Happy Wednesday, gals!

Are you already looking forward to a wonderful weekend?  Me too!  If you have any spare time this weekend, you may want to try your hand at this easy baby card!  It's simple to make, takes very little time & can be turned into a darling card for either a baby boy or girl........or kept generic if you don't know the baby's sex yet!  I used only two dies:  Die-namites Baby Clothesline and Spellbinders Heirloom rectangle.

How cute is this!  I added the cute sentiment from an old Papertrey set called Simple Sentiments.

Head on over to the Dies R Us store if you want these dies.  They have an enormous selection and the lowest prices anywhere!

QKR Stampede # 131 - Think Spring!

Hi, gals!

Well, are you thinking spring yet?  I'm counting the SECONDS till it is here!  To help us get in the mood, why not hop on over to QKR Stampede for this week's challenge # 131 - Think Spring?  With a theme like this, your options are enormous!  And they have so many adorable stamps (both rubber and digi) that you will find more than enough ideas!  I decided to go with digi # 6805 - Bunny & Butterfly for my card.  I thought it would be a cute spring card, but could also double as an Easter card!

I began by using a new embossing folder I got for Christmas.  It's by Embossalicious and is called "Butterfly Swirl Corner" and I know it will become one of my favorite folders.  I added a couple of butterflies from Cheery Lynn & EK Success to go with the butterfly theme & fussy cut this adorable bunny.

It's your turn!  Head on over to QKR Stampede's challenge blog & enter a card of your own for a chance to win some fabulous stamps!

Enjoy your weekend!!

Wishing you a wonderful beginning....

Happy Hump Day!

Your week is already half over!!  I hope it has been an awesome week & will just continue to get even better!

Today I have a really elegant wedding card to share.  With warmer weather on the way, it won't be long before you get invitations to those spring & summer weddings!  This one is really easy to put together & by changing the flowers, you can easily match the bride's colors if you know them.  I have complete instructions on how to cut this on the Dies R Us Blog today. I used only 2 dies:  Spellbinders Labels 10 and Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves.

From the two cutouts created when you cut the outside frame, I layered those for the inside!

I hope you will go over to the Dies R Us store & check out all the amazing inventory!  And don't forget to head over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog too!  You could be a winner of a gift certificate!

Enjoy the rest of your week, ladies!

Mr. & Mrs.

Happy Monday!

We are supposed to have marvelous weather here today with highs in the 80's! Which is really unusual for this early in the year, but something we are all more than ready for after the cold winter just past.

To celebrate, I've decided to share a wedding card I made with a new die from Sue Wilson called Italian Collection - Umbria.  It's a gorgeous thing & already one of my favorite dies!  To make sure you could see the beauty of it, I used the die itself as the frame for my card.

Doesn't this make a gorgeous card?  If you haven't checked out all the beautiful dies available now at Dies R Us, you really need to.  I think we are up to 44 die companies now & still adding new ones all the time. The prices are the lowest around and the shipping can't be touched anywhere either.  You will be like a kid in a candy store if you are a die "addict" like me.

I'm off to see what else I can create!  Have a wonderful week!

Shades of Green

Hi, gals!

Today's post is to let all of you know about the newest challenge at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is "Shades of Green" and I decided there was nothing better to do with shades of green this close to St. Patrick's Day than to make a St. Patrick's Day card!  I loved this card.  It isn't very complicated, but I liked the simplicity of it.

For this card I used Spellbinders Victorian Medallion Three, Cheery Lynn Two of Hearts & Spellbinders Ribbon Banner dies.  Check the Dies R Us store for these & many more!

Be sure you head on over to the Dies R Us Blog for the daily inspiration by our design team & while you are there, head over to the challenge blog to play along!  It's a great chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the amazing store!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 130 - Stitching --real or faux

Happy Friday, gals!

Ready for a weekend?   I sure am!  Today QKR Stampede has another challenge starting & all you need to do is use stitching...either real or faux!  Since I can't get my sewing machine to cooperate with sewing on paper, I decided to go with the faux stitching on digi# 19505 - Shamrock Girl.

Since St. Patrick's Day is coming, I thought I would make another card for the holiday & this little digi was too cute to pass up.

Put your thinking caps on, head for QKR Stampede and check out their adorable stamps & make an entry of your own.  You could be the winner of free stamps this time next week!

Enjoy your weekend!

With Deepest Sympathy!

Happy Wednesday!

I thought I would share a couple of cards today that show the versatility of a beautiful set of embossing folders "Sizzix Butterfly Lattice Set" and give you some ideas for those cards none of us enjoy making.....sympathy cards!  With the 2 beautiful embossing folders included in this set you can create an amazing number of cards for virtually any occasion.   For the first sympathy card, I used the lattice folder from the set.  I combined it with the Memory Box Honey blossom Sprig die and the smallest die from the Spellbinder Reflective Moment set.

For the second card, I grabbed the gorgeous butterfly folder from the set & added additional butterflies from Cherry Lynn Exotic Butterfly Small #2.

Be sure you visit the Dies R Us store to check out all the amazing dies, embossing folders & stamps!  The list of products grows by the minute & nobody can match their prices or their low shipping!!

QKR Challenge #129 - Bring On The Green!

Happy Friday, gals!

I bet you are already thinking ahead to what you have planned for the weekend aren't you?  Me too!  And if those plans include spending a little time in your craft room working on cards, you may want to think about joining this week's challenge at QKR Stampede!  The theme this week is "Bring on the green!" and I decided that was a perfect opportunity to start my St. Patrick's Day cards!  I used digi # 17610 - Pot of Gold & here is the result.

I used my Wink of Stella pen over the whole image to give it sparkle, which unfortunately, doesn't show up except to make the pot look streaked!  ha ha

Be sure you go on over to the QKR Stampede Blog & join in on the challenge!  It's a fun chance to win some adorable digi stamps!

Enjoy your weekend!

A Celebration of Love!

Happy Hump Day!

I hope your week is going splendidly and you have found a little free time to enjoy life this week!  Today I'm sharing two anniversary cards that I hope will inspire you to create something of your own.  Both of these cards began with the same 3 dies, but as you will see, both look totally different by just changing the background die I used.  The basic 3 dies are all perfect for anniversary, wedding or Valentine cards and better yet, all 3 are relatively inexpensive too!  The dies are: Impression Obsession Bench, Impression Obsession Couple Sitting and Impression Obsession Love Doves.  For the first card below, I used a background of Spellbinders Floral Affair.

The second card was made with the same basic 3 dies but with Spellbinders Heirloom Rectangle as a backdrop.  What a difference it made!  I also used that same die for the inside as well.

It's so much fun to mix & match your dies to come up with cards that are totally different, even when they are primarily the same.

Be sure you check out the Dies R Us store as you will be amazed at the selection there!  And don't forget to join the current challenge going on at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift card!

Happy Crafting!!

Happy Graduation!

Hi, everyone!

As promised, I'm back with a couple of ideas for graduation cards made with embossing folders.  i'm not sure whose folders these are as most of mine don't have names & I wasn't smart enough to write a name on them when I bought them.  I know better now!

This first card made use of one of my favorite stamps from Stampendous for the image.  The hat was from an old dollar stamp at Michaels which I cut out & popped up.

Again, I grabbed that dollar stamp (LOVE dollar stamps!) and put it with Memory Box Starry Wreath, which I have had for a long time & originally bought for 4th of July cards!

Both were easy to do & I think they would work for either a guy or gal.  Change the colors if you know their school colors, but black is always good if you don't!

Back tomorrow with a Dies R Us post!

Time to climb out of my rut!

Hi, gals!

If you are like me, it is easy to get into a rut with your card making!  When I start to make a card, I grab an image or a die (or both) and start trying to come up with something that grabs me.  It occurred to me the other day that I have a whole box of gorgeous embossing folders that just sit there, unloved and unused!  So, for a change of pace, I grabbed a few & am now sharing a few of the great sympathy cards I came up with.  I think I'm into a whole new "love" of folders now!

I also made some really cute graduation cards using embossing folders as my base.  I'll try to share those Tuesday.

Until then, I hope I've made you get out YOUR embossing folders & see what you can come up with!
