Feeling beary sick again?

I have a hard time resisting this furry critter.  Who wouldn't love a bear in a fuzzy housecoat & bunny slippers?
This is the "female" version of the sick "boy"  bear I posted a while back from Mo's digis.

The paper is from my stash & I cut her out with a Marianne Design die.

Better get busy so I can still get in a few turns of Words with Friends with my son-in-law, who ALWAYS beats me!  It's depressing! lol

Catch you later!  Have a wonderful Friday!!!!!

Picnic anyone?

Hi,

Well, it isn't warm enough for a picnic yet, but at least it isn't snowing!  So let's pretend it is already picnic weather, shall we?  Tonight I have another birthday card to share.  One of my favorite sets from Paper Trey, I believe.  I paper pieced the picnic basket with some of my favorite gingham paper & colored it with Prismacolor brush markers.

A very simple card, but I like the uncluttered look sometimes.  I seem to struggle when I try getting too fussy!

Have a great Thursday!  Catch you again later!

Think spring!

Hi, everyone!

Today, I'm thinking spring!  It is still cold & there is still snow on the ground, but I'm tired of winter & ready for a nice sunny day & some flowers popping up out of the ground.  So, I've decided to post a spring-like card to set the mood.

Don't you love Sassy Cheryl digi's?  They are so happy!  The paper was from my stash & I added a lace border with one of my old favorite border punches from Martha.

Have a great Wednesday!  Tomorrow is hump day already!  YEAAA!!

Catch you later!

Let's Go For A Ride!

Hi, again!

Tonight I have another birthday card that reminds me of years ago when I had a bike much like this one.  That was well before I ever learned to drive & I bet  I put hundreds of miles on that bike!  This die was one I got for my birthday from my daughter.  I thought it would be the perfect "guy" card!

I cut it out twice.  Once from silver paper & once from red cardstock. The background paper was from a 6 X 6 pad made by Farmhouse Paper Company & the sentiment was from Whipper Snapper.

I hope you had a great Monday & I'll be back tomorrow with something new.

A Birdie Told Me!

Hi, everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Don't they seem to go faster than the week?  I'm guessing you will all agree with me on that.

I've been really busy the past few days & have over 20 new cards to post. (And still working on more)
Tonight I've got a birthday card.  The digi is from Sassy Cheryl.  If you haven't visited her digi store, you need to.  She is also going to start offering her images in rubber for those of you who prefer that form.

I used something different on this card.  If you look closely, I didn't use DP on this card, I used some adhesive backed fabric that my daughter got me & I had been hoarding waiting for just the right time.  It's fun to try out different things from time to time.

I may have to quit working on cards for awhile to watch the Oscars.  Between the gowns & some of the outrageous things people say, it is usually entertaining. But somehow when they ask the MEN who they are wearing & incredibly they actually KNOW, I always want to start laughing.  Most men wouldn't know OR care!

Catch you tomorrow!  Have a great Monday!!

February In Iowa

Hi,
Well, February in Iowa means you have to be ready for any kind of weather.  After a mild winter, we got between 10-11 inches of snow according to the news tonite.  I would have guessed more like 2 feet after clearing the sidewalks & driveway this morning!  But maybe that was because the nice man driving the snowplow like a maniac was going so fast he threw all the snow from the street back into my driveway & buried the entire sidewalk again & I had to start over & do it all a second time!  Why is it that the residential speed limit doesn't apply to snow plows???

Enough complaining!  On with today's card.  I have a pile of new ones I need to photograph, but won't share them until tomorrow.  Today's is a sympathy card.  I used one of my new birthday die sets from Memory Box and the sentiment is from one of my favorite sets of sympathy phrases from Papertrey Ink.  The paper was from Recollections.

Have a wonderful weekend!  Catch you later.

The lull before the storm...

Hi,

It seems the whole country is hunkering down to wait for a storm right now.  Including our little corner of the world.  After a winter of almost no snow, we are now expecting a lot of it over the next week.  Mother Nature can never be accused of being dull, can she?

As promised, I am back with another card tonite.  This is another baby card using an old Stampin Up stamp from my stash.  I added a little glitter to the blanket. Besides several Spellbinder dies, I also used a new bow die from Lil Inker that makes gorgeous paper bows.

I hope you are all having a great week.  Stay safe!  I'll catch you later.

Feeling beary sick?

Well, actually, I'm feeling better!  ha ha  But this could have been me last week.  Between the flu bug & headaches, I probably looked much worse.  But I don't have the cute bunny slippers, so the bear wins!

This little guy is a digi from Mo Manning.  I thought he would be a perfect get well card.

I kept him simple so he could be used for either a guy or gal.  I cut him with a Spellbinder die & mounted him on some of my favorite gingham paper.

I'll be back tomorrow with something totally different.  Catch you later!

Happy Monday!

Hi, again!

Yes, it is Monday again already.  Where did the weekend go?   I think maybe the howling wind outside blew it away!   Like a lot of the nation, we are getting geared up for a major storm about Thursday.  YUK!

Let's think of something better for awhile! How about another baby card?

I have had this Mo Manning digi for some time & it has always been a favorite.  I used Spellbinder dies to do the matting.  The paper was from my stash.

Better get busy while I still have an ounce of energy left!  Catch you tomorrow with something new.

Enjoy your week!

Still Kicking!

Hi,

Yes, I am still alive & kicking!  After last week's bout with the flu bug & some headache issues, I was beginning to wonder if my birthday the week before had been just too much!  I'll be glad to see warmer weather & sunshine again.  I think that would make everyone feel 100% better!

I have a baby card to share today.  Nothing fancy, but I liked the way it turned out.  Browns are not a color I would ordinarily do with a baby card, but the paper in the baby pack I got from the Paper Studio's "Little Safari" was just too cute not to try something with.  I think it would be a perfect little boy card, so hopefully the new mom will too.

I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the border cut out along the bottom.  The baby buggy was a die from Marianne Designs that I adore and the cute little lamb was from a pkg. of Easter lambs I found at Hobby Lobby. To me, that looked much more "baby" than Easter.

Catch you tomorrow!   Have a great Monday!

The flu bug

Sorry to keep everyone waiting to see what I got in my birthday box, but the flu bug hit me hard this weekend & I was home for 2 days.  I did go to work today, but barely made it thru the day.  This is some nasty stuff!  It is every bit as bad as they say it is.

I don't have anything to post tonite, but will tell you what was in my box.  I got some amazing dies that I have already made cards with, some wonderful gingham fabric tape (LOVE this stuff!), a Heartfelt Creations lace stamp I wanted, a new bread knife & cutting board & a Visa gift card.  I made out like a bandit!  I have to say I didn't guess the bread knife or cutting board!  Apparently, my grandson was appalled at my poor quality bread knife at Christmas & thought Grandma needed a new one.  Everyone at their house is a gourmet cook, including him & their knives are "good" ones, so you don't get cut as easily using dull ones. I will now cherish my new knife for the thought behind it!

I'm hoping I feel a little more human tomorrow & can post something.  I have a lot of new things, just no energy to photograph them right now.

Happy Valentine's Day!!  Catch you later.

Is it Friday yet?

Hi,

Is it Friday yet?  I have a big box sitting in my living room that I am not supposed to open until Friday (or at least Thursday night).  Anyone who knows me, knows that I am NOT good at waiting for presents.  Or waiting to GIVE presents, for that matter!  If I buy you something I am really happy with, then I want to give it to you right NOW.  ha ha  And if it is my birthday or Xmas or Mother's Day and I have a package to open, I want to do it NOW!  My family thinks it is all about the instant gratification...I think I just never grew up! lol    So we will all have to wait until Friday to find out what is in the box.

In the meantime, I have a Thank You card to share tonite.  I've been working on some cute baby cards but don't have them photographed yet.  Maybe tomorrow.  This is another Sassy Cheryl digi.

The paper is from Recollections & the ribbon from my stash.  I cut the dies with Spellbinders.

Better get busy.  I'll catch you later!

What's up?

Hi, everyone!

I suppose most of the world is watching the super bowl.  I may be the only one who isn't, but I just can't get into it.  And if you are not watching the super bowl, believe me when I say there isn't much else on television tonite.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We had a surprise snow shower followed by a rain shower last nite that left the roads an icy mess, but today the sun came out & it warmed up nicely.  I have a cute digi from Sassy Cheryl to share tonite.  I loved this one!

Don't you love her sense of whimsy?   I kept it simple & added an evergreen branch from Impression Obsession.  The paper was from my stash.

Have a wonderful week! We are supposed to have temps in the 40's, so I am really looking forward to that!  Last week we had several days with wind chills WAY below zero!  This will be a heat wave!

Catch you all later.
