The "not so nice nurse".....

Hello, again!

Are you ready for a silly get well card?  Well, this will certainly qualify.  She looks ready to do some serious damage with that large needle, doesn't she?

I think we have all had an experience with someone like this gal!  Most of them are super wonderful & amazing, but there always seems to be one that isn't when you have to visit the hospital.

QKR Stampede Challenge - Cut It Up! (use cutting, punches or dies on your card)

Hello, again!

Where did September go!!  The days go so quickly anymoe, don't they?

The QKR Stampede challenge for this week is "Cut it Up!"  (Use cutting, punches or dies on your card).  Of course, being the queen of dies, I had to grab a couple of my favorites!  I probably should have grabbed some punches....I'm sure I have personally bought a wing on Martha Stewart's house with all the punches I have with her name on them!

I chose digi # 12905 - R.I.P. for my card to get a headstart on Halloween cards!

I love this image! I can't tell if this little ghost is hiding because he is scared or if he is just waiting to jump out & scare someone!  Either way, he is adorable!

Grab your favorite dies or punches or just fussy cut something to join in on all the fun & you may be the grand prize winner this week!

Enjoy your weekend!  Colder days will be here before we know it!

Leaf Background

Back again!

And as promised, I have a gorgeous leaf background to share today!  This one is Tutti Designs Leaves Background.  And a more beautiful backdrop for a card, I've never seen!

By using a paper that already had leaves of every color variation to cut this out, you end up with a gorgeous background.

See you tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Leaf corners

Happy Hump Day!

I think this Tutti Designs Leaves Corner die is probably one of my all time favorites! Fell in love with it at first sight & loved it even better once I cut it out!

What an elegant & beautiful sympathy card it makes all by itself!  I've already used this die for a birthday card too!

See you tomorrow with the last of our "leaves" dies.

With prayers & deepest sympathy!

Well, we often times need sympathy cards in the fall of the year so I decided this Tutti Designs Acorn Frame would be the perfect frame for my sentiment!  I love how it turned out!

Isn't this a gorgeous die?  And so perfect for so many cards in the fall!
I'll be sharing 2 more dies I fell in love with that are also leaf inspired.  You can never have too many leaf dies!  ha ha

See you tomorrow with the first one.

Fall Birthday!

Hello, again!

What better image for a fall birthday than a beautiful pumpkin!  I love this new die! It's Tutti Designs Fancy Pumpkin and so perfect for anything fall....even a Thanksgiving card!

I cut it from white paper & then used my markers to add the color!  And of course, a coat of Wink of Stella for the finish!  Do love my glitter!!

I'll be sharing some new dies the rest of the week.  They were all so beautiful I just couldn't resist them!  ( I know.....a familiar story!)

See you tomorrow!

Hi, again!

Here it is the last week of September already.  Where did the month go?  I'll keep this post short & sweet!

Today's card is another for the get well donation.  I love this silly cat with his incredible whiskers! He cheers me up just looking at him! And sometimes when you are under the weather, all you can do is hang on for the ride!

Hope your week ahead is a fantastic one!

I'm a little teapot!

Hello & happy Saturday!

Are you enjoying your weekend or are you in need of a cup of tea?  I enjoy tea, but don't drink it as often as I should since I also adore coffee!  Which is my drink of choice! And I drink a lot of it all day....decaffinated, of course!

This is another get well card I made for church.  I had made a ton of them originally, but I stamped cheery messages inside & when I spoke to the gal in charge the other day she told me to leave the inside blank for them to fill.  Oops!  Guess those will have to go to one of the two craft shows I'm doing in October.  I should have waited until I talked to her, but I wanted to get a jump on it while I could.

Enjoy your weekend!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Embossing of Any Kind

Hi, gals!

Are you ready for the QKR Stampede challenge for today?  The theme is "Embossing of any kind" and I'm sure you all have a lot of embossing folders you forget to use.  I grabbed digi # 9410 - Birthday Gator to go with an old birthday embossing folder.

I went with green so it could be used as either a boy card or a girl card.  I'll have to grab that old embossing folder more often as I like it behind the little gator!

Join in with one of your favorites and see if you are the grand winner!

Get Well Soon!

Hello, again!

Are you ready for the weekend to come & just counting the days until it does?  Hopefully, your week has been a good one & that is not the case.

I've volunteered to donate get well cards at church and this is one of the cards I just finished.  There is nothing like a cute critter to make you smile & cheer up! This little guy is adorable & I'm hoping he will have the desired effect on whoever gets him.  I love making cards & if I can spread a little tiny bit of cheer to someone else with one of my cards, I'm happy to do it.

I'll see you tomorrow for the Friday QKR Stampede weekly challenge!

Autumn is coming!

Happy Hump Day!

Are you enjoying the cooler evenings yet?  One of these days it will be cold enough to need the furnace back on.  Yuk!!

How cute is this little gal?  Another Stamping Bella I couldn't resist & especially when she was on sale! Isn't there another commandment that says "Thou shall not pass up a sale?"  ha ha Or maybe it is part of the stamper's creed!

I had a lot of fun with her & her fall leaf dress & mushroom umbrella!

Back tomorrow with a critter!

Let it snow!

Hello, friends!

Back again with a complete change of subject matter from the last few days.

This cute image is another Stamping Bella.  I LOVE their stamps!  And luckily, I had just the perfect backdrop for it with a Memory Box Scattered Snowflake Frame from my stash of Christmas dies.
I adore Christmas and have tons of Christmas stamps and sentiments and an entire basket of nothing but Christmas dies.  They are all neatly organized by category...deer, holly, ornaments, snowflakes, etc. etc. so I can find them easily. It makes Christmas cards so much easier!

I'm changing gears again tomorrow with a totally different holiday!  Stay tuned!

Lovng Care!

Hello, friends!

We all have a need for sympathy cards, but they are never easy to make.  Especially if they are for someone close to us.  I like to keep mine fairly simple and usually go for pastels for some reason. I'm sure you all have your favorite styles too.

I'll be back tomorrow with a snowman for a complete change of pace!

Pretty in pink!

Hello, again!

I love pink! Something about the beauty of the color that speaks to me.  As do most pastel colors, actually.  Or wild bright colors.....I just love color in any shade!

I used a Cheery Lynn Designs French Lattice Small Frame to showcase the beautiful pink. An added sentiment & a beautiful (and flat) flower and it was done. ( Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig and Poppy Stamps Stitched Bloom Trio).

I love the fact this card doesn't require extra postage or a heavily padded envelope to mail!

I'll be back tomorrow with a final sympathy card before we change gears and do something else. Enjoy the rest of your weekend & have a great week ahead!

Sherri

With loving thoughts...

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all had a fabulous week & the weekend is off to a fantastic start! It's hard to believe we are into September already.  The cicada's are already chirping every night & have been for weeks.  Don't they say that means 6 weeks before a hard frost?  I hope I have that really wrong & it is 12 weeks! Lol!

It's so easy to make a sympathy card (or any other card) when you have a beautiful frame die. This Sue Wilson Austrian Collection Background die is the most gorgeous frame you can find.  It not only cuts, but embosses.  And its beautiful enough on its own that all you need to add is just a sentiment.
There are some dies I just look at and know have to come home with me!  This was one of those!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge- Anything Goes

Hi, friends!

The QKR Stampede challenge for today is always the most popular one that we do! The theme is "Anything Goes" and that basically gives you the chance to make a card with any theme you like.
I decided to get a jump on Christmas cards so I grabbed digi # 2906-Cat Present. As a crazy cat lady, I couldn't resist this image!

If any of you have a cat, you know that a box is more irresistible than even catnip to a cat! They immediately jump inside and entertain themselves (and you) for hours! I have spent money on cat toys for my cat, only to have him ignore them and play with the box instead.

See what you can come up with & join in on the fun!  Good luck!!

Oh, be sure to scroll down to my next post today!  It's the 15th of the month, which means it is also time for the Dies R Us Challenge post!

Hugs,

Dies R Us Challenge - Fancy Corners

Hello, friends!

Can you believe that September is half over already!  This summer is just flying by! Well, as usual, it is time for the Dies R Us Challenge today & boy, do I love the theme! Fancy Corners is the theme for this challenge & I knew immediately which die I would choose! Although I have tons of corner dies, this new one that I just got this week is by far my favorite! I fell in love with it on first sight & couldn't wait to get my order in for it! I paired this die (Tutti Designs Leaves Corner) with another new die, Lawn Fawn So Thankful Border Die!  I plan to use this as a Thanksgiving card for my daughter!

Isn't this gorgeous!  I can see so many things I can do with this beautiful corner!  Grab YOUR favorite corner die & see what you can come up with!  You don't want to pass up a chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store! They have hundreds of dies & get new ones in all the time! I can vouch for that!! I keep telling myself I have all the dies I need & then they post new ones & I'm like an alcoholic at a wine tasting festival!  ha ha Aren't they just way too addictive?

Be sure you check out the daily Dies R Us Inspiration blog too while you are headed to the Dies R Us Challenge blog!

Be sure you scroll down to my second post for today!  It is also Friday so I will be posting the current challenge at QKR Stampede today as well.

With sympathy!

Hi, ladies!

The week is almost over & I'm sharing a sympathy card today.  Nobody likes to make them or receive them, but sometimes it has to be...

I love this flower border because it is also a die that embosses.  The die I used for this was Memory Box Bloomington Border.  You can still get a gorgeous flower without the extra bulk of trying to mail dimensional flowers.  I'm always on the lookout for dies like that!

Join me again tomorrow for the QKR Stampede weekly challenge blog!

Hope you are "re-covered"

Hi, everyone!

Have you ever needed a quick get well card for someone?  Well, this one is super fast & still quite cute.

I love the sentiment of this stamp set.  The inside says "Hope you are fully re-covered".....perfect for just about any illness or injury.  Love the play on words!

Of course, I had to grab some polka dot paper to go with the chair!  And my favorite corner punch for accent!

Tomorrow I'm changing gears again & will be back with a sympathy card!

Wedding Bliss

Hello, friends!

Well, our final wedding card today & then I'm off to share all kinds of different things with you for the rest of the week! I really, really enjoyed making all of these wedding cards though.

I went with a cream & black theme for this one.  Another card that too much longer because of the lacy frame.  The frame is from Sue Wilson Noble Collection -Ornate Pierced Squares & the Mr & Mrs is also a Sue Wilson die.  The beautiful stitched heart is a Cheapo Die & the beautiful corner is from Tutti Designs Fancy Heart Corner.  I would have preferred a pastel color or even white, but the gal ordering the cards suggested some be cream & black.  It's still pretty, but I would have loved it better in another color.

See you again tomorrow with a cute & simple get well card.

Sherri

Here comes the bride!

Hello, again!

I hope you aren't tired of wedding cards yet! We still have one more to go yet tomorrow! I have to confess, I had a lot of fun making them & it was a welcome change from the get well & birthday cards I had been working on.

This card was another that took quite awhile.  The outside frame is Sue Wilson Italian Collection-Umbria.  Another die I adore!  The couple is a Die-Versions Whispers-Wedding Canopy die.

I love, love, love making special cards with lacy frames! It just steps them up a notch! Hopefully, the happy couple who gets this one will think so too!

Back tomorrow with my last wedding card!

Sherri

Ahh.....love!

Hello, again!

Wedding cards are so much fun!  I love making them & wondering if the happy couple will save them or just toss them away once the big day is over.  I think most people save them, at least for a few years!

This card took quite a bit longer to make than the one from yesterday! But I love the results, so it was worth it.  The outside frame & beautiful scrollwork is from Marianne Designs Anja's Frilly Square. One of my all-time favorite dies! The beautiful doves are from Impression Obsession's Love Doves and the couple are from Die Namites Wedding Portrait (which actually has a floral wreath around it, but I cut that part off).

Back tomorrow with yet another version of a wedding card!

Sherri

Mr. & Mrs.

Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start & you are going to have a fun two days! As I mentioned Thursday, I had a friend request for several wedding cards & this is the first of 4 I made for her.

This was an easy card to make.  The beautiful die literally makes it for you! If you ever need something simple & quick, this is the way to go.

I'll be back tomorrow with another wedding card.  Until then, enjoy your weekend! These beautiful days won't last too much longer & it will be cold weather before you know it!

Sherri

What a great theme!!!  I love to do cards with fall leaves so this was right up my alley! I chose digi # 15901- Scarecrow & sunflowers.

I love, love this image! How cute is this little guy and with the sunflowers beside him....wow!

Hop on over to QKR Stampede and join in on all the fun! You could be the lucky winner of some great new digital stamps!

Wedding shower

Hi, gals!

I had a friend who needed some wedding cards & a shower card so I will be sharing those in the next couple of days.  Here is the shower card I came up with.

The shower colors were white & black so I went with this .  Grabbed some of my favorite dies & my favorite corner punch and it was all done.

I'll see you tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

A huge thank you!

Happy Hump Day!

Your week is half over!  I hope it has been a great one so far!

Today I'm sharing another Stamping Bella stamp with a great sentiment!

It's always nice to send flowers as a thank you, but this way you can still send your flowers with a card!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Birthday!

Hello, friends!

Are you a big lover of cake like I am?  And if it is chocolate cake.......say no more!  Notice I just had to color this up as a chocolate cake!  That is ALWAYS my choice when MY birthday comes around! I got those chocolate loving genes from my mom!  And she passed them on to both me and my sister! ha ha

This is another Stamping Bella stamp!

I'm afraid I would have sliced a much bigger piece of that delectable looking cake than she did!

I'll see you tomorrow with a thank you card!

Sherri

Happy Monday!

Are you a lover of birthdays like this happy little mouse?  Looks like he is ready to PARTY!! I've had this stamp a long, long time & decided it was time he saw some ink again.

I decided this "gift" background was perfect for this guy and with the addition of a little glitter, he was ready to go!

Enjoy your week!!

Dies R Us Challenge - Handmade Flowers

Hello, friends!

And happy September!!  Can you believe it is here already?  It won't be long before the leaves begin to turn & we see all the beautiful fall colors!

Since today is the first of the month, we have our awesome Dies R Us Challenge and the theme for this one is "Handmade Flowers" so I am expecting a lot of fabulous cards from everyone! I have to admit, I usually use flat flowers just because they are easier to mail, but making the dimensional flowers for this challenge made me fall in love with them all over again.  They are really easy to make & boy, do they give your card that "WOW" factor!  I'll be using more of them from now on!

The dies I used on this one are:  Impression Obsession Spiral Daisy, Cherry Lynn Small Gardenia,
Spellbinders Ribbon Banner Labels, Poppy Stamps Sylvan Sprig & Sue Wilson Noble Collection-Ornate Pierced Design.

Grab your favorite flower dies & join in on all the fun!  You could be the winner of a fabulous gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store!  The most amazing shopping place on the entire internet!  (Not that I'm predjudiced!) ha ha

Happy crafting, everyone!!

Hugs,
Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Wild West

Happy September, everyone!

This will be a really busy day as I have two posts to share today instead of just one.  Be sure to scroll down to see the Dies R Us Challenge post which should follow this one directly if I do it right!
Today's post is our weekly QKR Stampede challenge and the theme this week is "Wild West" which is not a theme I use a lot, but I have to admit it was a lot of fun!  There are a lot of darling stamps on the QKR Stampede store site which would be perfect!  I went with Digi # 18001-Bucking Bronc.

I had a lot of western dies in my stash, so I grabbed these 3.  What a surprise that I had western dies! ha ha  Truthfully, I have everything from frogs, mailboxes, hydrants, and coffee cups to wagons & lobsters.  You just never know when you might need a frog...or a lobster!  ha ha

Get over to the QKR Stampede blog and enter your own western card! You might be the winner of some new digi stamps!

Enjoy your weekend!  And don't forget to keep scrolling for the Dies R Us challenge to follow!

Hugs,
Sherri
