tonite, for a change.  This Flourishes stamp makes a great card for a variety of occassions.  I stamped it twice so I could paper piece the bowl & lid. The paper was Recollections & I colored it with my Prismacolor markers.

Have a wonderful Friday! It's only supposed to be 7 below zero tonite, so we have one more frigid day to go through before it warms up for the weekend!  YEAAA!!

Catch you all later!

There's a "nap" for that..

Hi,

I hope you are all staying warm!  Brrrrrr, it's cold outside.  At least we missed the snow.  It looks like others weren't so lucky & got dumped on!

Tonight I'm sharing a guy birthday card.  I don't know anyone who likes making guy cards, but we all have to do them.  This one had me laughing & I had to get the stamp from Art Impression. I added a lure from a WhipperSnapper set to perk it up a bit.

Of course, you have to have a little glitter.  I think it's forgiven on a guy card if you put it on a fishing lure!  The paper was from Creative Imagination.   I hope some guy will like this card.

Stay warm!!!  Back tomorrow with something new.  Catch you later!

Puppy Love

Hi,

Well, we missed the freezing rain this morning, so we dodged one more bullet!  Spring has to be getting closer doesn't it?  Tonite we are supposed to have snow "showers"...does that mean May flowers are next?  ha ha

I have a thank you card to share tonite.  An image from Cuddly Buddly that I've had for some time & still adore.   The beautiful oval is from Marianne Designs & the paper is from my stash.

I should be back tomorrow with something new.  Catch you later!

Hugs

Hi,

Are you getting tired of the gloomy, foggy, rainy weather yet?  I am!  I got up early in case the freezing rain they kept talking about hit our area.  Luckily, it was above freezing, just foggy.  Tomorrow morning it sounds like we will have freezing rain, freezing fog & zero visibility.  Apparently, visibility is already down to zero according to the weather man I just saw.

In keeping with the gloomy weather, I thought we could all use a big hug!  So tonight's card will be a Valentine "hug" instead of what I had originally planned to share.  This is a digi from Sassy Cheryl.

The large heart was cut with a Spellbinder die.  The smaller, lacy ones with a Cheery Lynn die. The paper was from my stash & I added some Stickles to his bow & hearts.  You can NEVER have enough glitter!

Have a great day!  Catch you later!

Rainy day..

Hi, everyone!

Another gloomy day in Iowa!  It has been raining most of the day.  It is slightly above freezing here right now, but that will change with nightfall.  I'm guessing tomorrow's drive to work may be a  lot like one of those rides in the amusement park that you  see & wonder who in their right mind would ever get on!

Today I have a "thinking of you" little note card to share.  Another of Sassy Cheryl's fabulous digi's.

Remember those days as a child when you would lay on your back in the yard & look up at the sky & try to decide what animals the clouds looked like?  I think that is exactly what she is doing.  The paper is from Recollections. The dies were from Spellbinders and, of course, she was colored with Prismacolor brush markers.

Have a wonderful week! And a safe one!  I'll be back tomorrow with something new.

How bout a hug?

Hi, all!

Well, our cold is hanging on.  And now they are talking about freezing rain Saturday night into Sunday. I'm hoping this is one of the many, many times the weatherman has been totally wrong!  I can handle snow & cold, but I HATE ice!  Enough weather!

Tonite I have another birthday card to share.  Another Sassy Cheryl digi I couldn't resist.

I colored him with Prismacolor brush markers & mounted him on Recollections paper.  The sentiment was cut with Spellbinders.  I think every one of us has  fond memories of a teddy bear when we were little.  I actually still have mine, believe it or not!  At this point, he is still considered a "collectible" if I'm not mistaken. I think he has to be 100 yrs. old before he is an antique!  ha ha

Have a great Friday!  Catch you later!

Have a very "mice" birthday!

Hi, everyone!

Another brutally cold day here today.  Not the temperatures, as much as the wind with them! I'm counting the days until Spring!

Tonite I have another birthday card to share.  This one was made with a Stampin Up set I got from my sister & just love! I colored it with my usual Prismacolor brush markers and used Spellbinders dies & a Martha punch to finish.

I thought this would make a perfect birthday card for some gal who loves lace. (And as far as I am concerned, you can NEVER have too much lace!)

Better get busy before my energy runs out!  With the excitement of going to the vet yesterday, and the terror of the car ride, Brady slept like a baby until 5:30 this morning.  Which meant I got to sleep too!  ha ha Now I need about a week's worth of those nights to try to catch up!

Back tomorrow with something new!  Stay warm!

How was your day?

Hi,
I hope you have had a more relaxing day than mine.  After 2 sleepless nights worrying about the cat who has been trying unsuccessfully to cough up what I thought was a hairball, I took him to the vet this afternoon.  While he may have a minor hairball problem, he could also have some allergies going on.  Go figure!  I live with them daily!  So after a shot & some hairball meds we went back home again.  Have you ever tried to get an unwilling 20 lb cat into a carrier?  A broken fingernail & a raise in blood pressure later, I finally managed it.  He is so glad to be home again he is sleeping already & I think we will both get a good night's sleep tonite! The joys of being a cat "mommy" are endless! ha ha (But not to be traded for all the gold in the world)

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made with a digi from Saturated Canary.  I haven't done anything from them before but this cutie caught my eye.  I colored her with Prismacolor brush markers & mounted her on Recollections paper.  The banner was done with an EK Success punch.

Doesn't her cupcake look yummy?  Makes me wish I had one too!

I'll be back tomorrow with something new.  Catch you later!

Is it Spring yet?

Hi,
I don't know what your weather is like, but it is COLD here!  The temp is only 7 above and the wind chill is bringing it down below zero.  So today I decided to post something colorful & cheerful & spring-like!  I am going to pretend a flower could actually survive outside right now!

This is a Sassy Cheryl digi.  I LOVE her digi's!  I have never seen one I didn't fall in love with!  If you are not familiar with them, check them out.  I cut her out with a Spellbinder die & popped up a flower from the Recollections paper I used and also popped up the sentiment.   Doesn't she just say summer day!

I hope your week started well.  I'll be back tomorrow with something different! Stay warm!!
 Catch you later!

Oh, Baby!

Hi,

Remember that phrase, "Baby, it's cold outside?"  Well, that really fits the weather here tonight.  After a week of above temps and a high on Friday in the low 50's, we are going back into the deep freeze tonite. I think the high tomorrow is going to be 8....with wind....and possibly snow! Yuk, Yuk, Yuk!!!!

So tonite I am sharing a really fast & simple baby card.  By changing the paper, you can create one for a boy, girl or the either/or variety  for surprises!

Hot cute is this?  The die is from Marianne Design and I cut it out with a Spellbinder die.  The paper was from Recollections.  Nothing fancy, but still cute.

I was going to work on cards tonite, but the sinus infection I've been fighting for a week has changed my mind.  Think the couch & the Kindle sound like a better choice.  Hopefully, my headache will ease up & I will be back tomorrow with something new.

Catch you later.

Change

Hi, everyone!

Well, the week is almost over. And tomorrow the forecast is for temps in the high 40's or above! Pretty wonderful weather for January in Iowa! It looks like we have to enjoy it while it lasts as the temps are going below zero next week. Welcome to Iowa. If you don't like the weather, just wait a day! It always changes!

I have a sympathy card to share tonite.  Nothing fancy, just a heartfelt expression. The background paper is from Recollections and I stamped the sentiment & cut it out with Spellbinder dies. It's amazing how a die can just change the entire look of a card isn't it?

I hope your week is going well & your Friday will be a good one!  I'll be back tomorrow with something new.  Catch you later!

Celebrate today!

Celebrate today!   What a great idea!  Wouldn't it be nice if we all found something about every day that we could just "celebrate" and feel happy about?  I have a stamp somewhere that says something to the effect of "Count your rainbows, not your thunderstorms" & I think I'm going to have to dig it up & make a card with it.  So with that theme, I'm sharing a birthday card I made last week.

This little gal is from Lili of the Valley.  I cut her out with one of my favorite Marianne Designs dies & mounted her on Recollections paper which I also used to paper piece her dress.  The butterflies & corner punches are from Martha Stewart.

Have a great day tomorrow!  Catch you later!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

Hi, again!

Well, I'm back to glass in both lens again! I got off in time to stop by & get my glasses repaired, so now I have no excuse for bad coloring. ha ha

Today's card is one I made last week. A cute digi from Dearie Dolls that caught my eye.

I decided to make it into a thank you card. It was cut out with a Marianne Designs die & I colored it with my Prismacolor brush markers & added a little white squiggling with my white pen.  The flower was from my stash & the paper from Recollections.

Catch you later!   Enjoy "hump" day tomorrow!

4U

Happy Monday!

I hope yours was better than mine. It was one of those wild, wooly days that you think will never end & every email or phone call was a problem or more work. You know the kind of days I'm sure! And to make the day even more fun, the lens popped out of my week old glasses yesterday so I was back to my "cheaters" all day. The optical company was closed before I could get off work. Are you feeling my pain? ha ha   Enough of that! On to the fun stuff!

Today's card is a little elephant that I just loved on sight. He is from Crafter's Companion. I cut him out with a Spellbinder die and added a ribbon from my stash.  The paper is from Recollections.  I thought he would be a cute birthday card.

Back tomorrow with something new.  And hopefully, reports that I now have a lens in both sides of my glasses! ha ha   I hope you will have a wonderful day too!  Catch you later.

An early Valentine

Good morning, all!

It's cold here this morning with wind chills about 2 degrees & earlier there was a brief hint of snowflakes in the air but they have since passed us by.  Thankfully!  I'm not up to shoveling today.  I'm still fighting some version of a cold or a sinus episode, hard to tell which it is, but I'm ready for it to be over!  I thought today would be a good day to share a Valentine I made last week before my head plugged up & my creative juices dried up.

This was a digi from Designed2Delight.  I colored him with Prismacolor brush markers and it's hard to see in the picture, but I added Stickles to the valentine hearts & his fur trim.  You can never have enough glitter, and I figured any mouse secure enough to wear this crazy sweater wouldn't mind glitter either!  I cut him out with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles (one of my all time favorite die sets) and added hearts made with dies from Cheery Lynn.  The paper was from Recollections.

Back to my cards.....or that good mystery I'm half way through.....or a nap.....Catch you later!

Let's Keep it Simple!

Hi, everyone!
Tonite I have a really, really simple card to share. I got a new die from Heartfelt Creations & just had to try it out. Here is the Valentine I ended up with.  The double heart is the front & I also used the new dies for the inside & sentiment. The corners are from a Martha Stewart punch I've had awhile.  Love the gingham paper, of course!  It's always my first choice.

I hope your week is going well.  I'll be back tomorrow with more.  Catch you later!

Flat out Chicken!

Hi, everyone!
I'm going to make this a fast post while Blogger is still working!.  I'm getting really frustrated with it lately.

Here is my second "chicken" card (and my last for awhile).  This is a Judith image & I added some balloons to it to make it look more like a birthday card instead of the way I feel most mornings! Lol... The chicken wire is made with a Marianne Designs die & the sentiment banner is from Spellbinders.  I hope it gave you a chuckle.

I'll be back tomorrow with something entirely different.  Catch you later!

Hi Chick!

Hi,
I thought a little chuckle would be in order today to help brighten things up.  We have had fog all morning & it looks grey & dreary outside. Hopefully, this card will at least make you smile!

The stamp is from Art Impressions and the paper from Lily Bee Design.  The "chicken wire" was made with a die from Marianne Designs that a friend had & let me borrow.  When you run it through on silver paper, it looks like the real thing!  The flowers were from my stash.    I will be back tomorrow with another chicken card to share.

Have a great day!  Catch you tomorrow.

Yippeeeeeee!!!!

Can you believe it?  I actually got in to my blog & got it to upload a card!   Who knows if this will continue functioning, but for now, at least,  I can post!  Yippeeee!!!

Today's post is a digi from Designed2Delight.  They have some cute things & this one caught my eye immediately!  I can't resist "critters" of any kind.  My daughter will love it too as critters have always been her favorite as well.    The paper was from my favorite paper pad of gingham that I used in the last posting too. It was colored with Prismacolor brush markers & the flower was from my stash.

Back to creating.....I'll be back with something else tomorrow!  Catch you later!

TOTAL FRUSTRATION

Hi, everyone!

Sorry I have no card to post today.  Actually, I have MANY cards to post, but Google has decided to change their password system, and the way you can upload pictures now.  Trying to add a photo from my own files is no longer possible.  They have to be in Piccasa albums!  Apparently, you can no longer access things where you have them stored in your computer.  And unless you are willing to be billing $38 to ask a question, it seems you are on your own.

Is anyone else having this nightmare?

A Basket of Thanks

Hi, everyone!

Just a quick post tonite.  My grandson is waiting to play a game of Words With Friends with me.   As if all the books I can read on my new Kindle Fire are not enough, now he has introduced me to games!  I need more hours in the day! lol  And more brain power!  So far, he is beating my pants off!

Tonite's card is a simple thank you card I did using some of my new Xmas dies...  You know how I adore dies!  This was made with a basket by Marianne Designs & the lace border by Cheery Lynn dies. Add a few flowers & a bow & instant card!  The paper is from my favorite pad of all times, "Signature Collection Gingham" by Creative Imaginations.  The whole pad is double sided gingham in various colors. I wish I had a case of it!  LOVE gingham!!

The wind is howling tonite & the temperature is dipping rapidly.  Going to be another cold few days.  Stay warm wherever you are!

Catch you later!

official Happy New Year...

Hi, everyone!
Here is my "official" Happy New Year" wish!  As always, I have good intentions to send out lots & lots of these, but reality set in & I only had time for one.  So this will have to do as my new year card to everyone!

I love this Mo Manning image! It's just so cute.  I colored it with my Prismacolor brush markers & cut it out with a Spellbinder die.  The cute pennants were added with a Fiskers punch.

I hope this coming year will be one of blessings for everyone.

Catch you later!
