Back to Basics

Well, it's back to basics for me today!  I finished up the last of my Christmas cards & mailed them this morning.  Thank Heavens!  I didn't think I would ever get done this year.  Now I can get back to basics & concentrate on building up a stash of cards for the rest of the year.  On that note, I have a birthday card to share tonite that I made for one of the guys at work last week.  He has a "challenged" cat named Bob.  Bob, it appears, has some issues with his motor skills & is not great with jumping forward but can do quite well jumping straight up! I decided a cat theme would be perfect for his birthday card & I think he really liked it.

The paper is from Recollections, and the stamps were from an old Stampin Up set. I stamped the cat on the paper so I could paper piece the rug to match.  It's colored in Prismacolor brush markers & the die was from Spellbinders.

I hope you all have a good week!  And remember to count your blessings!!
Catch you later.

  6. Hi Sherri! What a sweet funny card! The thing is I went back to as simple as I could as well when I felt Christmas was just around the corner. I admit I haven't done as many cards as I had in mind, but well, I'm happy Christmas is here eventually":)
