Snail Mail!

Hello, again!

I don't know about you, but I always love getting letters or notes from friends and family who live a distance away.  I made this cutie into a note card you could send someone you needed to catch up with your latest news.  It's another Stamping Bella design and I think it was the addition of the cat trying to help that made me just have to have this stamp!

I guess we all just need a little help from our friends sometimes don't we!  They have certainly figured out how to reach the mailbox.  I think I'd be grumpy too if I was the little gal on the bottom! I love her face!  Bet they are sending a letter to their grandma!

I'll see you tomorrow with another Stamping Bella!

Happy Birthday!

Hello, friends!

Hope your Monday is going well and your week is off to a great start! I know how much we all love really fast & simple birthday cards and this certainly fills the bill !  Two dies & a few minutes! Perfect for those last minute "Oops" I forgot birthdays but it still looks like you spent a lot of time on it.

All it took was Tutti Designs Butterfly Vine Border and Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Channel!

Tomorrow I have another darling Stamping Bella image to share!

Fly me to the moon!

Happy Sunday!

I got distracted with outside stuff yesterday & didn't get anything posted.  It's beautiful here and there were a lot of things I wanted to do to spruce up the front of the house.  Melissa & I spent the evening putting down some black mulch around the bushes.  Yes, black!  I had never seen it before but she thought it would look best with my gray house & she was so right! It's beautiful! But what a dirty job it was!  I looked like I had been playing in tar pits when I came inside.  Thank heavens it all washed off but it took several scrubbings to get rid of.

Today's card is a special one for me because the stamp set I used was sent to me by a dear friend. She had gotten an extra and thought of me.  You can find her amazing blog here:

http://cgscards4u.blogspot.com/2017/04/life-is-beautiful-with-flowers-in-it.html

She does extraordinary work and her cards are gorgeous!

Here is the House Mouse set she sent me! Don't you love it?  It's hard to tell who is having the most fun, the butterfly or the mouse!

I'll be back tomorrow with a really easy and quick birthday card!  See you then!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Feathered Friends

Hello, again!

Are you enjoying the spring so far?  Me, too!  It seemed like winter went on forever, even if it was a relative mild one here.  Since this is Friday, it is time for another QKR Stampede challenge! The theme this week is "Feathered Friends" and there are literally tons of images to chose from at the QKR store or you can pull out your own favorite!  For my card, I decided on digi# 18511 Happy Pelican.  I pulled out a couple of my favorite dies & I was done!

I thought this would be a great guy card!  You can never have enough of those on hand, can you? They are always the last cards I make just because they are so hard.  There just aren't that many things guys really enjoy on a card and you can only do so many golf or fishing cards!

Get your thinking  caps on & see what you can come up with! You may be the lucky winner this week!

Tea Time

Hello, gals!

Back to lace and girly things today!  YEAAAA!!!  They are so much more fun to create!

I'm still working on those get well cards for church and I decided every woman would like this.  It's simple but feminine.  I grabbed a Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die and combined it with a Taylored Expressions Eventful Tea Party die.  Quick & easy!

Back tomorrow with our QKR Stampede weekly challenge! See you then!

Get Well Soon!

Hello, and Happy Hump Day!

The week is flying by isn't it!  As I mentioned yesterday, I have one more version of a guy get well card to share today.  When I was searching for something I could use I remembered Memory Box Calm Countryside and pulled it out.  An addition of a couple more deer from my die stash and a cloud from Memory Box Stitched Clouds and it was done!

I think this would be suitable for any guy!  No flowers, no lace, nothing fussy....just a nice woodland scene.  Tomorrow I will be back with some feminine cards again!  And back to my comfort zone! Lol!

Guy Get Well Cards

Hi again, friends!

As promised, I have a couple of guy get well cards to share today.  It is such a struggle trying to get a "manly" get well card.  But there are times when you do need them, aren't there?

I used a Poppy Stamp Sylvan Frame for the greenery and frame.  The deer were from my stash of deer dies.  Yes, I do have more than one.  I think I have 3 or 4 different versions.  Can you ever have too many when you are doing Christmas cards?  ha ha

Tomorrow I have one more guy card to share & then we are back to the feminine cards!

Wishing you "re-leaf"

Happy Monday!

I've been working on more get well cards for church and found this cute little guy in my get well stash.  He is from Inky Antics and I love the play on words!

The cute sun is part of a set from Lawn Fawn called Spring Showers.   I thought some polka dot paper would be perfect for him.  These cards would even work for a guy get well as they are pretty generic.  I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of guy cards.

Hope your week is fabulous!

Sherri

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope all of you are having a wonderful Easter!  They said last Sunday that we are expecting over 3,500 at our Easter service this morning, so I'm guessing we will be leaving early in the hope of getting a parking place!

Although this little guy isn't on an Easter card, I thought I would share him anyway since he is a bunny and they just seem to go with Easter!  He is a digi from All Dressed Up.

I gave him a good coat of Wink of Stella so he sparkles!  I do love my glitter!!

We are going to the Venue for Easter brunch!  It will be my first time there, but Melissa says it is fabulous!  And she is never wrong!!  ha ha

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Dies R Us Challenge - Tags

Hello, friends!

Well, it's the fifteenth of the month again & time for our next Dies R Us challenge! And the theme this time is "Tags" and you can do a tag for any occasion.  I decided to do an Easter tag which I will use for an Easter gift!  Here is what I came up with!

I used the following dies to make this tag:

Whatever dies you may need for your creation, be sure you stop at the Dies R Us Store before shopping anywhere else!  They have the absolute best selection anywhere and some of the lowest prices!  It's always my most favorite place to shop!

If you are the winner, you will get a gift voucher to the store!  So grab your supplies and see what you can come up with!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Flowers

Hello, again!

How quickly the week flew!  One day it was Monday & now it's Friday!  I hope you are going to have a relaxing weekend!  I certainly intend to!

While you are relaxing this weekend, you may want to make a card for the QKR Stampede weekly challenge.  The theme this week is "Flowers" and who doesn't love flowers?  Even though we all think of QKR Stampede as the place to go for cute people and critters, they also have a good selection of gorgeous flower stamps!  I chose digi # 1511 Rose Border for my card.

I grabbed one of my border punches for this beautiful scalloped border.  After coloring the flowers, I added a layer of Wink of Stella over the whole thing.  I wish you could see it, but my photography skills are not my best talent.  lol

Check out the flower stamps at QKR or grab one of your own favorites and join in the fun! If you are the winner, you will have your choice of some fabulous stamps!

Sherri

Let's Celebrate!!

Hi, gals!

Don't you love making birthday cards?  I think they are my most favorite thing!  Whether they are for children, women or yes, even the dreaded guy cards, I enjoy them all.  I think giving someone a handmade birthday card is just another way to show how much you care for them!

This chubby little kitten and her best friend mouse look like they are really ready to paint the town red!  This is another Stamping Bella stamp!

Back tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

More Bunnies!

Happy Hump Day!

I bet a lot of you are already thinking ahead to the weekend, aren't you?  Me too!  Weekends seem to be busier even though I am retired!

This is the same bunny image from Stamping Bella that I shared on yesterday's card.  There are so many things you can do with this little cutie!

This image colors up quickly too!  So if you have a lot of cards to make, this is a great choice of stamps!

See you tomorrow with a birthday card!

Some Bunny cute!

Happy Tuesday!

Hope your week is going well & your weather is beautiful!  I have yet another bunny card today!  I LOVE the bunnies that Stamping Bella has!  Each one of them is just adorable & it is hard to pass them up!

How cute is this chubby little gal!  She is perfect for just about any celebration from Easter to Mother's Day and certainly perfect for birthdays too!

I actually made 2 from this stamp and will share the other one tomorrow.

Happy Birthday!!

Hello, again!

As promised, I'm back with a birthday card.  This is another of Stamping Bella's stamps and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.  Critters have always had a fond place in my heart!

How sweet is she?  And putting her with gingham paper just makes her look even better!

I use Wink of Stella on all my cards, but it never shows in the photo.

This card is going to my aunt Marilyn.  Her birthday was yesterday, so I'm hoping she liked it!

Back tomorrow with another critter!

Sherri

An encouragement card!

Hi, friends!

I think we all have times when we could use a little encouragement, don't we?  I know I do! So I found this darling "Stamping Bella" image & sentiment that I thought would be just perfect to send someone a little boost when they need it!  Isn't she adorable?  I am REALLY in to these stamps right now!  After buying mostly digi stamps for the past couple of years, I found these & just can't get enough of them.  I'll be sharing several cards the rest of this week that are made with them.

This could easily be a Thanksgiving card just as well by changing the sentiment....or a fall birthday card!

I will be back tomorrow with a birthday card.  I couldn't post it until tomorrow as it will be given to my aunt.

Enjoy your week!
Hugs,
Sherri

Awwwwww....you shouldn't have!

Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start & you have lots of fun things planned!  I have a thank you to share today.  And I'm in love with this Stamping Bella stamp!

Isn't this a sweet image?  And just perfect for a thank you!  I love bunnies!  Although we have tons of Canadian (Lincoln) geese and 2 foxes, I have yet to see a rabbit here.  Perhaps the foxes are taking care of them.  I just prefer not to think of what they may be eating as I love squirrels, rabbits, and just about every other critter you can think of.  So I am going to pretend my fox are vegetarian!  ha ha

Enjoy your weekend!!  Find some time to relax and spend time with friends and family!

QKR Stampede Challenge - Easter Cards!

Happy Friday and Happy April, everyone!

Are the flowers coming up yet where you live?  As soon as the leaves bud out on the trees and the first tulips and daffodils come up, it is officially spring!  And what makes you feel more like spring than Easter cards?  The theme for this week's QKR Stampede challenge is "Easter Cards" and I'm sure you have lots of ideas for those!  I used digi # 15209 Daydreaming Bunny for my card.  A few of my favorite Easter dies & I was done!

This little guy looks more like he is sleepy after delivering all his baskets of eggs!  If you need images, be sure to check out all the darling bunnies at QKR Stampede's shop.

Enjoy your weekend!

Sherri

Nurse Nora to the rescue!

Hi, there!

Today is the last get well card for awhile.  Yeaaaa!!!  I think I have enough in my stash now for awhile.

This image is from Swiss Pixies and is called Nurse Nora.  I've had her for quite awhile.  She was one of the stamps I got from our favorite scrapbook/stamp store before it went out of business.  It was always a fun road trip to check out the latest stamps and papers!  Sadly, there are fewer and fewer stamp or scrapbooking stores still in business.  I'm sure digital stamps are to blame for a lot of them going under.  It is so much cheaper to buy a digi than to spend $15 or $16 dollars on a real stamp.  And you can shop in your pajamas!

Back tomorrow with our QKR Stampede challenge!

Sherri

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Happy Hump Day!

The weeks just seem to fly don't they?  Especially as you get older!  I always thought it was an old wive's tale, but its absolutely true!  One day it is Monday and before you know it the weekend is here!

Today's get well card is made with a Stampavie stamp "Ruffles get well soon" by Helz Puppleditch.
Quite the name, isn't it!

This poor little guy looks like he has had it!  All he wants is his favorite chair & a pillow.

Back tomorrow with my final get well card!

Sherri

How to Recover Quickly!

Happy Tuesday!

Are you ready for a chuckle??  This House Mouse stamp always makes me laugh! Hopefully, it will do the same for whoever gets it!

Reading the rules for quick recovery will make you laugh! Especially, do not chew your bandage off!

See you tomorrow with a cute puppy!

Here's an aspirin.....hope you feel better!

Hello!

I think we have all called the doctor & been advised to take 2 aspirins and call back if you don't feel better, haven't we?  ha ha  That seems to be the standard answer for a lot of issues.

How cute is this House Mouse image?  What a great friend he is to run for the aspirins and ice!
We all need someone who would do that for us when we are sick!

Back tomorrow with my favorite House Mouse image!  The one that always makes me laugh!

Grab your crutches!

Hi, friends!

I've had this cute Hambo stamp since I first began making cards & it is still a favorite!  And one I would never part with!  We all have those in our stash don't we!

I thought this would be a great card for anyone with knee or foot issues.  And at my age, that probably accounts for a lot of people! Lol  I've lost count of the number of friends who also have knee issues like mine.

Back tomorrow with another House Mouse card!

Sherri

Dies R Us Challenge - Easter

Hello, friends!

Hard to believe that Easter is just about 2 weeks away!  After waiting so impatiently for winter to go, I'm sure we are all thrilled with the warmer weather and longer days!  I think what I hate even more than snow is the shortness of the days and the lack of real sun!

The Dies R Us challenge for today is to do an Easter card!  The only thing you have to do is to use at least one die!  So get out your supplies & see what you can come up with, while at the same time getting a jump start on those Easter cards!

I grabbed just two dies for my card.  Wild Rose Studio Olivette Corner and Impression Obsession Easter Cutout Square.

If you are in need of Easter dies, just head on over to the Dies R Us Store!  They have everything you could ever want....and MORE!  If you are the winner, you will get a gift voucher so you can shop even more!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Up, Up, & Away!

Hello, again!

Once again we have a really fun theme for the weekly QKR Stampede challenge!  "Up, Up & Away" could be so many things!  And if you head to the QKR Stampede store, you will find a ton of stamps just perfect for this theme!  I decided on a cute & quirky turtle.  Digi # 8201 Floating Away.

Poor little guy looks like he may be re-thinking his decision to take to the skies!  Hope his balloon doesn't pop!  This would make a great card for a little boy.  Check out the other great digi stamps at the QKR Stampede store!

Hugs,
Sherri

Mouse Drops!

Hi, everyone!

We are switching gears from Stamping Bella mice to House Mouse mice for today's card.  What is there about mice that are so cute on cards but so horrific if we see one in real life?  ha ha

I grabbed a border die from Obsession Obsession called "Fancy Cutout Border" for an accent. All of my cards have a layer of Wink of Stella, but it is hard to see from the picture.

I'll be back tomorrow with one of my favorite Hambo stamps!

Another Stamping Bella ....

Hi, again!

As promised, I'm back with another get well card created with a Stamping Bella stamp.  It's actually the same stamp as yesterday's card.  But a change of dies makes a big difference in the final design.

I'm hoping these cute mice will help to cheer someone who is in need of cheering up!

We seem to be on a "mouse" run, as the card tomorrow is made with a House Mouse stamp.

See you then!

Sherri

Get Well Wishes

Hello, gals!

If memory serves me, I think I mentioned in an earlier post that my daughter & I had been church shopping and had finally found a church we both loved.  Well, they encourage you to become involved in special groups to make friends more easily and apparently, they have a group who sends handmade cards to those who have been in the hospital.  That sounded right up my alley, so I sat down & began making a variety of get well cards.  I'm sure you will tired of seeing them soon, but I had a lot of fun doing them.  And knowing this is one way I can help, makes me feel even better!

Here is my first card to share!

This was done with a cute Stamping Bella stamp I just recently purchased.  I have become a big fan of their stamps...especially the critters!  So be warned that you will be seeing more in the future! Lol

I'll be back tomorrow with another version.

Hugs,
Sherri

Spring is here!

Hi, gals!

Your final day of thank you cards!  JOY!!!!!  I'm not sure which of us is happier, you guys or me! Probably ME!

I grabbed Yvonne Creations Spring-tastic Corner for this card.  Quick & easy and still beautiful.

I promise the next card I post will NOT be a thank you!  I should be sending all of you thank you's for hanging in for all of these!  ha ha

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hello!

Hello, everyone!

Another day of thank you cards and favorite dies.  Today I'm using Sue Wilson Mini Gemini Collection-Dorado and Impression Obsession Fancy Cutout Border.

One more day of these & you are done with the suffering!  ha ha  I applaud all of you for hanging on this long!

Thank you for caring!

Happy Saturday!

Bet you are glad the week is over & you can relax for two days!  Hopefully, the weather where you are is beautiful!

Today I'm sharing a black & white thank you.  I pulled Wild Rose Studio's Corner Flourish for the corners.

I only have two more days of thank you cards to go!  I can hear everyone cheering from here! ha ha Believe me, I am cheering too!  I am SO tired of thank you cards!

QKR Stampede Challenge- Spring is in the Air!

Hi, Ladies!

Another Friday!  How quickly they roll around!  And that means it is time for another QKR Stampede Challenge!  Today's theme is "Spring Is In The Air" so think of kites, spring flowers, planting gardens.....all the things you associate with spring!  I went with digi# 24222 Spring Breeze for my card.

Don't you love this cute image?  It could be just a "celebrate" spring card or a birthday card for a child.

I can't wait to see what YOU associate with spring!  The possibilities are endless!  And the winner will get their choice of several digi stamps!  It's a win, win for sure!

Hugs,
Sherri

Just a little thank "ewe"

Hello, everyone!

As promised, I am back with a little lamb today.  I've had this particular stamp since I first began stamping & making cards!  It's still one of my favorites.  Love the play on words and she is just so darned cute!

I grabbed a Joy Craft Square 6002/0147 and Memory Box Stitched Scalloped Circles for this card.

I'm watching Brady laying on his pillow in the sunroom directly in the middle of the sun! Seeing him laying there is making me want to join him in my favorite chair!  I love these warmer days!

Sherri

Flowers for you!

Hi, gals!

Today I felt like flower power for my thank you card.  I prefer flat flowers as they are cheaper to mail.  Once you get dimensional flowers glued to a card, you are looking at a box as your only mailing option.  It is so much easier to add flat flowers and throw them in the mail.

I'll see you tomorrow with a little lamb!

Sherri

Violets for you!

Hello gals!

They just keep coming don't they?  I grabbed another favorite die, Poppy Stamps Hampstead Corner, for this thank you.  And my favorite paper....gingham!

I tend to collect a lot of corner dies, just because they are so versatile.  You can use them in all four corners for a gorgeous frame or just use one or two for a totally different look.

See you tomorrow with some more flowers!

Hugs,
Sherri

Loving care....

Hello, friends!

As usual when I have a sympathy card, I tend to grab some of my favorite dies.  This time I grabbed Tutti Designs Fancy Heart Corner and Marianne Designs Anja's Oval Die.

You could easily change the sentiment on this card & turn it into a birthday card or even a get well card.

Two weeks left until April!  Which means spring is almost here! Hooray!!!

Hugs,
Sherri

Back to the usual...

Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going great & you are enjoying every minute of it!  Even though I am retired, I still enjoy weekends for some odd reason!  ha ha  Probably because I get to see family then and my daughter & I can do things on Saturdays!

Yes, it is another thank you card.  Sorry, but I had a large order for them and had a lot of fun coming up with different things.  For today's card I went with Memory Box Sonora Rose (which cuts AND embosses!) and Spellbinders Elegant Ovals (one of my go to dies).

I loved this background paper!  Although I normally don't buy single sheets of any paper, I saw this in a scrapbook store & picked up 2 of them.  Now I wish I had gotten more!  Love the bright, happy colors and pattern of it!

Back tomorrow with a sympathy card!

Hugs,
Sherri

A Critter Thank You!

Happy Saturday!

I bet you are ready to enjoy the weekend & probably have a ton of things to catch up on don't you? I remember those days well!  Trying to work left you busy scrambling to get everything done on the weekend.  Retirement has been such a wonderful change!

I love "critter" stamps!  Especially hedgehogs!  The background die on this is Cheery Lynn French Lattice Small Frame.  I love the difference a great die makes to any card!

I'll be back tomorrow with more cards from my card order.  Enjoy your weekend!

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Congratulations!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Are you exhausted after a long week at work? Or are you ready for some fun & relaxation?  Grab your supplies and join in this week's challenge at QKR Stampede!  The theme is "Congratulations" and that could be a new house, new job, baby, graduation......almost anything!  For my card, I chose digi # 8811 "Special Delivery" and went with a baby card.

This is such a darling image & perfect for a baby card!  I decided to do a girl's card, but you can easily change it to a boy's card by making a blue blanket instead.  Or go with a pastel color if you don't know the sex yet.

Head on over to QKR Stampede & enter your version of "Congratulations" and you may be the grand winner of some new stamps!

Hugs,
Sherri

Caring thoughts.....

Happy Thursday!

As a little break between thank you cards, today's card is a sympathy card.  I used Sue Wilson's Stitched Lattice Frames and Tutti Designs Tree of Life on this.

I adore both of these dies!  I can see so many uses for the lattice frame & that tree is just gorgeous! Sometimes you see a die you just HAVE to have & both of these fell into that category!

I hope this has given you a small break because we are back to thank you cards again on Saturday.   See you here tomorrow with our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Happy Tuesday!

I think I am as tired of thank you cards as you are at this point, so we are taking a break & I am posting a sympathy card on Thursday!

This card is made with a Stamping Up stamp from long ago.

I keep the insides of all my thank you cards blank so you can write your own thank you sentiments inside.  Do you do that too?

I'll be back tomorrow with our Dies R Us challenge for the 15th!

Hugs,
Sherri

Double the fun!

Yes, ladies....

More thank you cards!  These are a little different than my normal cards.  The base of both is Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border.  I adore this die!

For the blue card, I used Poppy Stamps Kirby Blooms, which also embosses the flowers & leaves.

For the pink card, I used Memory Box Honey Blossom Sprig.  There are so many ways you could use that base card design!

Back tomorrow with a final thank you for awhile.  Yeaaaaa!!!

Hugs,
Sherri

What else....another thank you!

Hello, everyone!

And happy Sunday! I hope you are having a great day!  My daughter & I have been church shopping for several weeks & have found a church that is a perfect fit.  We both enjoy the services and their choir is amazing.  She was unhappy with her old one, and since I haven't lived here before, I needed a new church as well.  Luckily, we both fell in love with the same one!

Today's card is another thank you.  This one was also quick & easy.  I used Tutti Designs Swirly Thanks for this one.

Tomorrow I have 2 cards to share.

Hugs,
Sherri

Another Thank You!

Hello again!

Another quick & easy thank you card! This time I grabbed Tutti Designs Butterfly Vine Border for my card!

This will be a short post as I've got a lot to post yet and cards to pack for mailing.

Back tomorrow with another thank you.  You will tired of all the thank you cards by the time I am done, I'm sure.  But maybe it will give you an idea for one of your own!

Hello, again!

Are you all ready to join in this week's challenge at QKR Stampede for a chance to win some darling digi stamps?  What better way to spend part of your weekend than doing something fun and creative!
The theme this week is "Thank You" and we all need those thank you cards from time to time so this is a great chance to add to your standby stash!

For my card, I chose digi# 56201 from Eureka Stamps (the sister company to QKR Stampede).

Head on over to QKR Stampede or Eureka Stamps to check out their selection of stamps! And put your thinking cap on and see what you can come up with for your chance to win!

Thank You!

Hello, again!

I've been working on a card order for a friend & will be sharing some of them in the next couple of weeks.  Today's card is a thank you.  We all need those from time to time, don't we!  I pulled a couple of my favorite butterfly dies from my stash & came up with this card using Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly small #2 and Memory Box Delicate Butterfly Arch.

If any of you follow me on Facebook, you know I have a lot to be thankful for.  My new place is just swarming with wildlife of all kinds!  Yesterday I saw a gorgeous red fox and today I saw his mate. Canadian geese are daily visitors and have been all winter.  Apparently, the locals call them "Lincoln Geese" because they winter here and don't fly south.

I'll be back tomorrow with a QKR challenge and again on Saturday with another thank you.

Hugs,
Sherri

Have a fairytale kind of birthday!

Happy Hump Day!

Another card to share today from "A Day for Daisies" that I made for a friend.  I love their images!

A touch of Wink of Stella, some glitter & she was ready to go!  It doesn't get any easier than that!

Hope your week is going well!  This will be a short post as I have some things to take care of, but I'll be back with more fun projects!

Hugs,
Sherri

Pretty in purple!

Hello, everyone!

Back with one of my favorite digi stamps of all time!  This little beauty is from "A Day for Daisies" and I have colored her many times.  There is just such a sweetness to her that I go back to her again & again.  Do you have favorite digi's or stamps that you go back to over & over again?

I embossed the background first & then cut her from one of my older dies. Sweet & simple!

I'll be back tomorrow with another "A Day for Daisies" image for you!

Hugs,
Sherri
