Little Buddies!

Happy New Year's Eve!

Are you staying home to avoid the madness outside tonight or are you someone who loves to be in the thick of the action?  As you probably guessed, I am the stay at home with a good book, some snacks & my feet up in the recliner! Brady, of course, will be sprawled on my lap as usual.  A good book, a purring cat & snacks!  What more could anyone want?  ha ha

I love this Sassy Cheryl's digi! They look so cozy and are obviously best of buddies.
The corners of this card were done with a Precious Marieke Snowflake Corner die.
I adore this die for winter cards!

See you tomorrow with another Sassy Cheryl digi and another of my favorite dies!

Sherri

Friends!

Hi, gals!

Another card to give you inspiration for next year's cards.  I love this QKR Stampede digi of this happy snowman and his buddy!  Looks like both of them are ready for the cold with their cute hats & scarfs.  I added a couple of Cheery Lynn Holly Corners to him.

Back tomorrow with one of my favorite cards.

Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Snowman or Snowflakes

Happy Friday!

Where did the month go!  Hope all of you had a fabulous Christmas & that we will ALL have a much better New Year!

The QKR Stampede challenge for today is Snowman or Snowflakes (or anything goes).  I grabbed a digi that had both!  Digi # 14514 Birdhouse.  The snowflakes are Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes.

Looks like he already has a tenant for his little house! With the freezing cold weather, I'm sure all the birds are looking for a nice warm spot out of the wind and weather!

Hope you have a great New Year and be careful if you go out on New Year's eve!  I'm not a party gal so that night is usually spent curled up in the recliner with a book & snacks! Much safer and MUCH warmer!

Hugs,
Sherri

Merry Christmas!

Hi, friends!

Yes, Christmas is over, but I got this great new die that I just had to use!  It will go in the stash for next year.  The beautiful scene is a Tutti Designs Fir Trees Arch Scene & the Merry Christmas sentiment is a Cheery Lynn Design sentiment.  I use it a lot!

I decided glitter paper in red would be the best way to show it off! What a great card this makes! I'm sure I will use it a lot more on next year's cards!

Join me tomorrow for our weekly QKR Stampede challenge!

Hugs,
Sherri

Let it Snow!

Hello, again!

As promised, here is the 2nd stamp from the set I mentioned yesterday.  I love this happy little snowman and just thought he had to go with this happy snowman paper! I miss making snowmen! I know....you are SUPPOSED to grow up!  Guess I never did!  So I've already decided if we get a deep enough snow this year I'm definitely sneaking out my back door to make one! I'm sure my cat Brady will watch me out the window & think I have completely lost my mind! ha ha

Have I talked anyone else into making a snowman?   If I make one, I'll take a picture of him and post it for you!  Promise!!

Sherri

Happy Holidays!

Hi, friends!

When making cards for the season, I pulled out an old set of Stampin Up called Big on Christmas from 2007!  Yes, I've had it a long, long time & still pull it out for some quick cards.  I paired it with a couple of trees from Obsession Impression Fir Trees for a quick & easy card.  If you have any of these stamps, you can make some really easy cards with them.  I will be sharing the other 2 stamps in this set in the next couple of days.

I'll be back tomorrow with the "snow" stamp!

Sherri

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope the weather has been cooperating with any of you that are traveling or have family that are! This time of year, you never know what the weather surprises will be.

Obviously these two friends didn't let the weather stop them from getting together to exchange gifts!
So I'm hoping wherever you are you are surrounded by all those you love and enjoying everything that makes this holiday so special. This is a Penny Black stamp from a set called "Jolly Friends."

Merry Christmas to all of you who have given me such joy with your friendship & encouragement over these last few years! I have been so blessed!

Sherri

Happy Christmas Eve!

Hi, gals!

I'm guessing everyone will be so busy today they won't have time to check out blogs.  I'm sure the same will be said for me too.  We always open our gifts Christmas eve night.  Do you do that too, or do you wait until Christmas morning?  In our family, everyone was always too excited to wait for morning!

I'm sure you already have your cards made & sent for this year, but you might like a few ideas for next year!

This is a Stamping Bella stamp that "jumped in my cart" on one of their Tuesday sale days.   The beautiful edge was one of three gorgeous dies in a Marianne Designs Petra's Christmas Border set. I buy all my dies from Dies R Us and if you sign up for their newsletter, you will be notified when they are having a "European Die" sale.  These are all dies they don't normally carry in the store, but get in several times a year for sale.

Hope your Christmas is everything you want it to be!
Merry Christmas from my house to yours!

Sherri

Moose on the Loose!

Hi, gals!

Are you counting the hours until Christmas eve about now?  Me too!  I'm so glad I won't have a long drive ahead of me anymore since I'm now living in Lincoln.  Or worrying about them on the road trying to drive to me!

This is another QKR Stampede moose.  I love them all!  Don't know what there is about a moose that makes you smile!

The dies I used were Poppy Stamps Stitched Holly Border & Cheery Lynn Holly Corner.

I hope you are ready for Christmas eve tomorrow.  Do you open gifts Christmas eve or Christmas day?  We open Christmas eve & always have.  Probably because nobody can wait the extra day! ha ha

Hope your Christmas is wonderful no matter what day you celebrate!
Hugs,
Sherri

QKR Stampede Challenge - Santa (or anything goes)

Hi, gals!

Only a couple of days left before the big day.  Hopefully, you have all your cards & shopping done & can relax & enjoy the holiday.  If you still need a last minute card, why not join our challenge for today & you could win some new stamps to play with once the holiday is over.

I grabbed digi # 8301 Checking It Twice for my card. The reindeer are Taylored Expressions On Dasher, On Dancer.

I see Santa is checking his list to be sure how many chimneys he will be sliding down! I hope you have been extra good this year so YOUR name is on his list!

Hugs,
Sherri
