Happy Monday!

Well, I hope you all survived the storms we had last nite.  I have never seen so much lightning & for such a long duration.  It didn't stop the entire nite. I can attest to this since I was awake all nite!  You know how much I just LOVE storms!  NOT!!!  And even if I could have slept thru them, the heat in my bedroom would have kept me awake anyway.  Yup, the air conditioner is on the fritz! So my first day of vacation is going to be spent waiting for the repairman to come & hopefully tell me he can fix (and not have to replace) my over 30 yr. old air conditioner.

My grandson is here this week, but luckily, he is able to stay cool as there is a small window air conditioner upstairs where he is sleeping. See how much I love him! I gave HIM the cool bedroom!

We have been busy today already.  I decided to replace my camera & get one more geared toward pictures of cards than my old one.  Josh is helping me by giving me a blow by blow account of how it works & what I have to do.  I have one smart grandchild! And he isn't even reading the manual.

This is my first attempt at picture taking with my new camera.  The colors turned out beautifully.  Now I just have to figure out how to edit, tweak & size things before I post.  Most all of that can be done in the camera, I just have to learn how.  The stamp is from Penny Black & it is colored in pencils & gamsol. I used my favorite papers from K & Co & added a bow from my ribbon stash.

We are in for another round of severe storms tonite again. I hope all of you are staying safe & most of all, staying dry!

Stay tuned for my next attempt at learning something new, and have a great week!

Catch you all later!

  1. Very cute! I love those papers. It almost looks like rows and rows of ribbon. I lived for two years in SW Missouri with the storms and heat and humidity, so I feel for you. I'm glad your little sweet one is cool and comfortable! You're a good Grandma!

  2. This is so sweet Sherri. Your pictures look terrific. If you want a bigger picture you can do that when you add it to blogger. You just add your picture then if you click on it when it is still in edit you can change to small med or large. Have fun with your grandson. Stay dry and cool too.

  3. This card is adorable Sherri!! I love hedgies!! Your bright papers really make the image pop and your colouring is true perfection as always!
I sure hope blogger is going to let me post this tonight!

  4. hahaha - I slept through the storm! Tim told me about it last night! lol I don't always though! Adorable card Sherri! The paper is perfect for this festive/congrats card!
