QKR Stampede Challenge - Up, Up, & Away!

Hello, again!

Once again we have a really fun theme for the weekly QKR Stampede challenge!  "Up, Up & Away" could be so many things!  And if you head to the QKR Stampede store, you will find a ton of stamps just perfect for this theme!  I decided on a cute & quirky turtle.  Digi # 8201 Floating Away.

Poor little guy looks like he may be re-thinking his decision to take to the skies!  Hope his balloon doesn't pop!  This would make a great card for a little boy.  Check out the other great digi stamps at the QKR Stampede store!

Mouse Drops!

Hi, everyone!

We are switching gears from Stamping Bella mice to House Mouse mice for today's card.  What is there about mice that are so cute on cards but so horrific if we see one in real life?  ha ha

I grabbed a border die from Obsession Obsession called "Fancy Cutout Border" for an accent. All of my cards have a layer of Wink of Stella, but it is hard to see from the picture.

I'll be back tomorrow with one of my favorite Hambo stamps!

Another Stamping Bella ....

Hi, again!

As promised, I'm back with another get well card created with a Stamping Bella stamp.  It's actually the same stamp as yesterday's card.  But a change of dies makes a big difference in the final design.

I'm hoping these cute mice will help to cheer someone who is in need of cheering up!

We seem to be on a "mouse" run, as the card tomorrow is made with a House Mouse stamp.

See you then!

Get Well Wishes

Hello, gals!

If memory serves me, I think I mentioned in an earlier post that my daughter & I had been church shopping and had finally found a church we both loved.  Well, they encourage you to become involved in special groups to make friends more easily and apparently, they have a group who sends handmade cards to those who have been in the hospital.  That sounded right up my alley, so I sat down & began making a variety of get well cards.  I'm sure you will tired of seeing them soon, but I had a lot of fun doing them.  And knowing this is one way I can help, makes me feel even better!

Here is my first card to share!

This was done with a cute Stamping Bella stamp I just recently purchased.  I have become a big fan of their stamps...especially the critters!  So be warned that you will be seeing more in the future! Lol

I'll be back tomorrow with another version.

Spring is here!

Hi, gals!

Your final day of thank you cards!  JOY!!!!!  I'm not sure which of us is happier, you guys or me! Probably ME!

I grabbed Yvonne Creations Spring-tastic Corner for this card.  Quick & easy and still beautiful.

I promise the next card I post will NOT be a thank you!  I should be sending all of you thank you's for hanging in for all of these!  ha ha

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hello!

Hello, everyone!

Another day of thank you cards and favorite dies.  Today I'm using Sue Wilson Mini Gemini Collection-Dorado and Impression Obsession Fancy Cutout Border.

One more day of these & you are done with the suffering!  ha ha  I applaud all of you for hanging on this long!

Thank you for caring!

Happy Saturday!

Bet you are glad the week is over & you can relax for two days!  Hopefully, the weather where you are is beautiful!

Today I'm sharing a black & white thank you.  I pulled Wild Rose Studio's Corner Flourish for the corners.

I only have two more days of thank you cards to go!  I can hear everyone cheering from here! ha ha Believe me, I am cheering too!  I am SO tired of thank you cards!

QKR Stampede Challenge- Spring is in the Air!

Hi, Ladies!

Another Friday!  How quickly they roll around!  And that means it is time for another QKR Stampede Challenge!  Today's theme is "Spring Is In The Air" so think of kites, spring flowers, planting gardens.....all the things you associate with spring!  I went with digi# 24222 Spring Breeze for my card.

Don't you love this cute image?  It could be just a "celebrate" spring card or a birthday card for a child.

I can't wait to see what YOU associate with spring!  The possibilities are endless!  And the winner will get their choice of several digi stamps!  It's a win, win for sure!

Just a little thank "ewe"

Hello, everyone!

As promised, I am back with a little lamb today.  I've had this particular stamp since I first began stamping & making cards!  It's still one of my favorites.  Love the play on words and she is just so darned cute!

I grabbed a Joy Craft Square 6002/0147 and Memory Box Stitched Scalloped Circles for this card.

I'm watching Brady laying on his pillow in the sunroom directly in the middle of the sun! Seeing him laying there is making me want to join him in my favorite chair!  I love these warmer days!

Flowers for you!

Hi, gals!

Today I felt like flower power for my thank you card.  I prefer flat flowers as they are cheaper to mail.  Once you get dimensional flowers glued to a card, you are looking at a box as your only mailing option.  It is so much easier to add flat flowers and throw them in the mail.

I'll see you tomorrow with a little lamb!

Violets for you!

Hello gals!

They just keep coming don't they?  I grabbed another favorite die, Poppy Stamps Hampstead Corner, for this thank you.  And my favorite paper....gingham!

I tend to collect a lot of corner dies, just because they are so versatile.  You can use them in all four corners for a gorgeous frame or just use one or two for a totally different look.

See you tomorrow with some more flowers!

Sherri

Loving care....

Hello, friends!

As usual when I have a sympathy card, I tend to grab some of my favorite dies.  This time I grabbed Tutti Designs Fancy Heart Corner and Marianne Designs Anja's Oval Die.

You could easily change the sentiment on this card & turn it into a birthday card or even a get well card.

Two weeks left until April!  Which means spring is almost here! Hooray!!!

Sherri

Back to the usual...

Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going great & you are enjoying every minute of it!  Even though I am retired, I still enjoy weekends for some odd reason!  ha ha  Probably because I get to see family then and my daughter & I can do things on Saturdays!

Yes, it is another thank you card.  Sorry, but I had a large order for them and had a lot of fun coming up with different things.  For today's card I went with Memory Box Sonora Rose (which cuts AND embosses!) and Spellbinders Elegant Ovals (one of my go to dies).

I loved this background paper!  Although I normally don't buy single sheets of any paper, I saw this in a scrapbook store & picked up 2 of them.  Now I wish I had gotten more!  Love the bright, happy colors and pattern of it!

Back tomorrow with a sympathy card!

Hugs,
Sherri

A Critter Thank You!

Happy Saturday!

I bet you are ready to enjoy the weekend & probably have a ton of things to catch up on don't you? I remember those days well!  Trying to work left you busy scrambling to get everything done on the weekend.  Retirement has been such a wonderful change!

I love "critter" stamps!  Especially hedgehogs!  The background die on this is Cheery Lynn French Lattice Small Frame.  I love the difference a great die makes to any card!

I'll be back tomorrow with more cards from my card order.  Enjoy your weekend!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Congratulations!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Are you exhausted after a long week at work? Or are you ready for some fun & relaxation?  Grab your supplies and join in this week's challenge at QKR Stampede!  The theme is "Congratulations" and that could be a new house, new job, baby, graduation......almost anything!  For my card, I chose digi # 8811 "Special Delivery" and went with a baby card.

This is such a darling image & perfect for a baby card!  I decided to do a girl's card, but you can easily change it to a boy's card by making a blue blanket instead.  Or go with a pastel color if you don't know the sex yet.

Head on over to QKR Stampede & enter your version of "Congratulations" and you may be the grand winner of some new stamps!

Hugs,
Sherri

Caring thoughts.....

Happy Thursday!

As a little break between thank you cards, today's card is a sympathy card.  I used Sue Wilson's Stitched Lattice Frames and Tutti Designs Tree of Life on this.

I adore both of these dies!  I can see so many uses for the lattice frame & that tree is just gorgeous! Sometimes you see a die you just HAVE to have & both of these fell into that category!

I hope this has given you a small break because we are back to thank you cards again on Saturday.   See you here tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Happy Tuesday!

I think I am as tired of thank you cards as you are at this point, so we are taking a break & I am posting a sympathy card on Thursday!

This card is made with a Stamping Up stamp from long ago.

I keep the insides of all my thank you cards blank so you can write your own thank you sentiments inside.  Do you do that too?

I'll be back tomorrow with our Dies R Us challenge for the 15th!

Sherri

Double the fun!

Yes, ladies....

More thank you cards!  These are a little different than my normal cards.  The base of both is Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border.  I adore this die!

For the blue card, I used Poppy Stamps Kirby Blooms, which also embosses the flowers & leaves.

For the pink card, I used Memory Box Honey Blossom Sprig.  There are so many ways you could use that base card design!

Back tomorrow with a final thank you for awhile.  Yeaaaaa!!!

Hugs,
Sherri

What else....another thank you!

Hello, everyone!

And happy Sunday! I hope you are having a great day!  My daughter & I have been church shopping for several weeks & have found a church that is a perfect fit.  We both enjoy the services and their choir is amazing.  She was unhappy with her old one, and since I haven't lived here before, I needed a new church as well.  Luckily, we both fell in love with the same one!

Today's card is another thank you.  This one was also quick & easy.  I used Tutti Designs Swirly Thanks for this one.

Tomorrow I have 2 cards to share.

Sherri

Another Thank You!

Hello again!

Another quick & easy thank you card! This time I grabbed Tutti Designs Butterfly Vine Border for my card!

This will be a short post as I've got a lot to post yet and cards to pack for mailing.

Back tomorrow with another thank you.  You will tired of all the thank you cards by the time I am done, I'm sure.  But maybe it will give you an idea for one of your own!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Thank You!

Hello, again!

Are you all ready to join in this week's challenge at QKR Stampede for a chance to win some darling digi stamps?  What better way to spend part of your weekend than doing something fun and creative!
The theme this week is "Thank You" and we all need those thank you cards from time to time so this is a great chance to add to your standby stash!

For my card, I chose digi# 56201 from Eureka Stamps (the sister company to QKR Stampede).

Head on over to QKR Stampede or Eureka Stamps to check out their selection of stamps! And put your thinking cap on and see what you can come up with for your chance to win!

Thank You!

Hello, again!

I've been working on a card order for a friend & will be sharing some of them in the next couple of weeks.  Today's card is a thank you.  We all need those from time to time, don't we!  I pulled a couple of my favorite butterfly dies from my stash & came up with this card using Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly small #2 and Memory Box Delicate Butterfly Arch.

If any of you follow me on Facebook, you know I have a lot to be thankful for.  My new place is just swarming with wildlife of all kinds!  Yesterday I saw a gorgeous red fox and today I saw his mate. Canadian geese are daily visitors and have been all winter.  Apparently, the locals call them "Lincoln Geese" because they winter here and don't fly south.

I'll be back tomorrow with a QKR challenge and again on Saturday with another thank you.

Sherri

Have a fairytale kind of birthday!

Happy Hump Day!

Another card to share today from "A Day for Daisies" that I made for a friend.  I love their images!

A touch of Wink of Stella, some glitter & she was ready to go!  It doesn't get any easier than that!

Hope your week is going well!  This will be a short post as I have some things to take care of, but I'll be back with more fun projects!

Pretty in purple!

Hello, everyone!

Back with one of my favorite digi stamps of all time!  This little beauty is from "A Day for Daisies" and I have colored her many times.  There is just such a sweetness to her that I go back to her again & again.  Do you have favorite digi's or stamps that you go back to over & over again?

I embossed the background first & then cut her from one of my older dies. Sweet & simple!

I'll be back tomorrow with another "A Day for Daisies" image for you!

Happy Birthday!

Hello!

As promised, I'm back with a cute birthday card for a little girl!  The image is from Sassy Cheryl, one of my favorite places for digi stamps.

I grabbed a birthday background die for additional interest.  I've had this one awhile, but haven't used it much.  Truthfully, I had forgotten about it because I had put it with another die in the same envelope.  I've remedied that now!

Back tomorrow with one of my favorite images!

Sherri

Baby Elephant

Hi, gals!

Yes, I'm back again....this time with a baby card I made for a friend.  I wanted something simple, yet cute, so immediately went to my favorite baby dies!  There is nothing faster than doing a whole card from dies!

I'm still enjoying my "free" time now that the decorating is complete!  The only drawback is the sunroom!  It is just way too tempting to just go out there & sit in the sun instead of work!  ha ha Brady absolutely lives out there now!  The craft room is my "happy place" and the sunroom is his!

I'll be back tomorrow with a girl's birthday card!

Hugs,
Sherri

Batter Up!

Happy Saturday!

I hope you are all relaxing & doing fun things to recharge your batteries!  There is a slim chance I will have company today, so I hope I am doing fun things as well!

Today's card is another in the little boys birthday category!  What little boy doesn't like to play ball!
The image is another from Sassy Cheryl.

Obviously, he just started the game or he would be much dirtier by now.  ha ha   The forecast for today is 61, but I'm guessing we will go much higher.  It really does feel like baseball weather right now!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hi, friends!

Is March coming in like a lion or a lamb in your part of the country?  Hopefully, it will come in like a lamb and leave the same way!  I think we have all had enough of wild weather for awhile!

The challenge theme at QKR Stampede for this week is "Anything Goes" and that is always a big favorite with everyone!  Pick out your favorite stamp or dies & see what you come up with.  For my card I decided on digi # 15315 Carpenter.  He looks like he is prepared for anything doesn't he? And if he is missing any tools, I threw in a few extra! Lol!

There are so many adorable stamps at QKR Stampede and their sister company Eureka Stamps!  Head on over to check them out for yourself!

Hugs,
Sherri

Still having fun!

Hi, everyone!

Well, I am still having fun working on my cards, now that the house is all decorated.  (Except for a great mirror coming Thursday for the sunroom).  It has been so much fun having new rooms and walls to decorate!

I'm working on some cards for a friend & among those she wants are boy birthday cards.  Here is one I just finished this afternoon!  The image is Sassy Cheryl, one of my favorite artists.  I grabbed a couple of "beach" themed dies and it was done!  Yes....I have a whole category of "beach"....I know, it's an addiction...but what can I do!  ha ha

I'll be back tomorrow with the new QKR Stampede challenge for the week!  And look for me on Saturday with another little guy card!

Until then, enjoy your week!

Sherri

Dies R Us Challenge - Use Something New

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Your week is half over and I have a fantastic way to celebrate that!  The new challenge for Dies R Us today is to "Use Something New" and I'm betting all you "die" addicts out there have some new dies you are just itching to use!  I just one awhile ago that is now one of my most favorite dies....I know, they are ALL my favorites!  ha ha  The Tutti Designs Tulip Corner caught my eye the minute it went online and it makes a "WOW" card every time!  The other die I used is an old one, but one I use a lot.  Spellbinders Elegant Ovals.  Here is the card I made using both of these!

Grab your new dies & join us in the current challenge! You may be the winner of the gift voucher to our amazing store!  And don't forget to check out the daily Dies R Us Inspiration Blog!

Enjoy the rest of the week, gals!  And be sure you spend at least part of it doing something creative! It's good for the soul!

Hugs,
Sherri
