Cupid's Coming!

Happy New Year!!!

It's hard to believe the year is over already & another one is about to begin.  My prayer for all of us is that it will be a better one & be filled with many blessings!

I'm sure some of you will be going out tonight to ring in the new year, but I'm happy to curl up with the Kindle & read a good book while I munch on goodies!  A sure sign of old age, I'm sure!  ha ha

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to start thinking ahead to the Valentine's you will be making.  I'm starting with a Penny Black cupid stamp I've had for years.  It's a cat, of course!  And one of my favorites!
I used only 2 dies on this & that was all it needed to frame it perfectly.  Cheery Lynn Sweetheart Frame and Impression Obsession Cupids are all you need for this card.

I've been working on several Valentine cards today & will share them in my next few posts.  Dies R Us has some absolutely amazing dies which make it so simple to create just incredible cards.  Check it out!

And don't forget that a new Dies R Us Challenge begins tomorrow on the Challenge Blog.  Head over there to join in the fun & for a chance to win a gift voucher to the store!

Stay safe tonight!!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 119 - Santa or Snowman

Hello, everyone!

Are you completely exhausted from the hustle and bustle of the holiday?  I hope Santa found you all & that you got to enjoy the holiday with family and friends.  I imagine, like me, you LOVE Christmas, but are also a tiny, tiny bit glad when it is over & things can get back to normal again.  Well, this may be the perfect time to take a few minutes for yourself, pull out some of those new goodies that Santa left you and join in on this weeks challenge at QKR Stampede.  The challenge theme this week is Santa or Snowman so you have tons of options!  I chose digi # 13004 Winter Friends for my card.

I loved this little snowman and his friend.  This card could easily be used as either a Christmas card or even as a thank you after Christmas is over.   I added some holly corner dies which don't show up as well in the photo as they do in person.

Get your thinking caps on & decide what you are going to enter this week! Go to our challenge here or the QKR Stampede store here!

If I don't chat with you before next week, have a safe and fun New Year's eve!  I'll be staying home with my feet up, munching on snacks, reading my Kindle or working on cards!  Lol

Happy New Year!

Thank You Santa!

Merry Christmas, dear friends!

I hope you have all your shopping done, & are ready to relax & enjoy the blessings of family & friends for a couple of days.  I know all of my stamper & card making friends are hoping Santa has brought them some new toys (or at least a gift card to buy some new toys!).

Today I am sharing a quick thank you card which is super easy to make & will really make anyone who gets it feel special.  It's made with just 3 dies:  Memory Box Puffy Clouds, Impression Obsession Plane With Banner & Cheery Lynn Winter Neighborhood Border, all of which can be found at Dies R Us!

I got so caught up in this card, I made it in several different versions & am STILL making new ones! My daughter wanted 10 once she saw it!  I'm including some of the versions just so you see how fun it is!

If you are doing thank you cards for other occasions, you could do the houses in different colors, snip off the trees, etc. to change the entire look of the card.

I want to wish all of you a wonderful, happy, healthy & blessed Christmas!  I am so grateful for all of you & so many of you have become my "second" family!  Merry Christmas!!!!

Hugs,
Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge # 118 - Lots of Layers

Hi, again!

Well,  the countdown to Christmas is on, isn't it?  I hope you have had a great week & have found some time to work on all the projects you wanted to finish before Christmas.  Hopefully, you still have a few minutes to stop & join us in this weeks challenge at QKR Stampede.  The challenge theme this week is "Lots of Layers" and I chose digi # 15910 Bundled Up for my card.

I loved this little guy!  All bundled up against the winter with so many clothes on he can probably barely move!  ha ha  How many times did we bundle our own kids up just like that before sending them outside? This brought back a lot of happy memories.

Take a few minutes to unwind, relax and send us your card for the latest challenge.  You may be the winner of some new stamps just in time for Christmas!

If I don't chat with you before next week, have a wonderful & blessed Christmas!  Stay warm & safe & take a few minutes to reflect on all your blessings & the true meaning of the holiday.

Merry Christmas!

Fast & Easy!!

Hi, everyone!

Wow, there is only a week left until Christmas Eve!  Are you one of those people like my daughter who has been completely done for weeks or are you like me & still working on last minute things?  If you still need last minute Christmas cards I have just the thing for you today!  It's fast, easy & beautiful!  And uses only two dies!

The dies used are Poppy Stamps Blooming Poinsettia and Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves, and both can be found at the Dies R Us Store! (Along with hundreds of other "yummy" things!)

As a side note, this would also make a great "Thank You" card by just substituting the Merry Christmas sentiment with a Thank You sentiment!

Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Inspiration & Challenge Blogs too!  We just started a new challenge on the 15th & you might be the winner of a gift voucher!

See you again soon!

Time for one more card!

Hi, friends!

Well, we are getting down to the home stretch for making & sending Christmas cards, aren't we?  I couldn't help sharing just one more with you today!   The Dies R Us Challenge which starts today is "Anything Goes" and I just had to share one more card!  I adore all the dies I used in this card & if your cards are already done for this year, you might want to think about making it for next year! The dies I used for this card are as follows: Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Background, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Outline & Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves.

I wanted you to see a closeup of this gorgeous poinsettia! Combined with my favorite leaf die, it makes quite a statement on a card!

I know you are all busy getting ready for Christmas, but I'm hoping you will take a few minutes to join in the challenge for a chance to win a gift voucher!  Wouldn't that be awesome!  Who has to wait for Santa?

And gals, if you are lucky enough to get gift cards from Santa, don't forget all the wonderful shopping at Dies R Us!  If you have been checking our daily posts at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, you probably have a huge wish list of things you want!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 117 - Trim the Tree

Hi, all!

Another week gone already!  If you are like me you are hoping you get everything done before Christmas gets here!  And if you are like me, you are probably still working on getting those Christmas cards done.  The challenge this week at QKR Stampede will help you with that AND give you a chance to win some free digi stamps!  What a deal!!!  This week's challenge is "Trim the Tree" and what a perfect theme for your Christmas cards!  I chose digi # 16402 Tangled Santa and #9407 Decorated Tree for my card.

I LOVE this card!  It turned out better than I hoped when I first got the idea.  I fussy cut my Santa & put him in front of the adorable tree. You can't see it in the photo, but I used a lot of Wink of Stella on it too for some extra glitter & shine.  The die I used for the frame is one of my favorites, Spellbinder Mystical Embrace and I used Spellbinders Elegant Ovals for the tree die. Both of these can be found at Dies R Us.

Stop on over to QKR Stampede & check out all the great stamps! They carry both regular and digi so there is always something to please everyone!  Then head on over to the challenge & join in on all the fun!

Until next time,
Sherri

Silent Night!

Happy Hump Day, Ladies!

It's time to share another Dies R Us posting with you today!  I know it is getting down to "crunch" time as far as card making goes.  At this point, you don't have a lot of time and using dies is not only the fastest way to go, but often the most beautiful.  I used only 3 dies for this card: Impression Obsession Small Deer, Impression Obsession Fir Trees & Impression Obsession Small Snowflakes.  All of these can be found at Dies R Us!  (Along with so many other fabulous dies you will have a hard time deciding which ones you have to have first!)

This is a closeup of the snowflake I created using just 3 of the 5 dies in the set.  I also used a Wink of Stella pen on the snowflake and the white trees for extra shine & sparkle!

Be sure you check out the Dies R Us Inspiration and Challenge blogs!  The Inspiration blog will give you daily ideas and the challenge blog is a great place to enter your cards for a chance to win a gift voucher to the store!

Happy crafting, ladies!!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 116 - Rainbow

Happy Friday!

I hope you had a terrific week & your weather is good, or at least getting better!  It's time for the weekly QKR Stampede challenge again & this week's theme is "Rainbow" so you will have to put your thinking caps on!  We have all been in the Christmas, fall/winter mode for awhile so I had to think a bit before I came up with my own design!  I chose digi # 15805 - Stork.  I fell in love with this bird!  And now that I've made a card with him, I can see him becoming my favorite baby card digi!  What do you think?

I have to admit it took me most of the day yesterday to come up with this card.  I tried numerous dies for the background & none of them were just what I wanted.  And at first I planned to put the rainbow kind of behind the square, but that didn't look right either. I finally opted for the rainbow on top of the background die and covered the "ends" of the rainbow with clouds.  I have another stork already colored up in pink and think I will do some in mint green or yellow too. This is the second stork digi I have from QKR & if you need baby cards, they have adorable stamps!

Are you ready to put your thinking cap on now & come up with a rainbow themed card for the newest challenge?  Good luck!! You may be the next winner!

Catch you later,
Sherri

"Whatcha" Up To?

Hi, gals!

As the post title says, "Whatcha" up to?   I bet you are busy decorating your house, working on Christmas projects and wondering how you are going to get everything done before Christmas aren't you?  Me too!  ha ha  And I'm retired, so I'm supposed to have more time now, right?   Nope!  I seem to be as short on time as you are.

If you are looking for ideas for Christmas cards, here is an easy one.  The adorable digi from Sassy Cheryl doesn't take a lot of time to color up & it is so cute you can't believe it!  Add some fabulous dies from Dies R Us and presto!  You have a great Christmas card in no time!

The dies I used on this are:  Impression Obsession Pine Branch, Impression Obsession Small Snowflakes & Impression Obsession Fir Trees.  All of these dies are perfect for any of your Christmas cards!

Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Challenge for a chance to win a gift voucher!  Santa LOVES them! And so do I!!  They also have gift certificates so be sure to add those to your gift list!

I'll be back shortly with more ideas.  Enjoy the rest of your week & don't forget to check out the great ideas our other designers have too!

QKR Stampede Challenge# 115 - Anything But A Card!

Hello again!

Is everyone still groaning with all the food you ate yesterday?   I LOVE getting together with family and friends anytime, but there is some so special about Thanksgiving, isn't there?  It's a time to sit & think about all the riches we have (and I'm NOT speaking of monetary riches) and the blessings we have been given.  My grandmother used to say she was "rich"......NOT  "wealthy" and then she would smile & say "there is a difference, you know"  & I would hear her tell me how rich she was in all that REALLY mattered.  So I hope your day was "rich" with blessings!

On to our challenge! The QKR Stampede challenge this week is "Anything But A Card" and boy, did this one stump me for awhile!  I'm so used to doing mostly cards, that I confess to having a bit of panic wondering what I could come up with.  The answer was right in front of me.....literally, right in front of me! I looked at the empty can of peanuts I had just finished & was going to throw away & decided it would be a perfect container for a gift of candy at Christmas!  I've been trying to eat less candy & eat things that are healthier for you & nuts seem to fill that bill.  I may have to eat a lot more of them now, because the container turned out so cute, I plan to make quite a few to give out now!  And I know exactly what I am filling them with too! My new favorite candy......(yes, I know I said I wasn't going to eat as much....I didn't say I was stopping!)......Werther's Original Creamy Caramel Filled Hard Candies! If you have never tried them, DON'T!!!!!!! The outside hard candy layer is really thin & melts almost immediately & then you get the inside creamy caramel which is the best I've ever tasted! They are awesome and addictive!  Heed my warning!!  ha ha   Anyway, my cute little container was done with digi # 22301 Winter Moose.  Isn't he just adorable?

The lid was already green, which looked pretty much like Christmas !  You can't see the other side of the sentiment (Merry Chris-moose to you) but there is a cute fir tree there. One word of warning, however, be sure the person you are giving this container to has NO peanut allergies & is aware that the container once held peanuts!  There are a lot of people who are affected by peanut allergies!
This is the top of the peanut can now.  How cute is that moose?  I can see him on Xmas tags, Xmas cards, more containers......Hop on over to the store & see what you can find!  And be sure to join in on all the fun from this week's challenge too!  There are some really crafty ladies out there & I can't wait to see what we get!

Happy Crafting!

How "Tweet" ....

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Bet you are all frantically running around right now getting last minute pies baked and getting ready for the big Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow aren't you?  I can smell the turkey cooking just thinking about it!  YUM!

Once the dinner is done, though, you are going to go into panic mode when you realize just how close Christmas actually is!  If you are like me, you have been working on cards for awhile now, but are nowhere near done.  Here is my latest card to share for today's Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.

I used a cute digi from Dearie Dolls for my image and the following dies: Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two, Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco B & Impression Obsession Fir Trees.  If you are short on time, you can easily add another die cut or just a sentiment to the oval.

Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Challenge Blog once tomorrow's dinner is over & you are sitting around relaxing!  And treat yourself to an early Christmas present by visiting the Dies R Us Store & getting some of their fabulous dies, embossing folders or stamps!  They also have gift certificates, gals!  The perfect gift to give or to ask Santa for yourself!

Catch you again soon!  Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm "SNOW" in love with you!

Hi, gals!

Just a quick post today.  I want to share another darling Sassy Cheryl snowman with you.  This one is giving some love to his little puppy friend.  I printed this digi on some of the same paper I used for the background & fussy cut his hat & scarf to match.

The dies I used on this card were Impression Obsession Pine Branch and Spellbinders Heirloom Rectangle. Both of these can be found at Dies R Us!

I hope you are having a great week!  Catch you again tomorrow!

QKR Stampede Challenge #114 - Bling It On!

Hi, everyone!

I hope you have had a wonderful week!  I'm sure everyone is getting busy with preparations for Thanksgiving next week, but I'm sure a lot of you are still sneaking in some time to work on cards, aren't you?  Yup!  Me too!  Once you get that addiction.......ha ha

Today's challenge at QKR Stampede is a fun one!  It's "Bling It On!"  I know how much we all love to add some bling to our cards so this should be a challenge everyone wants to participate in.  I decided to do a Christmas card for mine, killing two birds with one stone! The digi I chose was #9802 Fresh Cut Tree. Have you ever seen a cuter beaver!

After I colored him with my Prismacolor brush markers, I fussy cut him out so I could create the exact scene I had in my mind.  I actually debated on whether to put him "inside" in a room setting or outside & my friends who were stamping with me the day I colored him voted on "outside" so this is the result.  I had so much fun coloring him, I'm thinking I may still do an "inside" version too!

I hope I've given YOU some ideas and got you thinking about things you might do for this fun challenge! Head on over to the store too!  Even if you decide not to enter the challenge, you don't want to miss all the adorable digi's they have!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving next week, and try not to eat too much!

Dear Santa!

Happy Hump Day!

Today I'm sharing a Dear Santa card that I made with some beautiful embossing folders & dies that are available at Dies R Us.  We all know about the awesome selection of dies, embossing folders & stamps that they carry, but Sizzix has several sets that contain both embossing folders AND matching dies!  What more could a gal ask for!!   I used Sizzix Ornament Set #2 for the card I'm sharing today.

This is a shot of the beautiful embossed front with a Mo Manning digi image in the center.

I also embossed the inside of the card as well.  The embossing you get with these folders is gorgeous & highly detailed.

This is a closeup of the detail .

And this is a shot of the 2 embossing folders AND the 4 dies that come in this set!  You are only limited by your own imagination!

Head on over to Dies R Us now & check out all the other goodies they have!  And don't forget the daily Inspiration Blog and the twice monthly Challenge blogs either! QKR Stampede Challenge # 113 - I'm Thankful For...

Happy Friday!

Time for another QKR Stampede Blog Challenge!  The theme for this week is "I'm Thankful".....boy, was this hard to decide what to choose for my card.  I finally settled on friends!  I am thankful for so very many things in my life....God, family, health, friends, (furry family), living in the USA....the list is endless!  I have been blessed with so many truly wonderful friends in my life.  Some of them, I have never met except through my blog and the emails we exchange, but nevertheless, they are treasured friends. Some of them I see every week and they are almost like additional sisters.  So to celebrate friends, I chose digi # 23502 Best Friends & #17014 Friends Bring Memories.

Now it's YOUR turn!  Head on over to the QKR Stampede blog & join in with a card showing what YOU are thankful for!  I can't wait to see what you choose!

Happy 90th

Hi, again!

Well, today I'm going from Christmas cards to birthday cards!  I just finished a couple of cards for my uncle who is turning 90 on the 16th.  He is dad's "younger" brother!  ha ha  His daughter is having a big party for him & wants all of us to send cards.  I made two, one for me to send & one for dad.

This is the one that I will give him.  I found a great sentiment for the inside too. This image is from Bugaboo.
I'm not sure what happened to this one.  The red just didn't photo well for some reason, but this is the one that I made for Dad to send. The image is from Mo Manning.  The inside message says "Don't worry about age. Old will always be 10 years older than we are! Happy Birthday!"  I thought that would be perfect since Dad is 92!

Catch you again tomorrow! Have a great day!

A White Christmas!

Hi, gals!

Well, it's Wednesday again & time for another post from Dies R Us!  Today, I'm sharing an all white (well, actually an off-white) Christmas card!  I love the look of all white or all cream cards.  Don't get me wrong, I love the brightly colored cards too, but there is something so beautiful about the white ones.

Here is my card for today.  I used only 3 dies for this card:  Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poinsettia, Impression Obsession Twig Wreath and Cheery Lynn "Merry Christmas" Sentiments.

Here is a close up of the beautiful poinsettia!

I made this a 6" square card and used some gold card stock for matting.  You can see all the actual details on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  Be sure you go there daily, as we have some fantastic designers who will leave you with some great ideas for your own cards!

Don't forget to check out the Dies R Us Store too!  You know how addicted to dies I am and I get them all at Dies R Us!  They have the best selection, the lowest prices AND the lowest shipping rates of anyone!!!!

Have a great week & I'll be back with some more ideas later!

The Moose is Loose!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope everyone has remembered to vote already or will do it on the way home from work tonight!  Mid-term elections aren't as exciting as Presidential elections, I know, but they are still important!!  If you don't vote, you can't complain about the outcome!  Lol  I voted early, so I CAN complain!  And loudly! ha ha

Today I have a fast card to share.  I had colored up this cute moose digi from QKR Stampede to use on something else & thought I would grab him for a card instead.  I recently got a gorgeous snowflake die from Impression Obsession that looked so beautiful in the photo I knew it would be my favorite when it came.  Well, I was wrong!  It IS beautiful, but it cuts out so many fine layers that putting it together again on a card takes just forever.  I've resorted to using just parts of the inside by themselves or just the negative snowflake that is left when you cut it out.  Which is what I did here! When I get more time, I will share some cards done with the whole snowflake!

For the border, I pulled out some of my neglected Martha Stewart punches!  With all the beautiful dies available now, I don't use these as often as I did.  I'm going to remedy that, however, and try to remember to grab them more often.

Have a wonderful day!  I'll see you tomorrow with another Christmas card for Dies R Us!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 111 - Three's a Crowd

Happy Halloween!

I hope all of you are ready for the trick or treaters that will be pounding on your door tonight!  I know I am! I love Halloween!  Of course, that could be because it involves candy!  ha ha

Well, we also have a new challenge at the QKR Stampede Blog today to celebrate too!  This is challenge # 111 - Three's a Crowd!  Just use 3 of something for your entry & you may be the big winner!  What do you have to lose?

I decided to go with digi # 13606 - Caroling as my post for today.

Who could resist these happy carolers with their huge smiles?  I couldn't!

Stop & join us this week!  You won't be sorry & could find yourself the new winner of some fabulous digi stamps of your choice!

I'll be back soon with something new.  Until then, happy crafting!

Mother & Child

Hi!

I should be cleaning or working on Christmas cards, but I decided to take a break & post a couple of baby cards instead.  I got a new die a couple of weeks ago that I think will be a perfect die for a baby card (or even a mother's day card) and decided to play with it.  Here are the results!

I kept the background colors neutral instead of going with pink or baby boy blue so I could use them for either a boy or a girl.  Both were easy to do and I only needed 2 dies. Frantic Stamper "Mother & Child" Card Panel and Spellbinders "Reflective Moment" which can be purchased at Dies R Us!  I've got some other ideas for these dies, but need to concentrate on my Christmas cards for now!

Check back tomorrow for a new post for QKR Stampede! Until then, have a great week!

I've used several dies on this card.  Impression Obsession Fir Trees, Spellbinder Decorative Labels 27, Spellbinders Large Octogons,  and Memory Box Pinecone Corner, all of which can be found at Dies R Us! One-stop shopping & the lowest shipping rates anywhere!

Don't forget the twice monthly challenges at Dies R US too!  A new challenge starts on the first and again on the fifteenth of each month with a gift certificate as the winner's prize!

QKR Stampede Challenge #110 - Under/By the Sea

Hi, gals!

Are you ready for a change of pace?  We have been concentrating on Halloween for the past couple of weeks, but today's QKR Stampede challenge is "Under/By the Sea" & I know you will come up with some awesome entries!  For my card, I decided to go with "frozen" sea water. LOL!  This adorable penguin is digi # 7101 Ice Fishing and I couldn't resist him! Check out the other cuties at the QKR Stampede store!

I thought he would be a darling Christmas card and it's certainly getting time to start thinking about those too!  I used some dies I just got from a company that was new to me, Sweet Dixie Dies.  Dies R Us is carrying them now & they were the perfect compliment to this digi!

Hop on over to the QKR Stampede Blog & join in for a chance to win your own digi stamps! What do you have to lose?  It's a ton of fun & you could be the next winner!

Time to work on Christmas cards!  So many cards, so little time!  ha ha

The Star of The Show!

Hi, everyone!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Melissa!!  I have to wish my daughter a Happy, Happy, Birthday before I do another thing! I don't know anyone more deserving of a wonderful birthday!!  As far as I am concerned, SHE is the star of the show!

We also have another Star of the Show today too, however, and that is this adorable snowman by Sassy Cheryl!  I fell in love with him the minute I saw him & have already made 2 cards with him.

How can anyone resist this smiling face? I think snowmen are my favorite subjects for Christmas cards!

All of the dies I used on this card can be found at the Dies R Us Store!  One stop shopping, gals!  And the lowest shipping anywhere!   Here are the dies:  Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees, Taylored Expressions Picket Fence, Memory Box Beloved Stars, and Spellbinders Marvelous Squares

If you haven't gone over to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog to check out the current challenge, please do!  Right now the challenge is "Halloween" and you stand a chance to win a great gift certificate to the store!

Catch you later!

Oh, Happy Day!

Hi, everyone!

Yes, I'm back again!  I colored two Sassy Cheryl digi snowmen yesterday & decided to share this one on my blog today.  In real life, the background paper is a perfect match to the colors I used for him, but for some reason, it didn't photograph that way!  I would never claim to be a good photographer, but this was ridiculous!  ha ha

The snowflake & scarf are actually turquoise, not bright neon blue!  At least you get the general idea!

I only used one die on this card.  Sweet Dixie Snowflake Corner (which comes with the corner AND the snowflake!)  You can find this die at Dies R US!

Back tomorrow with something that DID photograph well!  lol

Happy Monday!

Hi, everyone!

It has been a busy weekend & I have been trying to play catch up with some things I got behind on.  You all know how THAT is!  Hopefully, I can get a lot done the next two days as I'm having some work done on my car & will be without "wheels" for a couple of days.  Not to worry, though!  I put in a good stock of "munchies" to be sure I didn't run out! Plenty of treats for Brady AND me!  ha ha   If I grab a snack, somehow he thinks HE has to have one!  You can't distract him with the laser light either. He has to have an actual edible treat!

I thought I would share a baby card I made yesterday with one of my new dies.  I love this rocking horse and just had to have it the minute I saw it!  He is a Di-Namites die and I really love this brand!  They cut perfectly every time & as an added bonus, they are made in the USA!  Check them out at Dies R Us along with all the other goodies they carry! They have a lot of dies now that are made in the USA & all of them are fantastic!

Doesn't he make a cute baby card?  Easy, peasy......just cut the dies & paste!

Well, gals, I'm off to work on some Christmas cards after I finish up one more birthday card.

Have a great week!

QKR Stampede Challenge # 109 - The Witch Is In

Friday again!

Where do the days go?  The days are getting colder (and shorter) and fall is definitely in the air!  Which gives you a little nudge to get your Halloween cards done, doesn't it?  This week's QKR Stampede challenge #109 is "The Witch Is In" and if that isn't a great idea for a Halloween card, I don't know what is!  Here is the frightfully delightful "witch" I chose.

I fell in love with this adorable witch and her jack-o-lantern friend. She is digi# 13605- Out Riding.
She is just so darned cute, you can't be scared of her!  ha ha

Head on over to the QKR Stampede blog to join in on all the fun & win yourself some new digi's!
I can't wait to see what everyone enters for this one!  It should be a hoot seeing all the witches you come up with!

I'm off to work on more cards.  Catch you again later!

Double Fun Today!

Hi, everyone!

Welcome to a really fun post today!  As you can see from the title of today's post, we are going to have a DOUBLE dose of fun today!  Why??  Well, my  normal post day for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog is on Wednesday and my post day for the Dies R Us Challenge Blog is on the 15th of each month.  Well......you are ahead of me, aren't you?  Today happens to be Wednesday AND the 15th!  Both blog posts are due so I am combining them!

This first card will be for the Challenge Blog & our theme for this challenge is "Halloween" so I grabbed some of my favorite Halloween dies & a cute witch digi from Sassy Cheryl to come up with this card.

How spooky, right?  I used only two dies on this cutie.  Memory Box Harvest Moon Tree and Taylored Expressions Gothic Window Accessories.  These are my two new "go to" dies for Halloween!

You have until the end of the month to join this fun challenge for a chance to win a great gift certificate to the amazing Dies R Us store!  So work on some of your Halloween cards & kill two birds (or vultures) with one stone! lol

Now, on to the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog posting!  Here is my card for today's inspiration.

Like most of you, I usually make Christmas cards with traditional colors.  The same old red & green we are used to.  Well, I decided if Elvis could sing about a "Blue" Christmas, I could make a card in blue!  If it is good enough for Elvis, who am I to say no!

I used the following dies on this card and all can be purchased at Dies R Us. Spellbinders Labels Twenty, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Outline, Poppy Stamps Small Luxe Poinsettia Background, Poppy Stamps Heart Lattice Background & Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves.

I hope this little bit of inspiration will be enough to have you heading for your craft rooms AND your computers to check out the latest goodies at Dies R Us!

Catch you all later!

It's Your Day!

Hi, again!

And Happy Hump Day!  Your week is half over!  Hopefully, it has been a good one already & you are finding some extra time to work on all those cards you are so far behind on!  I may be retired, but I'm behind on mine too!  ha ha  Since Dad broke his hip, my days seem to be spent doing a lot more things at his house than at mine.

Today I'm sharing a birthday card.  I think the image is from Sassy Cheryl, but I'll be darned if I can find the file right now.  If I'm wrong, let me know!

I wanted to perk this little image up so I added a lot of lacy details.  I used Magnolia Doohickey Cute Corner, Cheery Lynn Exotic Small Butterflies and Spellbinders Decorative Labels One. All of the dies I used can be purchased at Dies R Us.  They not only have the largest selection I've found anywhere, but their prices and shipping rates are the lowest I've come across!  And you know how I LOVE my dies!!!  I wouldn't steer you wrong!
Check out their store!

Don't forget to check out their daily Dies R Us Inspiration Blog too.  Lots of ideas & samples for you to drool over and once you finish that, head to the Dies R Us Challenge Blog & see what YOU can come up with!

Happy Friday!

It's time to check out the latest challenge at QKR Stampede again!  This week's challenge # 107 is Anything Goes!  This is probably one of the most favorite themes we have as it gives you a chance to just do whatever pleases you.  I decided to go with digi# 18807 Scarecrow & Jack.

I loved this digi & had a lot of fun making it into a fall card with the help of some of my favorite dies, of course!

Head on over to the QKR Stampede blog & join in all the fun!  It's your chance to win some fabulous digi's!
