Just swinging by...

Hi, all!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  I got the chance to make a road trip yesterday & took a couple of friends down to visit my daughter & her family & spend a day shopping.  It was a much needed break & lots of fun, even if it left me exhausted!  We all managed to find some bargains, which made the day even more fun.  I'm blaming my daughter for the large paper pad that came home with me after I swore I was buying no more paper.  When she pointed out it was not only on sale half price, but she had an extra coupon for another 15% off AND it "looked" like me, how was I going to leave it on the shelf!  And if she hadn't mentioned the handbag sale at Dillards.........yup! Lime green one!  Doesn't every woman need a lime green purse?  lol

This is a card I made last week, but haven't posted.  It was with a Prairie Fairy digi.  I love her style, but wish she would post some new images soon.  I have most of the others already.

I embossed the background with a Cuttlebug  Organdy Stripe folder. The matting was cut with Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles and the ivy was from Marianne Design.

Enjoy the coming week! The weather has cooled down dramatically here & we had a record low of 45 last night, but we are supposed to be climbing back to the low 80's the rest of the week.  We had better enjoy this beautiful weather while it lasts!

Catch you later.

Under the weather?

Not today!  In fact, after an amazing massage I feel like a new person.  I definitely need to get a lottery ticket this week so I could afford to have these wonderful things more often.  But I do have another get well card to share.  This one is a digi from Designed 2 Delight.

I colored her with Prismacolor brush markers & mounted her with a Spellbinder die. I used 3 more Spellbinder dies for the bottom scroll work.   The paper was from Bo Bunny.  I wanted the card to be really cheerful, so hopefully the bright colors will do the trick.

Thanks for stopping by!  Catch you later!

Hang in There!

Hi, all!

Monday again, already! Where do the weekends go?  I think we should start a petition to make weekends 5 days long & the work week 2, don't you?  I'm sure everyone would sign it!

Today I have a get well card to share.  I made this for my son-in-law & since I'm fairly confident he doesn't check my blog,  I'm posting it before it arrives at his door.   It seemed the perfect card for him.

The image is from some old Hugware & the sentiment is from Kaiser Craft.  The paper was from my stash & the dies were from Joy Craft.

Catch you later!

A Purrfect Day..

Hi, all!

I hope you are having a "purrfect" day and it has been a great weekend! We were hoping for some rain this weekend, but it looks like it went elsewhere again.

To celebrate the "purrfect" day I have an angel kitten from A Day for Daisies.  I should have colored it in black & white like my own little angel, but decided to go with a yellow tabby instead.  Apparently, my decision didn't hurt Brady's feelings as he is asleep on the chair beside me.  lol  I am entering this in A Day for Daisies Challenge #74-Use A Die Cut.

I colored her (she looks like a "her" to me) with Copic YR31 and finished up with Prismacolor pencils. I used Memory Box Corner Bow, Spellbinder Gold Labels Four, & Memory Box Sonora Rose dies. The paper was from Lily Bee Design.

If you haven't stopped at A Day for Daisies, you should.  They have some absolutely gorgeous digi's.

Enjoy your week!  I hope it is "purrfect!"

Lovely in Lavender

Happy Monday!

Where did the weekend go?  And why do they go so quickly when the week goes so slowly!

Tonight I have a get well/cheer up card to share.  The image is from  A Day for Daisies and I colored her with Prismacolor brush markers & pencils.  The dies were from Spellbinders, Magnolia, and Cheery Lynn.  You know how I love my dies!

I have a lot of images colored up & waiting to be made into cards so I thought I had better get busy & get them done before I color any more.  Who knows what I will come up with when I go thru my pile of possibilities!

Have a great week! Catch you later.

Back to basics

Hi, all!

Well, tonite it is back to basics for me!  And that means a "girl" card!  I can only do so many guy cards without going into withdrawal & only some lace or pearls or glitter will get me happy again.  So this digi from A Day for Daisies is perfect for a quick "fix" isn't it?

I colored her with my Prismacolor brush markers and used some of my favorite Spellbinder dies to mat her. A few pearls for her hair and she was done.  These aren't usually colors I use a lot, but I decided to get out of my comfort zone (aka: rut) and try something different for a change.  I think we all have favorite colors and it is so easy to always reach for those.

Have a wonderful Friday! Summer is slipping away so quickly.  Enjoy it while you can!
Catch you later.

The dreaded guy card...

Hi, all!
Yup, it's that time again.  Time to share another dreaded "guy" card!  Fess up, everyone!  You all hate making them as much as I do!  No glitter, no lace, no cutesy little touches......Yuk! ha ha So here we have it.

This was an image from Inkadinkado.  I need a card for someone who lives on a farm & I'm hoping if he doesn't actually have horses, he at least likes them!  This is a big change from the color I usually love in a card.  Somehow all the neutral colors seem to work best for it.  I added a corner bow from Memory Box. I colored it with pencils & gamsol.

Have a great week! I'll be back with something definitely more "me" the next time!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

I couldn't let yesterday's thank you card pass for my July 4th offering.  I had to post something a bit more in keeping with this wonderful day.  So, in honor of this country's birthday, I have another Sassy Cheryl digi for you.  I'm entering it in her Challenge #173-Red, White & Blue.  It is colored with Prismacolor brush markers & I matted it with Spellbinder dies.  The stars are from Memory Box except for the large one which is from Nellie Snellen.

                                                               God Bless America!!

What was I thinking!

Hi,

First of all, let me wish all of you a wonderful (and safe) 4th!  What a blessing we live where we do! As you are watching your fireworks tomorrow night, remember to say a thank you to all those who gave their all that we can live in a free society.  Which of course, should lead me into a patriotic card, right?  What was I thinking!  Apparently, I was thinking about the new embossing folder I am in love with & wanting to try it out. lol  So.....instead of a patriotic card (which I DID make) tonite we have a thank you card.

So, although pink isn't exactly a patriotic color.....thanks to all who made this a free country.

The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug & is called Organdy Stripe. I also used Spellbinder dies to mat the sentiment & for the border.

HAPPY 4TH!!!!
